I decided to give CBSMinnesota another try BUT I continue to be disappointed. CBSMinnesota is rudimentary at best and totally annoying all the time. Please, you can do better than this! Nine times out of ten, when I get a breaking news headline and want to find out more, I have to search for the story. I would hope to see that story presented up front but no, I have go through the weeds to find it.

My previous review: I am a big fan of WCCO but CBSMinnesota is worthless. It does not meet my expectations for a premium broadcaster. I hate to be so negative and rarely give bad reviews but CBSMinnesota is so bad I have decided to remove it from my iPad and iPhone. You need to hire an actual app developer, not a rookie, to fix this thing.

I am applaud at the amount of continued coverage WCCO has been giving to Dante Wright pertaining to the Kim Potter trial and sentencing. Where is the equality now!!
The sentence has been given. Like it or not.
Why do you continue to show protestor after protestor saying the same thing? Why didn’t they protest when the guy shot the coach several months ago on 169? Silence! Why is there no protests on the beautiful black children that have been shot? Silence! Why didn’t you show the Potter supporters?
Let’s report on some positive news for a change.
WCCO has become a puppet. You have lost this viewer and many more.

I downloaded CBSMinnesota yesterday. It loaded news then, but has never updated. It notifies me of new stories, but they aren’t in CBSMinnesota . Only yesterday’s news is there. I deleted the worthless app.

I can’t be in CBSMinnesota more than 20 seconds before it crashes. I’m going back to the old app....at least then I could actually read the news for more than 20 seconds

Adds, Adds, Adds. And you just watch adds before you can see any news/weather videos.

AND, the adds freeze and restart. Loads of irritation. I had CBSMinnesota for 5 minutes and deleted it.

This new app is horrible. Loads and then disappears before you can read the headlines. Once you tap on it within the site it again disappears before. Let’s go back to the old app!!! At least I could read headlines and news

I like the layout of CBSMinnesota . Everything is right where you need it. CBSMinnesota is too slow, freezes and crashes. Takes too long to be able to close out CBSMinnesota .

I want to like CBSMinnesota , but it freezes up every time and I can barely even get it to close. I also don’t understand why I keep getting directed to safari when I tap on Weather. what’s the point of an app if it’s just going to take me to the website?

You don’t even have weather on a NEWS app? I went to see weather information while on this brand new app and it brings me to a safari website. You’ve gone from a bad app to a worse one. Look at the other local news apps for some ideas.

Impossible to use it looks like my phone freezes and it takes multiple seconds to move from one link to another.
After installing and removing twice, giving up. Every single time I removed CBSMinnesota phone went back to normal. Weird.

July 4 comment: When is this defective abomination going to get fixed? Over a month of negative feedback and no action from the company.

June 12 first review: Can’t use CBSMinnesota if it crashes within seconds of launching...which it does every time. And it’s not just the CBS MN version, this issue affects CBSMinnesota localized for other CBS-operated stations.

I’m looking for important news about my state at a critical time and, while it seems to have no problems sending out constant notifications, CBSMinnesota crashes almost immediately after opening. Such a shame, because it looks like it would be a good app to use if only it could be used. Fix this please.

Please FIX CBSMinnesota. I liked your old app; it was reliable and I could watch the news on it. CBSMinnesota is awful! It takes forever to load, is sized for a phone screen and crashes every time I try to watch live. WCCO is my go-to local news station, but CBSMinnesota’s shortcomings is forcing me to go to the KARE11 for my news. I’m definitely not happy. Fix this nightmare of an app or support the old one, PLEASE.

When I get an alert on my phone with a breaking story or news update, I click on the alert and expect it to open to the story to read more. However, 9/10 times the story is nowhere to be found. Where am I supposed to read more about it? Or should I be watching the live link? Poorly organized and super frustrating to users who want to stay on top of the news. Instead, it just opens to the main page of CBSMinnesota .

It won’t rotate with the screen so it just looks like the iPhone app. I would love to see the screen rotate and then watch full screen.

From the 20 seconds I’ve been able to stay in CBSMinnesota , I love the format, and the ability to quickly navigate to a live stream... but I’ve been trying all morning to even just scroll headlines and it crashes almost immediately.

I can't use CBSMinnesota. I am on an older iPod using iOS 12.4.7 which is as new as I can go. From the start, CBSMinnesota froze and watching the news or weather live cause it to crash
Very frustrating. I usually can check the current weather and forecast so that is something. I originally stayed with the old app, but that is not an option any longer.

I enjoy CBSMinnesota but watch it on my iPad and would much prefer landscape view

Quick loading, easy navigation, great way to watch CBSN Minnesota live stream. I recommend watching between 4:30-7 and again between 9-10am.

The old CBS local app was a joke. This new one is 100% better, with a quick link to LIve CBSN. WCCO is always my trusted news station, but I had taken to using other local stations’ apps on my phone. Good job!

I use my iPad and I HATE apps that are vertical and not horizontal! I will not use any app that I have to change my position for!

Every time I want to watch the local WCCO broadcast, I see the National CBSN! Why?
