Great app overall, but subscriptions? Really?

Don’t get me wrong, this app is an amazing app, but when I use it I feel restricted to relax because of the need to buy a subscription to use certain things. this app is not the only app this applies to. Most apps out there really need to specify what items you can use without a subscription and what you have to buy a subscription to use. For example, I was really looking forward to the fidget spinner; being heavily influenced by the fidget spinner era in 2018. I was disappointed to only have 10 spins on the spinner before having to buy a subscription. Also, I was looking forward to using the daily mood tracking, because that was mostly what I was looking for, but that also requires a subscription. However, the thing that upsets me the most is the fact that there is ABSOLUTELY NO HAPTIC FEEDBACK WHATSOEVER. I don’t know if it’s just a problem on my part, but it’s absolutely annoying. I’m honestly thinking of deleting Tappy and getting a different one.

I suggest Tappy if you don’t care for subscriptions and/or just want to tap away your feelings. For those who agree with this review, don’t download; it’s an absolute waste of storage.

Was Great until the Update

i never write reviews, but this used to be my favorite app, so i felt like i needed to say something. it used to just have a plain home screen (the one with the button and the counter) with no scrolling, but now, whenever you tap, it unintentionally moves the screen up and down, and while the tabs underneath the button are useful, it was so much better when you could just press on the settings button to view them. i used this to help with focusing, which i typically have a hard time doing, and having something to do with my hands helped a lot, but now i have to actually look at it to make sure it hasn’t scrolled down too far, which completely defeats the purpose. the other aspects of Tappy are great and relaxing, but the main feature basically just contradicts its own purpose. i feel like if you could decide whether you wanted the original home screen or the new one, it would be so much more enjoyable, but other than this, i love Tappy .

OMG DEVELOPER I LOVE YOU

I have severe anxiety and social anxiety so bad I can’t scream on rollercoasters😅and Tappy helped so much! This is AMAZING! if it caught your eye and you like it so far and are looking at reviews, ITS AWESOME GET IT NOW There ARE some things that are locked, but they aren’t like “get it NOW!” It’s just there if you want it- and Tappy is AWESOME!! There are so many things to fidget and play with, focus timers and breathing exercises! For those of you (me included) that like to vent over text but don’t have many people to talk to, there’s a messages button at the top of the 4th page (I think) that lets you send messages (to no one) but it’s so much better than venting to my notes. You can customize it, light and dark mode, simple but fun games, and just over all so thoughtful and amazing😭 Developer o can’t thank you enough if I could meet you in person I would thank you in all 4 of languages I know😭😭 THANK YOU WE APPRECIATE YOU :) Anyway get Tappy it’s amazing.

ND safe and also great for some NTs!

(ND: neurodivergent, NT: neurotypical, for any people wondering)

As someone on the autism spectrum, this is such a fun and interesting game! The soundtracks are nice, the games are super fun, the fidgets are all super unique, nothing is eye-straining or is chaotically set up, glitches rarely happen, it’s like a haptic heaven, and so many other things! I even played a game with one of my NT friends and she will not stop pickering me about it because she enjoys it so much! What’s even better is that they added a vent chat. The only thing I hope for in the chat is that they let you talk to someone real-time or an AI to talk about your feelings so that instead of just having your messages taken up to the skies like a balloon, you can have a chat with someone or an AI about your feelings. But overall, the game is super fun, and I would definitely recommend to other people! :) 10/10!!!!

Better than most apps of this kind

I was hesitant at first, but its actually quite a cute app. It's exciting going through all the little games and finding which fits best for you. On top of that, it doesn't drain your battery, which is great compared to other games like this. Absolutely beautiful design, its calming and fun, and a perfect fidget if you're like me and can't sit still for more than 5 minutes. Such a cool app.

Note to the developers: In the "Reduce stress" section, it would be great to format information instead of big walls of text, and on top of that, give more suggestions instead of just quotes of benefits for this and that. I would would consider putting in grounding activities and other stress reducers. Considering Tappy is mainly marketed to people with anxiety, I'd love to see various numbers for help/support lines in that section as well. Great app, and I can't wait to see new updates!

Easy and fun!

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD at 33, and I’ve been trying to find apps that can help me focus and channel my energies into something simple, relaxing, and fun when I need it. Most apps are too expensive or focused too much on planning or reading — I have a very active mind, so I needed something that would allow me to clear my mind rather than fill it with too much extra content (so to speak). Tappy fits the bill! It’s affordable, it’s got a great design, and it has quite a few activities that give me just enough variety and novelty to keep me coming back every day. I especially like the “fidget” tools that let me enjoy digital UI elements without any consequences (like the toggle switch) and the mood journal. I feel like whoever designed Tappy either has ADHD or at least deeply understands the kind of person who benefits from the upbeat simplicity of this design. Thank you, this app!

incredibly helpful and lovingly well intentioned

i’m writing this as a teen with autism and adhd along with mental illnesses
i’ve seen some people say that it’s not as good as a fidget toy, which i think is a given, because it is just an app. but i don’t think that affects the quality at all!
-since it’s just on your phone, it’s completely concealable! multiple parts of Tappy don’t even require you to look at it.
-it has a lot of different settings and things to try
-i actually really like it as someone who needs to stim! i can’t always carry a stim toy with me, and when i’m stressed out in a doctors office or elsewhere, i can open it and get some relief
-the game options are actually rlly fun and relaxing! writing this from top 3 snake >:)
-it’s a free app with NO PAY WALLS!! i’ve tried multiple fidget apps and they always lock off better settings, which is completely ok considering stuff being free isn’t always good for the creators, but i love being able to use Tappy fully and honestly find it so kind that it is provided this way. the only in app purchase from what i know is just a way to tip the creator, and it brings a smile to my face. i’ve recommended Tappy to others when they are stressed, which is something i never do.
and to the dev! i never write reviews lol but i really wanted to thank you for this. u are an angel bro i hope you have a great day

This is a good game but now the key you need more

So I downloaded this game and let me tell you that I was hiped and I thought that this was going to be the solution to all my problems, but I was wrong. I was playing this for a few weeks it was helping, but there was a point where I delete Tappy and I instantly regretted it. I had to download it all over again, and all my score is lost. I thought that I would never do it again but I was wrong. I will delete it and then got it back back but it was never worth it. I realize that I needed more than just this to help with my stress. I ended up getting a diary. and that was really helpful for me I was doing better I was less stressed but and I was sad in Tappy was just the best and I’m really happy that I didn’t delete it again, so yeah that’s my story for you. I just want you know I’m not solve all of your problems, so just think about that before download.

Has helped me through panic attacks for years

UPDATE: They added new stuff and it just keeps getting better!!!! The vent feature is such an amazing idea and so therapeutic.💗💗💗

I downloaded Tappy after I developed panic disorder & agoraphobia. I remember using Tappy when I was having a panic attack before my grandpa’s funeral, and the cat Feelscape actually helped me so much. I stopped using it as much since I got a lot better but recently I’ve been struggling again. I redownloaded it & Tappy changed quite a bit & I noticed the option to buy the premium version ON SALE!! I hope they keep it so that you only have to pay $3 for life bc that is a great, affordable price for the many ppl here who don’t want to, or can’t , pay ongoing subscription fees. I think Tappy is amazing & a must have for anyone with panic disorder. It doesn’t get me out of a panic attack but it helps and it’s a good distraction if I’m just generally anxious as well.

Pls read

This is the best app on my phone when I get a panic attack then I go straight to this game and I just start playing one of the arcade games or fidgeting or just having a this app and it’s really calming and there’s also the meditations which are really helpful and if you’re looking up, if you’re kind of on the edge of downloading Tappy, you should definitely download it because there’s they have like games you can play there’s fidget stuff and there’s meditations there’s calming things that gives you daily affirmations and there’s this little creature that you have to tap every day and it’s really nice and it’s really fun and with the games like tap out it’s really fun because you can go into the game score thing and then you can like compete against other people and it’s really fun. I just really like this game is the best game ever please download it is the best best thing that ever happened to me me and my mom both have it. It’s amazing you should get

I never leave reviews, but this app is a savior!!!

Writing in your entry made me feel a lot better. I feel like I have my own online therapist but on my own time and when I’m ready to talk. I love Tappy so much! It has really been helping me with quitting vaping recently and hopefully some more unhealthy habits along the way! I recommend Tappy for anyone trying to find a new resource for their addictions or unhealthy habits. With a ONE time purchase of $2.99, you can unlock EVERY FEATURE!!! It’s rarely ever that easy! Apps asking for monthly purchases and even after you’ve paid once there is still more to unlock you would have to pay more for! This is a true mental health app for stress and anxiety sufferers at the main forefront, not the money. No payments and random offers are popping up constantly after your purchase, interrupting ur experience. I’ve only had Tappy for a couple days now but, seriously I can not recommend Tappy enough. It is a brilliantly designed app and so much fun to be interactive with your this app everyday. It’s an affordable price for an incredible quality of mental health care.

I love this so much :)

Tappy is, by a landslide, the best thing on my phone. It’s entertaining, relaxing, comforting, and enjoyable. I love the venting feature in the fidget section, it’s a really clever addition to Tappy in my opinion, and the breathing exercises are really cool and easy to use, too. I enjoy playing the two player games in the arcade with my friends and family members, and I really like the little this app pet on the front page, and all of the customization options that come with it. However, there is one small problem with the compass feature. Whenever I open it and close it, the vibration that is included with it continues throughout whatever activity you choose to use within Tappy . This is slightly frustrating, and if it would be possible, I please ask if it can be fixed. Besides that, Tappy is absolutely wonderful and I love it so much. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this sort of long review. 😅

Amazing!

I absolutely love Tappy. I struggle a lot with anxiety and depression and those things make life a little harder everyday. I live that Tappy let’s you escape completely into a little safe space. With all the different soundscapes, and fidgets and games. And a happy little face that greets you when you open it up. Tappy is a great reminder to myself for self care and daily affirmations as well as knowing that I can set a timer to a soundscape and just fall asleep with ease. I think anyone would love Tappy but especially neurodivergent people that need a little stim now and then, the haptics really help me feel what’s going on without having to move too much and they make it a really fun experience. Also, every time I lose track of Tappy and then come back I’m always amazed because they have something new and exciting! Tappy is truly one of the best out there for so many reasons! A big thank you to its creators for having created something so amazing!

My favorite app!

Hey, I don’t usually write reviews but I feel like this deserves one. In fact, I’ve only reviewed 3 or so apps in my life.

This is honestly a great app. I’m a huge fidgeter, and tend to look really nervous while I just don’t know what to do. That’s where this comes in. When I have my phone with me, I always just tap. I’m over 30k taps so far, and it’s been a few months. Though, there are surprisingly A LOT of other features in Tappy! I especially like the timed bubble popper, and the timed tapper. Me and my mom like to compete sometimes, I always win! I’m not the fastest though. The new “runner” game in the arcade tab is probably my new favorite game on Tappy. It’s just like Google’s dinosaur game, except with the iconic this app character. Forgot to mention the relax tab! There are a few “feelscapes” which play audio and device vibrations to feel like you’re really there, and just sounds too. I sometimes listen to them, and it’s just a really cool feature to calm down.

Overall, a well-deserved 5 stars.

Really well thought out

I was skeptical at first, but when scrolling through all that Tappy has to offer, I have to say that this is one of the best mental health apps i’ve come across. I have ADHD, anxiety, depression, and frequent mood swings. Tappy has really helped me with these issues. I often have moments of intense anxiety that is debilitating, but using the apps shooting star feelscape always helps me overcome it. I also was impressed by how Tappy gives you so much without a subscription service. But i do think the subscription is also worth checking out as well. I found myself getting the subscription because of the mood tracker, and it has done me well. It helps me identify what i’m feeling, and allows me to rant about things that are bothering me. I’ve been planning on bringing that feature into the therapists office and toss the idea around of using it to help get a bigger picture of my day to day issues. Tappy has given me a bit more hope. Thank you for putting so much thought, effort, and love into it.

Best app I’ve seen in a while

This game is amazing! I used to find myself on my phones Lock Screen tapping the flashlight over and over for the vibration but this has a ton of things that vibrate. I actually think everything does! I love how when you choose a sound it stays playing on the other areas of Tappy . There’s even a place to vent if I remember correctly. This has been really useful and I 10/10 recommended! There’s useful advice and meditation and you don’t have to pay to use the basic things in Tappy ! The only thing I remember costing money is the fidget spinner. I have one recommendation for it though and that’s to add a memory/memory training section of Tappy and it would be absolutely perfect for me and probably tons of other people to! The only thing I had trouble with is that on the relaxation area I had to close out of Tappy because it wouldn’t let me click ok on the pop up that said I need an iPhone 8 or newer ( I do ). Tappy is amazing and it’s the best I’ve used in a very long time!

Pause button

I love Tappy. So much. I haven't even had it for a day, and I'm already in love. I love the different haptics, I love the sounds, I love everything. It's suuuuuper helpful for me cause I stem a lot and this is going to be so nice to use in stressful situations :D!! Seriously, Tappy is awesome and you should totally get it. The only small problem I have is the games. The games are fun, don't get me wrong. It's just sort of annoying not being able to pause the game. I tried to exit out of Tappy , but that didn't even pause it. I like to listen to stories, and it's little annoying when I have to "die" so that I can pick a new story, especially with tap-out. Other then that, it's freaking awesome. And I am by no means an app designer or anything like that, and I understand if you can't do it. It's just a suggestion that I think would be nice to have, cause it is a little anxiety inducing wanting to get a new story going, but having a really good score and not wanting to lose it. Still, Tappy is awesome!!! and I will be using it ALLLLLL THE TIME!!!

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME BYYYEEEEE

How it has changed everything

I recently discovered that my boyfriend has some sensory issues. When he gets stressed out, overstimulated, or even just mad, he has a hard time thinking. I saw Tappy last night in my recommended, I downloaded it, and played it for a bit. I don’t have sensory issues but I do have anxiety and ocd. Tappy was life changing for me because I am a figiter. I have only had it for one day but I have loved it so far. I recommended it to my boyfriend because when he has his moments, he needs to do something, away from everyone else, to recoup. I was on the phone with him when he downloaded it, and at first he thought it would be a stupid game for toddlers. But I tell you one thing, once he started to explore the different activities and features of Tappy , his voice completely changed. He was so excited about all of the features it had to offer. Thinking about it now even makes me tear up.

Long story short, I love Tappy and I would recommend it to anyone with toddlers, sensory disorders, ocd, anxiety, etc. It was life changing.

Please add ability for a widget!!!

Great app! I am a person with an anxiety disorder and finding things to help calm myself and bring myself back to my body is extremely necessary. Found this app and frequently use the feelscapes (rain on umbrella and thunderstorm are my faves) to self-soothe. I wish there was a way to access Tappy or my favorite parts of Tappy quickly through the widget function on home screen. That way you could truly use Tappy like a fidget or sensory object. It’s annoying to have to unlock my phone, open Tappy and find the fidgets that I enjoy the most. Also, I wish there was an option for the breathe function to have audio. It’s a great tool to calm down and feel the “breaths” through the vibration, but I don’t want to have to hold my phone to get the same effect I could if I could hear it. All-in-all, I’m happy with Tappy , though!
