Word Roll Reviews

WordRoll was working fine until I won 1000 coins for 1st place finish in Ticket Mania. Now WordRoll closes after 30 seconds give or take a few. I also noticed a pattern; right before Ticket Mania starts none of the games that were already started (sometimes almost done)the opponents never finish the game. They’re either sore losers or like some of the other reviewers stated-Bots! I made a few purchases, completed challenges and watched an umpteenth amount of ads is the reason I have 18,500 coins. Word games have been my favorite since childhood. I have studied and taken notes and love to see words played that are new to me. The quests/goals are reasonable and achievable. The bright colors and sounds add a nice touch that will keep you playing for hours if WordRoll wasn’t so janky now.

Too many non words are used and are given credit. Its like somebfolks justbputnketters in regardjess. I enjoyed the first few rounds but in all honesty if its a word game they shoukd be recognizable words esrlier i gabr it more stRs however when you lose a rounf because you use word that truly exist amd the opponent uses just inane jumble of letters to make pseudo words it becomes less fun and worse like a bad job you cant wait to leave. I just deleted it. The letters that are dropped are almost impossible to utilize for English words It was just trying on ones patience. So if you don’t mine inane and or foreign words good luck. As for me i found it a bit more than crazy

I have really enjoying this game and have been looking forward to using this for a VERY long time. Unfortunately, as of this afternoon, an advertising banner has appeared across the top of the screen. This is preventing me from seeing the scores of games in progress and the “back” arrow is blocked by the ad and is unusable. I typically work several games at a time and was totally unable to go back to a previous screen. The only thing I could do was to finish my word so I then had an option to return to the home page. I regret that unless this banner disappears quickly, I’ll be finishing my current games asap and will delete WordRoll . Ugh! So sorry this useless banner has ruined a good experience.

I used to love this game! It would be my second game behind Wordle that I would do EVERY DAY. I had a streak of 350 + days and just randomly it said I had missed a day so cough up 1000 points or your streak will be gone. I did pay up but contacted Word Roll to tell them that not only was that wrong my streak now was in the 180s! Haven’t heard from them yet but it was only yesterday. Thing is today it keeps quitting on me so I can’t complete the game to continue my streak. If I have to delete it and lose my streak I’m not putting it back on my phone. I don’t need this aggravation.

I love this game and got excited until I realized there was no option to play it alone. I did not like games where I have to play with other people. Is there any way to play this game without having to play with others? It really should be an option for people like me. If I did have that option I would give this game five stars for sure. Because of this, I had to delete it, which really upsets me because I’ve been looking a long time for a game just like this. Please give us the option to play it alone! Thank you.

Most of the opponents I’m playing are computer generated. The pictures alone prove that. If I load a picture it looks ridiculous but theirs look perfect. Also they can make a word for high points that it wouldn’t let me make. That’s confusing in itself. It keeps freezing when myself and the opponent play the last block and will not finish our games. I also believe that 350 coins for a hint or swap is way to much. I don’t believe the bot gamers should be able to earn tickets for the Ticket Mania. Seems unfair. I love the game and the unique words but it really needs more real people and a way for people to upload pictures without them looking ridiculous.

I enjoy this game. However, it is just a crash grab for you to buy coins. You don't need the coins to play but if you want to win, you will need coins. That being said, it leads me to the ticket game. The most you can win is 1750 coins. Yet, you suggest using 1000 coins to gain 3 extra coins in your endeavor. This is ridiculous and only cements my point about it being a cash grab. This game could be so much more fun if the incentive to play it was higher. Getting 50 coins here and daily coins does not help in the overall. You will need to buy coins if you want to win.

How about making the game more lucrative? As soon as I get to a point where I need to purchase coins I simply stop playing the game.

If the goal is to have people play your game, then make it more lucrative. There are plenty of word games out here that are just as fun and give you a bit more for your efforts.

Several different ways to play. you can play opponents, though it does seem mostly computer generated. Some real people. A daily bingo that gives you coins. Another daily game that requires 100 coins to continue but in end gives you 50 coins back. Not that it matters much as they give you plenty of coins (hope they don’t change this). Then there’s my favorite-> ticket mania… it is open play for several hours up to 2 days, during this time you try to be in the top 5 to earn extra coins, this takes place while playing regular opponent games only need to tap to add. It breaks for 4 to 6 hours then starts a new cycle. The only down fall is when it picks computer generated opponent because that’s just not as fun playing if there is a true competition!

Updated Edit: this needs to be fixed. The game gives you a match to play but that player is away. Hence, you get one word in. There doesn’t seem to be a way of getting back to that game! I get notifications that they’re nudging me, but nothing takes me to them. Then I get a notification that their nudging game is over! What?

This is one of the best word games I’ve played. My only beef is the cost of coins. 350 for a swap is high and empties fast. Otherwise, definitely thumbs up as far as incentives and graphics.
Edit: I find that if I start a game and it doesn’t say, “plays fast” and my opponent isn’t responding, I have no way of finding that game again. Can we get a “games in progress” to go back to?

For the most part, the game is fun there are a couple of comments I need to make:… I’m not crazy about the new format. There are things that I used to be able to do that don’t seem to be available anymore… Also, who is developers should be aware that there are game players, who are more interested in changing the chat room situation to more private chat rooms in other areas… Very suspicious… I think these guys I’m sure their guys are on more than one site with more than one name. Some responses are almost exactly the same you should be aware of this I think it’s a way to gain confidence in naïve and gullible players with potentially serious consequences

I love playing the game as I enjoy most puzzle games. The only thing that bothers me is that the ads show up during the game when it’s your turn. That causes you to have to sit and wait until the ad gives you the option to close it out and the game moves much slower. I don’t mind the ads because it does introduce me to other games, however, I’d like it if the ads would show up at a different time, say like at the end of the game or at the beginning of a game or maybe once during the game, but not during your or your opponents turn. If you could fix that, I’m sure I’d have no complaints. I really love the game!

It’s a really fun and challenging game. Especially to play with friends. I think the coin allotments should be higher and not cost so much to swap after 2. The most annoying part is, in swapping tiles you often WASTE a lot of coins because they continue to give you the same letters that you are trying to swap and at 350 coins to swap it adds up and is very frustrating. It’s literally wasting money.

I really love this game. Many ways to play but there is one game I’m a little confused about, WOTD. I know you need to play the highlighted letters but once you skip one is that game over? I don’t see any highlighted words after that. I like to swap whenever I can to see if I can make a better word than what I have already or are still trying to fill in the straight, so to speak. If during that play another highlighted letter comes up and I don’t use it that seems to be it.???

Didn’t think I would like it but tried it cause this one sister of mine - we should have been twins but we are two years apart - but she told me I would love it and I did. We finish each other’s sentences. We know when the other one is sick and we usually know what the other person is thinking. We have dreamt the same dreams. Anyway we love your game!!! From the not twins!

I’m really enjoying this game. My only request would be to not have ads pop up on the finishing round. I play my word and then the ad plays and I can’t see my opponent’s word. On every round except the last, I can scroll over and see what they played. On the final word, however, when you are done with the ad, it only shows you whether you won or lost. When I lose, I would like to know the word that did me in. 😉. No complaints other than that. Thanks for your time.

I really enjoy your game Word Roll, but the I noticed that when I purchase more coins whatever you call them.. when I swap letters, I get two same , sometimes I get 2of one letter and I’ll get 2 of another in the same swap.. it is so obvious you want me to spend more… I am not going too, I will delete the whole game 1st.. I don’t mind spending a little on the game.. but I won’t be forced to spend more..

Love this game! Thank you. Now, two questions: It’s not a problem but I’m not understanding why I am always the first player. Oftentimes I see the opponent use up to three of the words I enter first. The next question is this: How come the second person to play has the opportunity to use the letter “Z” as often as three times. I appreciate being able to inquire about my curiosities & to express my enjoyment of the competition. Again, thank you.

I love this game, it gives you great incentives and rewards. I would have given it top review however on my I phone the game started to crash and would not let me play. It would open for about a minute or two then shuts down. I reported the problem and they replied that they needed specifics. I have since provided the information but have gotten no response. I had also purchased the no add for a year and I have 23k in coins. I would like to be able to access the game from my iPhone again! Hopefully they care enough to resolve this problem.

I like how this game is set up and how it’s played. I recently started playing it and don’t know a lot of words, but I’m sure I’ll learn the more I play. I refuse to pay money for extra letter exchanges and I know many times my opponents have done that because they have different letters than I started out with. I do use my swaps freely! I hated all the ads, and finally bit the bullet to pay for ad removal and that has been awesome, because it seemed like the ads were running more than I was playing the game, which was very frustrating!

I love this game, but since the evening of Oct. 5th, yesterday WordRoll opens and then goes away, actually blacks out. This happens every time. Ive come a long way with Word Roll, 80% wins/20% losses but can’t get into the game any longer. Please help, I’m frustrated, I don’t want to loose my standing by deleting WordRoll and reinstalling, but I will if I have too!
