I love the way this player looks. It’s simple, it brings in the episode art for podcasts that have new graphics for each show, and it just looks good. My favorite podcast app!

Responsive dev team and clean layout with lots of features I was surprised how well PodcastGuru works being relatively new to App store. Really would like playlists based on podcasts vs? Episodes . really liking the car play option as well and the visual view by cover art? Export opml would be great as well as search within podcast feed and really enjoy being able to search episodes and not just podcasts. I've downloaded most of the podcast apps in PodcastGuru store and this one has the potential to be in the top tier! Give it a try ..

So far, this is the only third-party podcast app that I have found that includes a feature that has prior to this point been exclusive to the Apple podcast player. The only downsides I found so far is that it relies on a Google login to sync and does not yet sync with iCloud, and the fact that it seems to not do a very good job of filtering out duplicate podcast listings.

Adam Curry sent me here, and PodcastGuru is podcasting 2.0. It has all the podcasts and includes transcripts, funding, chapters, and more.

I’m disappointed to learn after purchasing VIP that I can’t use the benefits without a Gmail account. I attempted to contact the podcast player about this, and no contact information is required. There is no confirmation that they received the message concerning this on their form page.

This is player is great! Lightweight, and finds all the podcasts I am into!

Very slick podcast app with a built-in review system and reliable downloads (unlike another popular podcasting app). 4 stars because of no way to limit the number of episodes to keep for a podcast - a handy feature for hourly news podcasts which i would generally set to just 1. Keep up the good work!

Every time I use your app it sends my ip address, unique device identifier and location to Google to target, track and harvest my data.

Please consider using a provider that isn’t currently in litigation for more violations of privacy laws than any other US company and also subsidizes the cost of their analytics services by collecting and selling your users data.

I suggest an open source solution like Plausible or Open Web Analytics. I would like to support your app monetarily, but I can’t in good conscience give money to a developer making harmful technology choices that compromise user privacy to save costs.

I may be missing something here, but I downloaded PodcastGuru because its listing in Google Search, and the comments of at least one reviewer, said it was ad-free. The first thing I heard when I started to listen was an ad for a podcast service of some kind. The player doesn’t allow me to skip forward - only backward - so I can’t avoid the ads. There was another ad halfway through the podcast.

Maybe I overlooked a setting somewhere or another.

I’ve reverted to Apple’s Podcasts. If there are ads, I can skip them.

this app is simply slick. The UI is really nice. Love the granularity of the audio controls. Some podcasts *cough* Sam Harris *cough*are a little slow but these audio controls are so fine tuned that you can get it just to the right speed.

I’d welcome some swipe gestures for deleting and adding to playlists or Play Next.

I'm always on the lookout for the perfect player & I finally found it in this app. It's beautiful, easy to use, and has great features. I immediately subscribed for VIP. I highly recommend giving it a go to fully appreciate what it has to offer.

The podcasts have no fewer ads than with any other player. I wondered how it could be possible and surprise, it isn't.

Chapter Art syncs in CarPlay! Yay!

After Stitcher was discontinued I’ve been looking for a good alternative. PodcastGuru is is great. Super easy to use. Very straight forward and great functionality. Boots up quickly without any issues.

The only downside is that the search engine isn’t the best. As far as I can tell you can only search for podcast titles not episodes or descriptions. I’ve discovered plenty of great podcast by searching for a book title, movie, or any subject and seeing who made an episode on it. So I still have to use apple’s terrible podcast app just for the search engine.

I also wish there was a few more options for organizing podcast. On stitcher I could group my favorite podcasts together then manually organize them. On here you can still manually organize podcasts but they’re all together in one big group.

Other than that, great app. Still deserves 5 stars!

I migrated here after my beloved stitcher died (RIP) and have really enjoyed this service! Catching pods on here I had to rely on Apple for before, which is super nice. Couldn’t find such nice organizational options as Stitcher had at first, but the personal tagging system does the job really well!

After using PodcastGuru for a few weeks, then the Dev updating it recently to fix all the bugs. I can say it's the best Podcast 2.0 app out there. Chapters, All the artworks (live during podcasts) Transcripts, Boosts, Carplay, custom playlist.

Just download it! I love podcasts and like to try out a handful of apps due to different features, UI, etc. Podcast Guru is the one I come to the most. It’s very fast and smooth, and seems to update the quickest of all podcast apps. The UI is easy to navigate and overall, it just works. PodcastGuru satisfies the needs of the casual podcast listener as well as the power user. Great work to the small team!

This is a functional podcasting 2.0 app unlike other apps that crash often. *Knocking on wood*
Their discovery function could be less annoying.

In the Morning. I wanted to try out a podcasting 2.0 app and found podcast guru since I’ve been using it the features have only grown during that time. Chapters, transcripts, rotating Art and many more. If your favorite podcast takes advantage of these features you should be using podcast guru.
I’m also a fan of the live prompts. So I can listen as the podcast is being recorded. 5 stars.

Best podcast 2.0 I’ve for for iPhone. Completely replaces the native app and does all the cool things you want it to do with the added benefit of grabbing almost all the feeds.

I searched for a long time for a replacement for the now defunct stitcher app. This by far has been the best one for me. Love the interface and ease of use.
