Nothing but errors for anything i do theres an error when i put in keyfile where it says incorrect file size even thought it’s correct

Can’t get it to work only error message appears when trying to import files

i tried some other apps and they had a limit but this doesn’t. there is a very nice guide on youtube on how AmiiBoss works and its perfect. i got like 17 amiibos for free thanks to this. i can not recommend it enough.

Anyone who negatively reviewed this just didn’t know enough about what they were trying to do with it or had faulty files on their side. The best app to write amiibo for sure. It doesn’t hold your hand as much as others might, but that’s not a complaint because it’s free

After browsing the store and trying a few apps only to be locked behind a paywall or other ad driven measures. AmiiBoss is the real deal! Works as intended if you know what you’re doing and not hidden behind a wall! Fantastic.

Fyi, the first file you upload is not an amiibo file.
ESP if you get “wrong file size” error.

Other than that. Simple, as advertised. Reads and writes without any ads. 5 stars.

AmiiBoss is like one of the best ones to make amiibos and you don’t even need to pay for anything. Everything I’m here is free!!

not sure what’s with the negative reviews, great app that shows what amiibo file you put, tells info about it, and it’s usage in games

to use AmiiBoss you have to first put the key retail bin file on the home screen, after put the amiibo bin file you want in write, click it, then click write

I was able to successfully write the amiibo to a tag, but my switch didn’t register it as an amiibo. Anyone know how to fix this?

Since there's an entirely new app and all of the Amiibo support has been removed...I'm not entirely sure what I paid for previously.

Works Like It Says on the Tin!

App crashes when trying to launch (iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16.5).

I’m not sure what changed but any time you change bin files you get a pop up telling you how to “donate” to get rid of the pop, that you can’t close until after a designated length of time. After 2 writes I’m at 600 seconds, I’m going back to old android phone.

Best app for making amiibos.

This is literally the best app ever for amiibo. All the other amiibo apps out there require money for a single amiibo and those are very basic. This one doesn’t not. AmiiBoss is amazing because it gives you all the details of the amiibo; what they do in games and so much more! AmiiBoss is amazing thanks for creating it!

Best app for amiibo

It was a free app and has lately been getting updated to add a bunch of crap. What made AmiiBoss so good was how simple it was and now they are making you donate to remove this annoying pop up. They don’t even let you do it via IAP, they want you to bypass Apple and do it some shady way. I get you want to get paid for your time but this is not the way to go about it.

AmiiBoss used to be free, but now they have erased my previous amiibo library so they can charge money for it. I suggest avoiding AmiiBoss and using one of the better-developed Amiibo apps if they’re going to charge for its usage.

AmiiBoss used to be great, as it would store all my files, was simple and easy to use, and most importantly, it was free. But I opened up AmiiBoss today only to find that AmiiBoss has been changed around, making it look less appealing and more complicated than it was previously, it deleted all my files, and it now charges $10 to use after 5 free writes. This is very upsetting, as the best part of AmiiBoss was that it did not cost anything to use. I would have been fine with more ads, but instead I am now expected to pay $10 for an app that I use once every couple of months. Unfortunately, it seems as though it is time for me to move on from AmiiBoss, as even if I cannot find another free app, the alternatives are cheaper than this one is.

If you scour the bad reviews you’ll see that it’s mostly folks who haven’t the attention span to read instructions and/or those that want it to be completely free. It’s a great app with responsive developers and I’ve used it successfully since my initial download of the previous build. 10/10 Recommended!

I recently opened AmiiBoss to find it had updated. But this is the worst update i think an app has ever gotten. Stuff is moved around to new confusing spots which I guess I can deal with, but then I find out I can only write 5 amiibos unless I pay almost $10 for something I barely use. They feel like they easily could have just showed more ads for money but now they are making me pay money for something I already had. I will most likely not be using AmiiBoss again. It does what it’s supposed to but now you have to pay

Not only is this excellent and easy for writing NFCs from bin files, but AmiiBoss saved me last week.

I purchased a bunch of unmarked Amiibo cards and wanted to label them. Scanning them into AmiiBoss saved me hours of guesswork and now I have backups of those Amiibo as well!

The latest version looks every simpler to use. Thanks for a great app!

I’ve been a supporter of AmiiBoss for years. This latest version adds so many features from my wishlist. If you are new to AmiiBoss , please follow the included helpful guides. They are really well done!

this app works wonderfully for backing up your Ambiios onto an NFC card. Very easy to use and they were quick to respond when I had a problem. Highly recommend if you’re looking for your a NFC Amiibo writer app.

I have tried several apps & this is by far the easiest & most reliable one. Well worth the in app purchase for premium.

App does exactly what I want it to do! Easy way to organize and back up my amiibos. Customer support is 10/10 and very quick at responding!

Used for making my own cards for Animal Crossing and now I can invite anyone I want! So easy and nicely developed. Worth it to pay for the premium.

Take a previously free app that worked perfectly fine, add no new real functionality, then make it worse than before unless you pay some one time charge that is higher than alternative (better?) apps. Oh, and have this update also delete all of the user’s previous data (bins and key) for good measure.

The new update made it have in app purchase and I’m so mad from all of this. I’m not happy. Please make it free again. You can get a real job and just not beg us for money. I’m not paying 15 dollars to write more amiibos. Terrible move. Trash app now.
The last version of AmiiBoss I know is still good is 1.1 and I wish I could downgrade to 1.1

Updating AmiiBoss deletes ALL of your previous data. I will have to re-import my collection if I want to keep using AmiiBoss . I can’t even write more than five tags now since there is a hard paywall. They say they will grant you premium if you previously donated, but that hasn’t been my experience.

Does everything I want it to!

I use AmiiBoss all the time to emulate Amiibos instead of spending 80 bucks for one and it makes life so much cheaper and easier!

You can see the title. Last week the pay wall was added which makes AmiiBoss subscription based. I’m fine with paying for services so I guess I’ll go pay a flat rate for another, cheaper app.

AmiiBoss is great and easy. I got premium and the support team was incredible. I’m Gonna get flashiibo with this and I’m sure it will be great!

After seeing AmiiBoss recommended online and in reviews for easy setup I figured the nfc write limit would be good enough to test the software.

After confirming that AmiiBoss is consistently functioning well, that it can save and write amiibos, and that I can easily recover my paid unlimited write functionality I am very happy to say that AmiiBoss has no downsides that I can find as if writing this review.

I highly recommend it if you are trying to backup and make new amiibos of various kinds. You also don’t have to use a functioning amiibo to write your own, you can very easily upload and use your own files/backup for amiibo creation.

Reading and writing nfc’s can be a bit finicky however it’s significantly easier to use and more reliable than any of the other similar apps.

Most of the other apps didn’t even recognize my nfc scans.

Love using AmiiBoss so much, has helped me save so much on buying amiibos! All of the people downvoting AmiiBoss didn’t know what it was like when it was donation-based (writing amiibos was on a timer that exponentially increased over time). Take a second to navigate AmiiBoss and see where all of the buttons have been moved to then start writing amiibos! Super easy and love to use.

AmiiBoss worked fine, got the job done, and was the in general the barebones easy for someone who knows what their doing. Now they’ve completely ruined it by making it cost money. The same features are there, but now there’s more stuff that’s unnecessary to justify a whooping 10 dollar premium for an app that used to be free. Worse, they’ve added ads. I’ll mourn what once was, and watch what was once the only free ios option disappear. You’d get a worst update ever award.

Definitely worth getting the premium version

I have been using AmiiBoss for a little while and watched some of the changes. Overall, AmiiBoss is user friendly. After getting initially established (the complicated part), AmiiBoss becomes straight forward scan/load, save, write. AmiiBoss saves me from buying a lot of action figures that I’d have to find a place to store, and allows customization when I purchase my own NTag215 cards/chips/stickers. I am able to find and print images i lake that represent the card data. In the future, I’d like to see and update that includes custom organization options. One of the downfalls to AmiiBoss is the entire collection of tag information is in one big file. This means over time you have to scroll a great deal more to find specific files as your inventory grows. The ability to creat individual files with in the collections would improve use of the overall app. Aside from that, I do not think adding too many changes would improve the overall experience. I would and have recommended AmiiBoss to friends.

used to be my go to free app for writing nfc’s. it was really good at the start but they changed it unfortunately.

every amiibo you write forces a cooldown starting from 15 seconds, adding 10 seconds for each write. you could be waiting up to 2 minutes PER write and more if you’re writing a lot of amiibos at once.

I’ve been using this app for a few years now and it’s been a great tool to enable access to all the amiibo functions. Being able to get older amiibo that are not available or are unreasonably priced has really enhanced our game play. Trust me, the price for AmiiBoss is recouped after marketing just one amiibo nfc chip. You won’t regret it!

It does what it claims to do. It is really easy to use, as it takes you step by step simply.

Contacted support at 1am my time and they got back to me within minutes. Logged back into my account no problem

It’s a software for people who don’t want to pay an absurd amount of money for amiibos so why the heck do you only get !5! Writes I just want to get amiibo gear in splatoon and they expect me to pay 20 dollars to use nfc tags I already bought down right disgraceful worse than Nintendo switch online. and whenever there is a critical review some bot replies something along the lines of “contact customer support. We can help you” instead of explaining why their business practices are so dumb.
If you want money here is an idea. CUSTOMER DONATIONS. Not some stupid subscription

Everything worked as it should, have used it many times! Only thing I would suggest to make AmiiBoss better is to add family sharing support. Would love to allow my wife to use premium without buying another subscription or using my phone

This includes the previous version as well. Very user friendly, consistent, have not once had an issue, contacting customer service is both prompt and completely satisfactory resolution. Easily worth double the asking price for Premium. Would get again without question!
