July 2021 update: in response to my original review, Quranspeaker developer advised me to remove and re-download Quranspeaker . Despite following this instruction, I’m still unable to customize azan times from the incorrect default azan times. The settings screen appears to allow for customization. All custom times get replaced by incorrect times when one leaves this screen or selects “update.”

Dear developer, I want to like Quranspeaker, please provide detailed instructions if I’m missing something.

Original post: The whole point of an azan clock is to have the call to prayer at the accurate time. Quranspeaker fails at this basic function by not allowing custom time changes for prayers. The default settings for azan are inaccurate and Quranspeaker functionality to customize times does not work. Please fix this. I need to be able to set the correct azan times from Quranspeaker or this whole product is useless.

I was excited to have this. It worked for a day and after that the athan is played at odd timings. Please fix this and the ability to pick calculation and juristic method.

Azan does not play. Every time I turn it on the Quran plays. If I keep it plugged in, it will “speak” on its own (mode) but nothing else. No support and no one responds. Don’t waste your money or time on this!

This device has a lot of merit. But it also has a lot of problems!
It won’t let me change the Azan settings.
It won’t let me change time settings.
It keeps randomly playing Hadith, Quran, and switches to Word by Word.
It constantly changes the reciter I choose.

I’ve done what you’ve suggested for other reviewers. I’ve removed Quranspeaker and reinstalled it.
I’ve turned off the device and turned it back on.

Please fix this. I’m seriously considering just getting a different one.

Theirs no way I could reset Quranspeaker . I tried deleting Quranspeaker and reinstalled it but it brought me back to the same settings I had before please add a reset button on Quranspeaker please.

Some deep problem with the software, all of the sudden it will throw your Azan setting away and won’t let you change the times. The 24 hours disappear and Only few hours range selection for each prayer time, which is completely wrong, like Fajir around midnight.
Not to mention if you let the auto location detection or if you setup your longitudinal and latitude it will give you completely wrong Azan time.
I bought two few days ago and I regret it.
Do not waste your money.

It would be great to upgrade Quranspeaker so it can auto locate azan timings from Islamic finder or other source. Manual updates are not working and toggle on each azan is going back to all on or all off. I ordered two but will return both bc I bought it for the azan and that’s exactly what’s not working.

Gadget itself and packaging is really nice. Not working as advertised but quality is good.

this seems to be a common problem with other users and it’s a shame that the developer won’t solve it. this is a great product but it would be nice to have the athan called at the correct times for my region. i don’t even know who or what the jafari are and the athan to set to their standards unable to be changed. pls fix this immediately.

I’m planning to return my clock since the Azan doesn’t work. The fajr prayer is on 21:20, that’s 9:20 pm. I don’t know what do, I reset the clock and delete Quranspeaker but the Azan is still won’t change. Please could you help me? I really want this to work, but if the Azan doesn’t work than it’s useless.

Overall pretty confusing and I’m someone who is good with technology. My speaker keeps interrupting quran recitation to say “Bluetooth on”. The buttons don’t do what they say they will and I can’t modify athan voice at all. Quranspeaker needs so much fixing

The only problem with Quranspeaker is the adhan style can’t be changed. Please fix it!

So just got this speaker and is nice. Definitely needs a lot of improvement on Quranspeaker .

Also is it possible to add morning and evening thikr? My daughter would love it so much if it’s possible!

Hi ,
Firstly i would like to thank you about the effort you put on this product that help muslims around the world and specially in US.
Overall i would say the product is good but it misses some touches that would transform it to an awesome app.
You should add some features like :
- Change the mozin’s voice.
- Notification before 15 min from azan.
- Also feature to schedule daily quran times will be a huge add.

You should update Quranspeaker also to fix some bugs that make the speaker to starts from its own.

AlsalamuAlaikum,

First of all, I would like to thank you for the effort you are putting to update Quranspeaker .

However, I have some issues with Quranspeaker . First, the on/off button in Quranspeaker doesn’t work! Which means that I can’t turn off/on the quran speaker from Quranspeaker !
Second, can you please add some other athan voices? Like Syria athan, Palestine athan etc..
Third, can you please add a choice to turn off the athan feature? There was an option to do than in the older version of Quranspeaker but not that one.

If you can do that, it would be perfect!

Overall I like Quranspeaker however I would like to be able to change the Azan audio and change the Jaafari as well, another issue is why there is Azan for sunrise? This is not right and I’m not able to turn it off!
And for the brothers and sisters whom have issues with Quranspeaker keeps jumping from reciter to another ending up with word by word, this happens if you use tv remote control near to the speaker, if you try to turn the tv sound up or down it catches it as you changing the reciter ending up to the last one in the reciter list which is word by word so try to point the remote control away of the speaker!

Ma Shaa Allah! I’m so happy with this purchase! my only problem is I can not seem to be able to switch from Shafri to Hanafi and I cannot switch from Jafari to ISNA or Makkah in the Alan settings. I would really appreciate some help with this! Thank you! Jazak Allah Khalid

I was excited to get this for our home. It sounded like a really good device with an app. On Quranspeaker I cannot change Azan setting/calculation method. It’s been on Jafari and can’t change it. It doesn’t let me select another option. I really hope you can fix this problem.

This product is very good but only one thing need to be corrected.
During Fajr Azan it is not pronouncing (Asa latu khairum minan noum) الصلاة خير من النوم
Please correct this one Thanks
