Western Sniper: Wild West FPS Reviews

This game is almost entirely unplayable and gets old very fast. The game lags worse than anything I’ve ever seen. If you can imagine a speed slower than dial up, that’s about this game plays. You get about 5-10 seconds of play, with about 3 minutes of ads that require you having to sit and watch them because otherwise pop ups from the add will pop up and interrupt the ad, meanwhile this freezes the add right where it’s at. This game lags so bad that even the Ads lag. A 30 second ad, takes more than 1 minute to play because it lags so bad, freezes up, gameplay is entirely unresponsive. The game has to be restarted multiple times and all because of the ads that interrupt ads. This game is entirely pointless and is literally the same thing over and over and over. All the levels look the same, yet you can barely play them because of the lag time. Then when you complete a level, you have to sit through all the ads. I’d find something much better to do with your time.

WOW GUYS!!! I get you have to pay bills. But a monster ad after every ten second round is the worst of any game I have ever played. This could have been a great game. I would rather do in app purchases or 5 bucks to remove adds. Don’t you think having in app purchases and pay for no adds is better than this irritating stuff. I guarantee you lose a ton of players everyday over this ad stuff. You are losing me and that’s a shame. Last year I spent over 35k playing a couple games with in app purchases. And I’ve been looking for something new. I am disabled and enjoy good games. So lose a spender like me because you don’t offer a way to rid of this horrible ad content. Who decided to continually throw this at you is not smart. Look at the games that make money.

The game is fun and challenging to play. The problem is the ads. You can’t do anything in the game without watching a 30 second ad first. Each level takes about 15 seconds to play then you have to watch another 30 second ad to claim your rewards from the level. There are 2 buttons at the end of each level, both buttons take you to a 30 second ad. Upgrades are offered about every third level, each requires you to watch a 30 second ad. 70% of the time you spend playing this game you are watching ads. If you are OK with that it’s a good game, if not don’t waste your time.

So there might be a little too many adds and bugs from time to time but the adds for this game are real footage I mean at least they don’t do like “I’ve been playing for 5 hours and can’t complete level 1” or not at least when I typed this they don’t do it note to developer please don’t make annoying ads

Been playing this game a lot, but over the last two weeks there is a minor glitch. After each round of playing, instead of getting more money, they take it away from me! My money was in the billions and one day it just had a negative sign in front of it. So if I claim the reward, it reduces my cash. I can no longer buy upgrades because it says I have -1,000,000,000. Very weird. Would be nice if they fixed it.

It’s a decent game but you’re unable to enjoy it, fully, without there being one ad after another. If you want upgrades, you have to watch an ad. You want to claim 3x the rewards, you have to watch an ad, even after a level and you accept your regular monetary reward, still wind up watching an ad. Takes away the overall enjoyment of the game. I can understand if after every 3-4 rounds or so you have ads but after ever level, that give or take, only last a few seconds? Too much.

Gameplay is smooth and fun, and I really want to play this game. Unfortunately the intense frequency of ads take all of the joy away from the game. I had the game open for maybe 3 minutes and two minutes of that time was spent trying to close ads with buttons so small I inevitably opened WesternSniper Store multiple times. If I would’ve read the reviews more carefully instead of just looking at the 4 star rating, I would have seen the developers’ canned response about ads being necessary for a free game. Clearly they haven’t tried playing their own game. Don’t support these Devs.

This game is simple but entertaining. However, there are too many adverts between scenes and to get enhancements. Even if you try to just “claim” your gold from a fulfilled contract you are often (66%) stiffed with an advert. So you are corralled into pressing the 3x button and watching an advert. Claiming addon boxes which have been earned via achievement also involves adverts. Extra enhancements can also be earned by watching adverts, too.
Only if you use the gold you earned by fulfilling contracts and being forced to watch adverts can you get an enhancement for free.

I got the game not to long ago and I really
am enjoying it but not the ads. I know everything is subscription base and paying for add ons but this game apparently doesn’t have that but you do have to sit through a video after each round. This makes playing the game extremely long and drawn out. I would happily pay a few dollars to remove the ads and just play the game.

Overall a fun game but the ads take the fun and time out it.

I really like the game because I like gun games for some reason and I also love Wild West games I think they’re so fun and there’s not a lot of ads for me when there are ads I tap on the free upgrade thing that says you need to watch a ad and I don’t care about and sometimes it can be challenging on the boss fights and I like it. I LOVE THIS GAME

The game itself is fun.
The ads you have to watch at the end of EVERY round that take longer to watch then it took to beat the level is absurd.
After a certain point (15 levels maybe) it just repeats itself. Add more enemies, add sub quests… I dunno. Money that is earned is pointless as there’s no shop to buy things.
The aim speed, power bonus, and faster reload bonus don’t seem to do anything. It’s a distraction if anything.
Minus the ads it’s entertaining because of the ads it’s tedious.

The game is fun, and a cool concept. But an ad every level is insane. You spend more time watching ads than you do playing the game. I don’t mind watching ad ad for a free upgrade, but an ad every level is nuts. You spend 30 sec doing a level tops. Then watch an 30 sec or longer add before you can do the next level. For me that killed the game - uninstalling. Get rid of the ads every level and i might reinstall

The game is fun and has a great nostalgic feel but there are far too many ads. I understand that some ads are necessary but you only get about five seconds of gameplay for every 30 seconds or more of ads. They need to minimize the ads. Right now they are maximizing the ads far beyond similar games. They have squeezed ads in wherever possible and then added a couple more. Minimize the ads. This could be done while still maintaining a fun entertaining app

Aside from every level being followed up by an ad, it’s a solid game. When you have an opportunity to upgrade (a screen that pops up occasionally) you can only spend in-game winnings on damage, the other two options are ad-reward upgrades. I’d suggest giving the player the choice as to when they want to upgrade, and more variety on which upgrade they can use the in-game currency on.

In the beginning this was a very fun and entertaining. There are way too many Ads! The only way to upgrade things is by watching more ads. Even though I have moved up in ranks it’s the same game over and over and over. The higher levels need to have a new challenges or different things. Even though I have accumulated multiple rifles there’s no detail or description as to if one is better than the other or if they just look different. It’s a great concept but it falls short.

I've been playing the game about a week now. It is rather reptitious but still a pleasant way to kill some free time. All that now out of the way. For every 3-5 minute's of play time you have to suffer through 2-4 minute's of ads. Not sure how much longer I can tolerate it. If there was a way to buy it to get rid of the ads I probably would, but I've not found a way to do it.

This game is fun and could be addicting but you get ads after every event and frankly it takes you to a very dark place as the additional kill games start being fed to you.

Somehow I just don’t like all that being fed into my head with the increasing level
Of shooting and killing. Some may find shooting the little ballon person cute but I think it is desensitizing and uncalled for.

You get in life what you tell your subconscious you really want and an overdose of this is not what I want my mind amplifying.

Before you start discounting me as a bleeding heart, or anti gun guy, you can rest assured I know what am talking about based on my background.

But, if it’s all games to you and you can put up with the ads it is a fun play.

I really liked this game for the first couple of scenarios. It was fun to find and shoot the bad guys. However, then the ads started in. I don’t mind an ad here or there, but this was almost after every attempt to play.

In my opinion this is major overkill and caused me to quickly delete the game. I’m all for watching a few ads in exchange for free game play, but this game was nothing but ads.

Game concept is good, but unplayable with the number of ads they throw at you.

Like everyone else, I enjoy adds. Especially when they are the same 5 adds over and over. Why do they make you play a game that last 10-30 seconds to get back to your 30-45 second add? Then when you do get the next app it’s just the same thing!!! They make you play another short game in order to get back to the repetitive adds!!! Can’t they just make an app that lets you watch the same 5 adds on a constant loop!?

Fun game but very repetitive which makes it boring; unfortunately. Good concept but no longevity. Suggestions for improvement: make an adjustable difficulty that then influences the money reward. Make the pieces of the game upgradable with money earned piece by piece. This game is a ad watcher like most to generate money; however if you could make it longer you would’ve made more money off of me from ads.

So I have a couple ideas for you, should add buildings to western sniper that have the enemy’s and the escape route is a elevator or a room in the building. My other idea is that you are in a western roadblock the escape route is a car then my third idea is you can blow up the vehicles so the bosses don’t get away from you after that add different characters so it adds more to the game and that’s my review hope you enjoyed it.

Western Sniper has great potential. But with only 4 hours of play time I’m at well over level 120. Where’s the challenge? I’ve noticed that some levels are repeats, which is absolutely ridiculous. We do notice ya know. The bosses should be a lot harder to defeat. The aim and shooting of the enemies should be more accurate. The enemies should be able to move and duck behind objects to make them harder to defeat. Again, where is the challenge in this game? Of course the amount of ads are ridiculous but I also understand that that’s how developers make games ‘free to play’. However, there should either be an option to pay to remove ads. Or as an alternative there could be a option to pay for a monthly subscription. But of course with having to ‘Pay to play’ one would expect more frequent updates, more challenging levels and better content overall. For now I’m done playing but I will check it occasionally to see if the game has improved and to change my star rating if improvements are made. Happy developing!

Well, graphics and the game is so nice and I’d love to play it a lot, one thing though. I deleted this game less then a min after downloading the game, the reason is the ADs. My god, you guys really put ads on everything. I literally can’t even play, I’m watching ads more then playing the game it self. Unbelievable, even when I press “no thanks” I still have to watch an ad. That’s crazy, I’ve never seen an app with this much ads in my life. Again, get rid of the ads and I’d definitely keep playing the game, no one will pay for a game that has that much amount of ads, I can’t even decide if the game is nice or not, it’s all just ads. I understand it’s a way to make money, but this game can be very successful if there was less ads, or if you make ads optional like when I press “no thanks” I mean no thanks I don’t want to still watch an ad. Thank you, that’s all of it, get rid of ads and I’ll for sure download the game again.

It’s a great game and very fun to play but I keep literally getting ads after every level. No not because of the “Bonuses” for watching ads but just to continue to another repeat level. I have to watch an ad. There is no Ad wall removal subscription so you’re pretty much stuck with it. Oh, and now when I get an ad. I will lose my audio from time to time after the ad has ended but still can hear the audio for the ads 😭 Please fix this and allow for purchasing Ad Removal. Would make this game much more playable and would easily have 5 stars in my book.

Like many recent games on IOS, the game is Over monetized and has too many ads. Even when u pay to get no ads there are still ads constricted into the game and too many in game purchases. Younger people don’t remember the old school PC games where u paid once and then u were done (no in app purchases) and no ads. Also old games were not pay to play wheee u had to sink lots of additional and even endless with no cap money into the game for it to be any fun—it was pay once and all skill and strategy to succeed. New games are not like that and so uninstalling all of them. More fun to replay classic games on PC and steam.

If you like GardenScape ads then this is the perfect game for you! I’m not one to not play a game simply because it has ads, but this one is a bit over the top. The thing that annoyed me the most (in the 30 minutes I played before deleting) was that sometimes when I would actually choose to watch an ad (to unlock/upgrade an item) there were “no ads available” then immediately after I exit the screen.. BOOM!! ..surprise! There was an ad available.. and guess what? It’s the same gardenscape ad you just watched 2.5 minutes ago. Would rate 0 stars if I could. The game itself is fun but far too many ads

First is just a bit too much ads I tried turning off wifi and turning on airplane mode but it does not work. Next is the headshots, because the enemy’s heads are so big the hit box for it is bigger as well so it’s really easy to get headshots, and when this really comes in OP is when you get headshot bonuses, and it’s really easy to farm cash

WAY too many ads! You literally spend more time watching ads than playing. It's a fun game ruined by greedy developers.

In no way have you tried to minimize the ads for "our" comfort. The amount of ads in this game is only adding comfort to your pockets. Any game you spend more time watching ads than playing isn't worth playing. You put an ad after every level that is 15-30 seconds and the level only takes 15 seconds to complete! After a negligent response like that you're losing another star. Sad and greedy.

I’m over 300 Contract in, maxed out my costume ( hate the Abe Lincoln garb I am now stuck with) have over 3 million in coin, and still have not seen a challenge. Can only upgrade reload speed, aiming speed, Cannot upgrade my weapon, cannot upgrade my outfit, see the same 9 shooting scenes every round. This is boring, it’s a good time waster, but cmon guys a little variation on scenarios.
Here is a thought. Let me trade in the majority of the points I have for a month of no ads. Or maybe if I successfully kill alll targets in less than 60 seconds I get a week of no ads?

Just downloaded. Seemed fun and is fun. But every other segment is an ad. Then there 4 ads for upgrades. I get it a few ads no problem. But this is far too many. Probably will uninstall. Tired of being marketed too after 2 minutes of game play. In fact, you ruin the game or item being advertised. After 20 ads in 15 minutes I never want to see the game again. Last Fortress and Evony I will never download because the killed me with ads.

I’m a big fan of the game, and the gameplay is really fun; I don’t even mind the ads, but maybe that’s just me. My one complaint is that there seems to be absolutely no difficulty to the game - I frequently stay completely out of cover and pick off groups of 8+enemies and they never hit me. I don’t think you could lose a level if you actively tried. I’d like to see the game become more challenging, which would definitely bump up my rating.

It’s good and all but the ads are to frequent. You play a 15-30 second game just to get another ad. It’s fun but needs a few improvements other than the pop ups such as the dynamite. If there is a row of dynamite and u shoot one why don’t they all go off? And if you really want to force us to watch all of the ads you could at least add a button to get rid of it for those who would pay. And the game doesn’t even work on airplane mode. Is that really how desperate you are for the revenue?

it’s almost hilarious how many ads this game has. you get one after every level. the funny part of it, however, is sometimes it’ll say “claim 3x” for your post level rewards by watching an ad. Even if you hit the simple “claim” button (that doesn’t suggest an ad), you get an ad. when you unlock a new prize, you can only get it if you watch an ad. upgrading your weaponry…you guessed it, AD. I never write reviews but jesus this was an overload. on top of all of that, the gameplay is extremely straight forward and i’m not sure you can lose at this game. every level is the same and the enemies have straight stormtrooper accuracy. you almost never get hit.

I love this game. It doesn’t require me to be a Call of Duty Sniper. However, I play multiple times a day and at night when I can’t sleep. But I find myself playing the same scenes over and over. I. Hood use some diversity. Can I put a crew together, can I get a change of weapon, hat, or just something other than the ok corral and a train?

I’m bored and I really like blowing things up. Maybe as a challenge we can blow things up and then see what we won.

Ironically I found this game as an Ad in another game I played and got hooked thru the ad enough to download this. I got through the first two rounds before deleting it. The rounds took maybe 15-20 seconds to complete only to be followed by close to two minutes of an ad before I could get to the next round. I didn’t stick around long enough to figure out if there is an ad free version but that may be the only playable version of WesternSniper.

This is a great game BUT I hate the fact that I can only upgrade my health with the money that I make. I can’t upgrade the other options with money coz I’m supposed to watch an ad? When I play these kind of games, I want to play, make more money, upgrade my stuff and keep on playing. Plz get rid of the ad boxes for those other upgrades. I didn’t mind watching 2 ads to upgrade my stuff but after awhile it gets very frustrating coz you still have to watch ads to upgrade! Hope this can get done soon coz I’d love to install this again.

This game is really fun and I’ve played it almost every day since I got it. But there’s one thing I really don’t like. The Levels! The levels just keep repeating and I know that I might stop playing because it is just the same few levels. So please add more variety of levels and if you have time can you fix the upgrade system because you can’t buy the reload or aim speed and can only get it with ads.

The ads are longer than the gameplay it doesn’t make any sense at all. It’s really fun, id like to be able to play it without getting assaulted by 30 second ads after literally every move made in the game. I deleted it because it’s a selling point and there’s money in shoving ads down peoples throat so it won’t improve. I just wanted to let everyone know the ads are excessive. So either buy it or don’t bother.

Edit: after seeing other reviews I’m not alone and they respond with a half hearted lie to justify it. Don’t bother downloading. If you get the interactive ad of this game - it’s a longer gameplay than the actual game lol

This game has a lot of potential and elements that would make it a lot of fun, but the game is just unplayable. The time it takes to complete a level is about 10 seconds. After every level you are forced to watch an ad that is about 30 seconds. I deleted it after about 7 levels, because I couldn’t stand it. You literally watch ads more than you play the game. There’s a balance, guys, and this isn’t even close. It’s insulting honestly. I understand you want the ad revenue, but at the expense of what? How many long term users do you have? If you offered a paywall to remove the ads or reduced them, you’d make a lot more money. You have something worth making better, but it’ll fall on deaf ears. As is the way of the world now.

Recently downloaded this based on a few reviews mentioning there were hardly no ads in game. However as soon as you complete the first level, the ads are never ending. Each level, as you complete you have the option to watch and ad for more points, or claim the normal points bypassing the ad, as soon as you bypass it, the ad pops up and can’t be closed until the 60 secs are done, I do enjoy this game and would gladly give it 5 stars once the ad issue is resolved, I understand ads are for developers to make money off their products aka the game/app they design, however ads do become a nuisance after a while , cut the ads back, do this and I can ensure you you’ll have several more app downloads.
