We’ve been using Wondergrade in the carpool line before school and at bedtime for a couple weeks now and there’s been a marked improvement with my five year old. This morning when he was upset he asked for Wondergrade and was able to navigate to the tools for what he was feeling (mad), expressed to me that he wasn’t ready to talk about it, and did a few of the “mad” exercises to calm down. Once he had calmed down he told me why he was upset (he wanted to walk the dog but we didn’t have time before school) and we talked about it.
The only “critique” comes from my son directly. He wishes Wondergrade had more feelings like “hungry” and “tired” because he struggles with expressing those and doesn’t think they fit under the existing tools (“mama I’m not mad, I’m hungry but it looks like mad”).
My girls love this ap. The breathing, calm down and mindset options are their favorite. They sneak my phone to try and use the ap now! Every night at bed time they ask for me to play something from this app! Definitely recommend!

I’ve been lucky that my son has been late to the high feelings but they have arrived and come as a shock to us- as much as we tried to prepare ourselves for this period. I had dabbled with Wondergrade a couple times but finally had a true meltdown moment where I could put it to the rest and it DID NOT FAIL. This is such a useful tool and there’s so much helpful information for us as parents that’s concise, tangible and non pretentious. I really appreciate that it acknowledges parenting is hard and we are all just doing our best.
My kids love this app. They breathe and move along to the videos, and I see an immediate effect on their regulation. At bedtime, we do the meditation audio activities and, in the morning, we’ve been working on affirmations. These activities meet my kids right where the are because they are age-appropriate for their interests and skills. I’m beyond thankful to have these tools right at my fingertips.
My daughter enjoys Wondergrade so much. She was upset today and sought out Wondergrade to calm down. She likes the breathing exercises. The affirmation cards make her happy. We usually do meditation, gratitude practice, and affirmations together. With Wondergrade, I see how independent she feels being able to do it herself without me. This is a wonderful tool for building emotional intelligence.
My boys (4 and 8) and I have really been enjoying Wondergrade. There’s good variety, and I really like the categories. Favorites are the breath and movement sections, with calm down also enjoyed. I love that it’s good content while also not feeling like more screen time. The boys love the cute characters and calming voice. Highly recommend Wondergrade for anyone with young kids!

I can’t tell you how pleased I am that this app was released. It comes at the perfect time - our whole family is just depleated from the covid year + remote learning. My favorite so far are the breathing exercises and mindful movements. They’re do-able + short, and though we mostly use with our 8 year old son, I can even get my 2 year old a little involved! You can see the detail and love that went into Wondergrade and I’m excited to utilize it more.
Wondergrade has done so much to teach my toddler how to breathe. He loves the little calming games. They are really great if we are out and about and I need a few minutes of distraction that won’t get him wound up. The new parent portion of Wondergrade is great. We just love it, he’s been asking for “blue guy” since he was about 18 months old and does the little exercises out of habit when he’s having a hard time calming himself. Can’t say enough good about it.
