I enjoy playing Hearts but could not continue with this version, unfortunately. There is quite a lot of room for improvement in the visual aspects of the game. I’ve played some other Hearts games where the use of color, player emoji, and spacing goes a long way to offer a more pleasurable player experience. For Seniors, these things also help to minimize confusion. For example, simply coloring each card suit differently will avoid accidentally selecting the wrong card. Like green for clubs, blue for diamonds, black for spades and red for hearts would distinguish the card suits from one another. Also, the use of sound could greatly enhance the user experience. These are just a few examples for GUI improvements I hope you might consider. I’ll check back down the road to see if the game is updated with Improved interface.

There is one ad that you cannot get rid of. The x to close it out doesn’t work. This needs to be addressed because I have deleted it twice and same problem.

I’ve been playing for a few months at the hardest difficulty level and still win 75% of the games. The bots’ ai is not very good; even playing at the hardest level it’s like playing against a bunch of none-too-bright kindergartners. The bots won’t play a card to stop a moon shot, try to shoot the moon when it’s obvious they can’t make it, and play the jack of diamonds at stupidly random times. The bots also make questionable card passing decisions, e.g., keeping the queen of spades when it’s the only spade in their hand, and seemingly always passing the deuce of clubs even when it’s to their advantage to keep it.
