Some cute themes and icons, but the real star here is the customizable widgets. No more despairing at the lack of cute weather widgets from other apps - I’ll gladly watch ads to build my own forecast with plenty of fonts, cute icons, and whatever background I want! The main downside is that the “transparent” background is noticeably lower resolution than my wallpaper; I can compensate for it but it’s inconvenient. If that were fixed and if there was a matching icon editor this would be the only app I need. Also, I really appreciate that it doesn’t dangle the premium content at you constantly, but it would also be nice to have some sort of preview area or list to know exactly what I’d get out of a subscription.

Edit: docking the score a little because I don’t know the max number of layers I can add to a widget; nor do I know if paying up would increase that limit. It seems like there’s some limit, but ThemesWidgetsIcons has pretty poor documentation (the FAQ has lorem ipsum!).

Don’t get ThemesWidgetsIcons. It doesn’t work. First of all it is free if you’re willing to watch adds every time you want something. Personally i have a lot of apps and when i tried to watch the adds to get the stuff it kept glitching. It took an hour to get it to finally work somewhat decently, it told me i needed to install yet another app to get the “icons” on my phone. It also told me i had to go to settings and accept that I’m installing ThemesWidgetsIcons or whatever. After i did that i clicked ok and it went back to the home page of ThemesWidgetsIcons . So i thought i did everything correctly so I got out of ThemesWidgetsIcons hoping to see my new icons on my phone but when i looked, it looked like it did before. So i went back into ThemesWidgetsIcons to see if I had done any thing wrong. So i clicked the one that i wanted again and it just took me back to the part where they told me to install the other app so I did it all over again, closed ThemesWidgetsIcons , and nothing. No new icons. I would’ve given this 0 stars but that’s not an option so i give it a 1.

I actually like ThemesWidgetsIcons compared to other phone customization apps because even if you don’t but the upgraded version you can still get the icons and the widgets with the background. So overall 5 star cause it’s the best I’ve seen so far.

I personally love ThemesWidgetsIcons and it’s variety of themes, although there are some down sides. 1. there’s so many ads. i get an ad every 5 seconds and it’s very annoying! also if you want to unlock a theme for apps you have to watch an ad for each individual icon if you don’t want to pay for it. 2. updating widgets. i constantly find my widgets having different information than how it is edited in ThemesWidgetsIcons . for example i had a twitter widget and in ThemesWidgetsIcons it was fine but on my home screen, the bio literally said “bio”. and this is happening with some other widgets where my edits aren’t showing up on the widget.

ThemesWidgetsIcons has good themes don’t get me wrong. But something I don’t like about it is that you have to pay to unlock all of the icons at once. If you don’t pay, you would have to watch ads to unlock all of the icons which takes a while. I wish that they would’ve made it free since that’s what all other theme apps do. Then when you finish watching all of those ads it makes you download something on your iPhone. But when you go to the thing you need to install in the settings it has you get a VPN or something. But when you back out of the VPN option, the install thing goes away which means you wasted all of that time for nothing.

ThemesWidgetsIcons, while promising, isn’t anything special. All it really is is a hub for icons, which follow the run-of-the-mill Shortcuts method. Since that is the case, you can replicate everything ThemesWidgetsIcons does using the Shortcuts app, making their decision to charge you 30 bucks a year for no ads completely ridiculous. Even more boggling than that is the fact you have to watch ads for every single icon you want, not one ad for multiple icons. Nonetheless, the graphics are great, and the fact they have high-res Apple wallpapers as well as other nice themes is a plus. 3 stars flat, minus 1 for the premium plan.

Sure it's fine but it doesn't change the REAL icon it just makes another page but I know you guys can't, because you don't own ThemesWidgetsIcons . I just wish that's how it would work. But I really just use it for the screen savers, because if your phone is iOS 14.0 or higher, you could use ThemesWidgetsIcons shortcuts. But I mean it ok, like it doesn't do anything to your phone, I just wish it could do more. Plus, on the old app icons page, not all of ThemesWidgetsIcons pictures are correct I think if you want to change app icons, it's better to do it yourself.

So I came across ThemesWidgetsIcons and figured I’d give it a try. The only thing that is good is the wallpapers. The add was very misleading. When I tried to customize my home screen with the new icons, all it did was duplicate my icons rather than changing the look. Not only that if you don’t want to pay the $30 for the year then you have to watch ads for each individual icon you want. Having done that and the outcome I had it was a complete waist of time and I would have been extremely upset if I had paid for it. App needs work…..I only gave it a 2 star because of the wallpapers.

ThemesWidgetsIcons was very misleading. First it told me but everything was free and I wouldn’t have to pay for anything then insisted I watch about 14 ads just to get 14 applications and to be honest it’s not free. It was never free because you had to pay for premium just for it not to work I have to watch these two minute long it’s just for it not to work I keep trying to download it and it will not work. It will not let me get the applications I want so I would obviously deleted ThemesWidgetsIcons and went back to Color Widgets because they were always upfront but would definitely recommend deleting ThemesWidgetsIcons and never getting it.

The guy on tiktok said this was 100% free no ads nothing so I downloaded it when I first pressed on it there was a ad for 14 mins and it was pitch black nothing to get out of the ad I have to turn of my phone then when I finally got in I pressed on a “free” one and it said buy so I watched a ad instead after the ad I have to but all the icons and obviously I did not want to do that and it said my only other option is to watch a 2 min ad for 100 icons I said no and delete it immediately go find other apps this is the worst app In the world and if I could rate it a 0 I would!

I have downloaded and tried ThemesWidgetsIcons but when I go in nothing loads. It just had the loading sign. Let me know if it gets fixed, thanks.

Edit: I reinstalled it and it worked. one bad thing is that i thought it replaced the actual look of ThemesWidgetsIcons but instead it just made a bookmark and it would bring you to ThemesWidgetsIcons . another is that you have to watch so many ads or buy it. overall a 3 star

False advertisement. I clicked on an adversement for ThemesWidgetsIcons stating it was free. FALSE, Its not free at all. You cannt even try it. It should at least have a few free themes to try with an option to buy if you want more themes. Another thing i don’t like is that it’s subscription based. 4.99 a week???? Thats more than $20 a month plus taxes. More than what i pay for prime, dropbox, netflix, microsoft 360, or other more useful services. EXPENSIVE!!! Why pay every week? Should be a 1 time low-cost purchase with free lifetime updates.

So I’m doing the free with ads thing and I get thru majority of the ads until like the last 10 ish it’s the one by bossgfx_ with the purge mask and I click to watch the next add and it won’t load I wanted for 8 ish mins to get it to load finally I just exit ThemesWidgetsIcons clear it off my screen and reopen the to try and fix it and it restarted the whole process so I gave up and came here to write this hope this helps any of y’all ☺️

So I have really good internet and I was trying to get the icons BUT it keep loading and loading and loading because like I don’t want to pay money even a little bit so I wanted to watch a adds to unlock it and like I said I have great internet and I tried everything but nope didn’t let me watch the add 🤬🤬🤬🤬what the $&@/“ 😡there is nothing good on ThemesWidgetsIcons the widgets didn’t even work like what the $&@“ 🤬I would’ve gave ThemesWidgetsIcons a zero stars but I wasn’t able to do that!

I’ve been using ThemesWidgetsIcons since November, and I usually don’t keep apps like this for long, that shows how good this is. If you want to use it for free you do have to watch a lot of ads so I pay so, but probably the best app to customize your Home Screen yet.

ThemesWidgetsIcons is good, if you want to spend 1 hour of your time watching ads for a new setup. Any setup you want to get you have to watch ads for. Let’s say you wanted a new Netflix app and that was it, that is 30 seconds for 1 new app. Now if you wanted to do your whole phone with around 75 apps, have fun wasting the next 22:30 seconds of your life to not even get every app. Very bad app. Maybe if they had a “free” section with very limited spots but no ads, it would be better.

ThemesWidgetsIcons is awesome! The widget are awesome! And if you take a screen shot and set an 'transparent widget' it looks likes its not a widget. The apps icon are cool although i dont use them. But to unlock you have to watch ads for everyicon (witch is fine) or you can pay!

I purchased the Jinx theme for $30 and tried to install it on my phone to only get a “an unknown error has occurred” message. I’ve restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled ThemesWidgetsIcons , changed WiFi networks, and everything else I can think of. I have a completely normal iPhone 12 Pro.
I cant find any answers in their instructions and I can’t find any way to contact them except (hopefully) here. If any team members see this, please reach out to me.

All the reviews mention tons of ads and that’s true but it’s still usable 100% free. My only complaint is that for some reason my widgets will only display temperature in celsius no matter what I do and I need them to display in fahrenheit. They are set to show as fahrenheit but appear in celsius regardless :(

So ThemesWidgetsIcons is nice and good but like so many ads every 5 second there is a app here is a recommendation try making ThemesWidgetsIcons not give a lot of ads pls but everything else is good that’s it pls change the ad situation

Hi Vega!
ThemesWidgetsIcons is super glitchy and often crashes. When I try to customize color, it crashes, when I try to put a widget on my Home Screen , it doesn’t load. This all is on iPad. Also, I think you should be able to make multiple widgets before you have to pay, because I have a bunch from Widgetsmith and they don’t have a paywall.

Vega is an amazing application. It is fun to add Widgets to your home screen.
