YouListen - Play Everything Reviews

I got YouListen mainly for listening to music while having the screen either off or just have music playing in the background while I do other things and for the most part, it does the job right. I even bought the 3.99$ ad removal because of how often I use YouListen. I do notice a couple things that lowers the overall quality of YouListen . For one, an ad will still occasionally pop up even after you bought the ad removal. In addition, there will be a black box with text saying “Display ad in X seconds” which doesn’t really sit right with me. Also, watching livestreams is impossible at the moment which is kinda a let down considering that I do listen to a lot of 24/7 music livestreams. Additionally, music will sometimes stop playing randomly (particularly when transitioning from one track to another track in a playlist) which is kinda annoying. Overall, it’s an okay app that will get the job done but there are bugs that need to be panned out before I give a truly great rating.

Having to go through multiple apps of these kinds after an old app disappeared, I found this one and it’s by far the best one I have! The Best one I have ever used! Keep up the great work!
The search function is still a little buggy, but any issues with it can usually be fixed by closing out the search and trying again or waiting a 5-10 minutes to search again in the meantime

Again YouListen stopped working and is happening more often. Keeps throwing error - “Unable to play your choice. Undefined is not an object” every time I try to play any song from the playlist or new search… Pls if tech team listening fix these errors!! ……………………………………………………………….. App has nice features, but biggest issue is that when I push YouListen to background it just plays that current video and then pause and don’t automatically move to the next one in the playlist. We all need YouListen to keep continuously playing from the playlist even while in background ! I am on iOS v 14.3 If the development team is listening pls fix this bug and I will change my rating. ***Update*** Dev team listened and they fixed the issue with playing music in background! Improved the rating.

So I’ve been using YouListen for a while now. It had a lot of issues and glitches, including search problems of specific links and video titles, constant error messages (“Ooops.. we are unable to play a title right now”) and weird triggerings of playback whenever my alarm clock would go off. But all those were still not bad enough for me to not use YouListen . The recent ads that just roll on their own every time you launch YouListen are super obnoxious. No way to close or skip, and it is beyond frustrating and I will not use or recommend it in good faith. I understand the need to monetize and grow your business, but there are other ways to do that..

YouListen is great for listening to music in the background. My only wish is to be able to rename my playlists and rearrange the order of songs in the playlists that I created. Then it would be perfect.

Update: Everything I said my previous review above still stands. I just want to add an additional comment about the ads. I understand why YouListen developers needed to put ads in YouListen . I just wish there was a way that they can make the ads silent so that it doesn’t disrupt and interfere with the music that is already playing.

After reading a couple reviews about happy customers, I was skeptical as to how good the experience would be with YouListen ... They seemed too positive.

With only a little time spent on YouListen , I’m already blown away that I haven’t seen 10 full screen ads... AND the experience is super clean and smooth. I’m already in love, I use these types of apps to help sleep at night without the screen on.

YouListen is the best music app ever I used but there is a bug where when you play your music and turn off your phone it will stop playing the music. Can add a feature where you can download a song for free and not use the WiFi or internet to play the music and add a feature that you can edit the playlist so that you can choose a song and move it around so it can play after a song or before it thanks

I’ve been using YouListen for a few weeks and it was all great until it just stopped working. The playlists are there and the search still works but none of the songs play at all. It’s always sorry unable to play your choice no matter what I click. I tried refreshing and even deleting YouListen and downloading again but nothing worked. Other than that, it was perfect. Playing what ever you want on your own playlist, endless looping, no ads, and no need to keep your phone on.

If you’re opposed to paying $3.99 to get rid of ads that otherwise would be incredibly intrusive than YouListen might not be for you. But if you can look past that it’s great. One problem I've consistently noticed With every update is that you can’t view or play every video in a playlist. You scroll down to the bottom but the rest of the videos won’t appear. I don’t know if this is fixable but if it is that would really improve YouListen a lot.

YouListen is probably one of the best music players I’ve found, and I can’t believe there aren’t any more people using it! The only things that annoy me are how the search function recently stopped working for me, and the recommended section completely disappeared. I deleted YouListen and downloaded it again, but these problems are still there. Besides that it’s a perfect app!

It cannot play live music. Videos that are live don’t have a time showing on the bottom right of its thumbnail, I clicked play and it says “unable to fix your choice. “
Fixing this problem and that would able to listen to live videos would make YouListen better than a 5-star review!

App for playback, playlists, etc is fantastic.

However, every time I login, it asks me to sign in, when I try, it says my credentials are wrong, when I try to recover it says my email is invalid, when I try to create a new account it says my email is invalid. Also gives me notifications at times that are in non English characters, which does not help. If they ironed out the issues, it would be an easy 5 star rating for me.

This was my favorite app before one of their updates last month, ever since then YouListen pauses most of the time. In the beginning of all videos you get a pop up Ad, once you get rid of it YouListen will continue to pause after, it’s extremely annoying. I don’t mind paying if I enjoy something and have a use for it. I would like to upgrade so I can get rid of the interruptions but upgrading might still not work like before. Their most recent reviews are all negative. Going to look for something else. Thank you!

YouListen had about every feature you want, loop, shuffle, favorite, change speed, countdown, and without annoying pop-up ads. Very blessed to have YouListen.

What would make it better is if you could loop from A to B like from 1:10 to 1:20 in the video for a specific part you want to listen to or watch

The import playlist button doesn't import any videos but that is the only problem I found. The links work great, it plays in the background seamlessly and has options to loop and change the playback speed. I couldn't be more happy!!

I can’t give this more then a Three early since early on it worked fine but a few months later the Search Feature all but stopped working meaning it basically became useless. Not only that I couldn’t access more then one playlist all the others didn’t work and adding new ones didn’t do anything ether. I’d suggest fixing it.

YouListen is pretty much everything i was looking for, except some songs are just unavailable. Theres some songs i want to listen to that are just locked behind an error, and i have no idea why. If some songs weren’t unplayable I’d give it 5 stars, since its great for listening to music in the background or on carrides. Love YouListen, but wanted to put this issue out there

YouListen works perfectly and looks great. The developers did a great job. I don't mind the requests for donations by the team, but they should really be careful who they sell advertising to. I clicked the link to support them and it took me to a phishing website. Other than that I really appreciate what they built.

i've used YouListen for about 2 months now, its very nice! But i've encountered a problem, randomly the music i choose to play will just not work, a message similar to "evaluating board" or "thumbnail error" i've tried powering off my device, closing and reopening YouListen , even re-downloading it. I really love YouListen, the fact that there are no adds is so helpful! But i can no longer listen to music because of this, please fix it. Thank you.

This is probably the best app I’ve gotten yet, to be honest. It’s very convenient. The only negative thing so far I’ve found is the search system is rather inaccurate and I can at times search the full name of the video I’m looking for and not find it.

Great app. I would like to make a suggestion. Can make an option where you could change the order of the songs that are in a playlist and also a clear all option for the recently played songs?

This is one of the best apps I found to actually listen to music on it doesn’t drain my phone battery as other apps do. It’s completely free. And no ads loving it guys keep it up.

It never able to search anything… just keep searching, keep searching, even whole night searching and never able to find anything… if your home screen is empty, you may download this to fill your home screen… otherwise nothing else.

Nó cứ hiện lỗi mạng hoài dù mình lên youtube hay bất kì app nào khác thì vẫn được :( hôm trước vẫn nghe bình thường nay lên lại thì nó chẳng nghe được nữa. Mình có tải lại rồi nhưng nó vẫn vậy :(

Bản cập nhật lần này bị lỗi rồi ad ơi. Nghe nhạc tắt màn hình bị lỗi. Cứ nghe bài nào gần 1 phút là ứng dụng tự tắt và thoát luôn

Cần cải tiến tốc độ tải, hay bị văng

App cần updante thêm kiểu như mình search bản tin VTV24 nhưng nó ko sắp xếp video mới up lên nó toàn hiện cái lâu rồi nên muốn xem cái mới up lại k tìm dc dev updante tks

Nên có thêm EQ nữa thì hoàn hảo. Mong admin lắng nghe

Mong Dev sẽ update trong tương lai tính năng download ạ.

Every time I open YouListen and try to play a song, it says sorry and says something about my internet being bad even tho I’m very sure my internet is great because it works on other apps like YouTube, google etc, pls fix
