Having used it before and met people for a coffee I agree that you should use your gut instincts and first impressions when swiping - and that's why I disagree with the shallow comment. Of course there's more to a person than looks but you need to get past first base and meet them - and if you're surrounded by likely candidates in your life then you'd not be needing Hookup in the first place. Hookup opens up another way of meeting people - and I personally know people where this has worked. We all make a decision based on looks even when in the flesh. I've never found a problem with changing photos - and I'm liking the 'last viewed' as it gives me confidence that they're current viewers (and will hopefully respond!) and not someone who deleted Hookup but left their profile on

I actually love the concept of Hookup and out of curiosity downloaded it with no real intention on using it. I found it amusing and forgot about it. Then I found myself in a position of “needing” it and remembered Hookup. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with it, customer service is always very friendly. It can feel sometimes like they take a little while but they handle any issues very quickly. I’ve NEVER had anyone ask me for any money I guess I’m lucky lol. I do sometimes see a few 300 mile away people mixed in with who is close to me. It’s so far and few between I think nothing of it. I love that it’s direct and to the point like I am and like the people I’ve met. I also like that unless I mutually like a person I don’t get bombarded with a bunch of pervy messages. I will say t

Tinder is helping to destroy romance as we knew it, encouraging a disposable attitude that shouldn't be applied to our appliances never mind our people. As people feel that there is always room for improvement just one more swipe away, Tinder creates Valhallan prospects. We have ridiculous expectations that we fully expect to be filled but somehow they never quite are. So we keep swiping, like every swipe will drag us closer to the perfect partner. Endlessly swiping, like we are dragging ourselves up a scraggy incline. And we are all bleeding and weeping and isolated and alone and baffled that our hours of swiping hasn't created a nourishing relationship.

Aside from that, Hookup is slick and doesn't have many bugs. Five stars

First off I thought when tinder came out it was going to be a load of ????. But at first it was getting girls that wanted web cam chat (omg boring AKA S L A G) lol

But any way bottom line I found the girl that I fell in love with on tinder. We matched around April time but sorry tinder we used Facebook to set the date up. However it's been over 6 months and we now live together !! Some may not like it but if you want to find some one to talk to or if you just got out a relationship and need the tlc then Hookup for you... I can't thank the creators enough for making me find what I want to be my wife (? she don't know I'm gonna propose so shhhhhhh) X

At first I was sceptical about installing tinder. I’d had a nasty breakup that took my a while to heal from and wasn’t having much luck on my own. My friend eventually convinced me to install it and I couldn’t be happier. Sure there are a couple of time wasters and bots out there but if you use Hookup as intended rather than swiping on everyone you come across you can really get some good results. I met my current boyfriend on tinder and I’ve never been happier. Your forever person is out there somewhere you’ve just gotta take the time and remain hopeful.

Ok so 3 months ago I matched with a very stunning young girl on here, we got chatting instantly and got on like a house on fire. We met a couple of times and at first, as you can imagine, it was slightly awkward and conversation wasn't the most fluid! You'll be glad to know that we did cross this bridge though, and I started to believe I couldn't live without my baby cakes. I'd never felt this way before for anyone, is this love?! I felt so strongly that I decided to propose to her. She said yes and we're soon to get married! Tinder has changed my life, and who knows, it could change yours too.

Tinder has just lost what made it unique and stand apart. Now it's just like all the other overpriced dating apps out there.
It's not big enough or good enough to justify this aggressive new strategy.
By all means add features and charge for them, but don't remove existing ones and suddenly make people pay for them. It's only going to annoy people.
Oh, and don't get me started on charging older people more. I'm not paying £7.99 a month. It's clear you want the older people off Tinder so I'm happy to oblige by deleting Hookup along with my account.

Ok, everybody seems to be stressing out because since the April 2015 update Hookup has 'frozen'. How many apps have we all used that has the odd teething problems after an update? It happens! If this means that the love of your life who is waiting for you on a virtual app has to sit and wait for a couple of days, so what?! It's a free app! Sure I would be a bit miffed if I'd paid good money to have an app that's crashing after an update but I have paid nothing and lost nothing! Keep calm and wait for Bob the Builder to come and fix it ?

You have just killed the malt used social app. Your biggest markets are UK, Brazil & Morocco. I used Hookup to meet fantastic people in all those countries. Do you really think people in Brazil and Morocco are going to pay £11 per month?
Bunch of idiots. Whoever you have hired that came up with this business plan, please make their name public so that I never do business with this primitive minded person ever.
The idea was perfect. The execution was great. You just completely annihilated it in 24 hours. Look at your reviews. Shame on you.

I like the format. The unfortunate part about these dating sites is that a large number of the women are using this as a marketing tool for their Instagram or snapchat accounts. This is by no fault of Hookup , and I'm not sure there is much that can be done about it, but overtime these profiles can be spotted. I have met some great women over Hookup and have hope of finding someone special through it. Also, the additional features are way to expensive.

Need to fix the bugs such as locations and it saying no one in your location.. You should be able to type in your location and search how many miles from that you want.. And also it shows peoples age that Is not true! You should be able to set your age or DOB in your profile instead of going off your fb profile.. Amazing app tho and will get bigger and bigger just need to fix the bugs ASAP!

Not only has it helped me to connect with local women. It has also showed me that saying the right thing is actually very easy. We all have the ability to treat women equally but sometimes we are misguided by looking purely at photos. Treat them as individuals, as if they were your mother. One more thing.. This is a definitely good seeking arrangement app for adult singles. I have been using it for a few weeks, its features and design impressed me a lot. First, it has the very popular swipe function, same as tinder, so you can easily use it to find matches. I think Hookup's great. Think about it - you go into a bar, you see a guy or girl and think, "they look cute!" and you go and have a chat. At that point you know nothing about them, so you can't judge them on anything other than looks. Hookup's no different and for that reason I think it's the best, most natural dating app out there. Get on and see for yourself!
