Great game but some ideas

This is one of the best strategy games I’ve ever encountered on TwoSpies Store. I love the simplistic feel it gives while still being a complex game that requires lots of strategy. Though it could use some slight improvements here and there. Since there is no currency in the game (yessss,) it requires an in app purchase to acquire many unique pins. These pins have no use other than cosmetics, which I think is fine for a cheap price. Though, maybe there can be a way for people to get pins through something else and still have no in game currency. Maybe, there could be a tournament system, people would be split up into groups of fifty, and the person who gets the most wins and ends up on top of the fifty person leaderboard by the end of the tournament wins a pin. Or maybe there could still be tournaments, but you would be able to choose the one you participate in, and the prize pin for first place would be displayed so you know which pin you’re competing for. Also maybe there can be more pop up message options like “Much appreciated.” Or “Nice try.” (Maybe there can also be a four person game mode but that would be sort of hard to do without bigger maps.) Sorry for the lengthy review. All in all, this is a great game and I look forward to every update.

BROOOOO

This is a great game. Don’t be deceived by its simple graphics and relatively muted colors. This is not some dusty old board game reincarnated into an app. Two Spies redesigns strategy into beautiful and creative gameplay, which not only keeps players coming back to the game, but also encourages them to develop their own winning tactics. I admit I had my doubts at first. The game was showed to me by a friend, and I immediately disregarded it as not my type. However, after two to three games, I was completely hooked. The mechanics of the game aren’t limited by any pay to win deals, or adds, or wait times. All it comes down to is the intelligence of you, and your opponent. Combine this with an element of risk -never knowing where your opponent is at all times- and locational advantages -the map itself- The game is a strategical masterpiece. And it doesn’t end there. Two Spies’ design adds needed depth that compliments its gameplay. The Cold War feel really envelops the player, making you feel fresh out of a retro espionage film, and the music makes you live for the moments you correctly predict your target. A decisive win, Royal Pixel.

One Of A Kind Game

This game is truly unique. Everything about it is perfect, from the maps, the abilities, even being able to choose a variety of different spy agents with their own bios to read. Recently I noticed the devs added a real multiplayer aspect, with online matchmaking and it made this game so addicting. If I could rate it 6 stars I would. I hope the online matchmaking becomes a permanent part of this game and I also hope that if the devs read this they would take the time to add more game modes. Maybe incorporate a 2v2 with a HUGE map of Western Europe that spans all the way over to Asia and maybe even Africa. I mean if this game takes place during the Cold War era you could arguably say that the whole world was affected by the communist leaders. If the devs read this I really hope you add more to the game. It’s perfect now, but you guys can make this a really popular game that everyone has at least downloaded once onto their personal device. You guys are amazing, and thank you for making such a fun game

Amazing Game!

I only got this game two days ago and I already love it a lot! I love how strategic it is and how many strategies you can use. I love the humor in the “Harmless” mode for the bot. I would love more Easter eggs like that in the game! Two problems though: When you play against the bot, the game sometimes crashed after the bot has taken an action and you have to restart I find this highly annoying, and it’s why I’m holding off that last star. Please fix this! I generally like the bot more than online and it’s how I play most of the time. The only other thing I would want changed is some sort of way to unlock the different pins without using money. Don’t let your awesome designs go to waste just because people don’t want to pay money! (Seriously this game looks so nice) Of course you could keep the “pin of the day and week” stuff for instant-gratification people, but maybe you could implement some sort of tournament to get pins, and maybe some pins could be rarer than others. This’ll add a lot of excitement to the pins, cause right now they don’t seem too important and that makes people less likely to buy them. Otherwise, this game is great!

What a fabulous game!

Honestly having played a lot of strategy games I find a lot of them tend to get old with age however this one always seems a little different. The cards are well balanced with maps constantly changing layout on each play through, leading to different strategies every time. There are enough cards to keep things interesting whilst also not overwhelming you and the layout and interface is clean and easy to use, unlike other strategy games I have tried.

My only complaint is that whilst the maps are random right now there seems to only be Europe as a map and then the links change within that. I would like to see more variety in maps and restrictions (such as the city lockdowns) to keep things a little more interesting for those more familiar with the game but otherwise a solid concept all around :)

Amazing but not at its full potential yet!

So to start this game is amazing I played it 8 hrs straight today and could play it longer but there are some changes I’d like to see for one I’d like a multiplayer were you just push a button and you get matched against a online opponent based on your wins and other stats to determine what level of skill you are.
Also I’d like if you could have more then two players on pass and play maybe like a max of 6-8 but with that brings me to we need like a world map for more then two player with that large a map you might need to balance so stuff but I think it would be very cool to play on that big a map.
Probably no dev will see this but I thought I’d share my opinions with anyone willing to read them thx for taking the time to read this and stay safe.

Great game - but some added features needed

To preface, this is one of the most addictive and fun strategy games I have played (especially for free). Cheers to the developers for bringing such a cool concept to iOS. Nonetheless, this game has so much more potential and I hope you will add some important features that may help make Two Spies even more addictive. Firstly, there should be a statistics feature that records the total stats (wins, losses, rankings, etc.) of each player. Additionally, it would awesome to include different game modes or more unique maps to keep the game from getting redundant. Currently, I keep playing on the same 3 or 4 maps. Even some way for players to earn points or some in-game currency to purchase avatars/in-game phrases would be a great start. Great game!! But keep running with it!

Suggestion

Ok I love this game. I even bought some characters :) Gotta support a great game like this. The only issue, however, is that I feel the game gets boring after a while. What I would love to see to solve this issue, is some sort of campaign or story mode, where you have to win a bunch of games to collect characters and maybe something else. That’s the main idea, but it could incorporate many things. It would be cool to unlock custom things to make your own character, or different colors for the map. It could be cool to be able to unlock different trails between the cities. These are just a few ideas, but the game is amazing!

.

I love this game but I think there is one thing that they need to fix. When a player ends their turn in a city with a power-up, the power-up will not upgrade like it does when it’s unoccupied. For instance, if there are only 2 possible spots for the enemy to be and you see the power-up upgrades from 20 intel to 30 intel, then you know for a fact that the enemy is in the other city. I think this is a flaw and if it isn’t a flaw then why doesn’t it show that the enemy has been outed? If there is only one city that the enemy could possibly be in, then isn’t that the same as being outed? I really don’t like this part of the game and the solution is to just let the power-ups upgrade exactly as they normally do, regardless of whether there is a player in the city.

Great! but...

This game is great with quick strategic gameplay. The online mode is definitely the best mode by far because sometimes I don’t have anyone to play with and I don’t want to play a bot. But the one thing this game lacks is incentives/ accomplishments for online. What I mean by this is that the dev team should consider implementing a trophy like system, where the players move up ranks. I know y’all don’t want to seem like your copying most other games out there that do this but y’all can make it unique to other games as you already have with the game in general. In the end, my point is that winning game after game online eventually becomes monotonous because you feel like your going nowhere. Other than that this game is great!

Fun game, wildly unclear rules

I like this game, but there seem to be things the AI opponent can do that no human player can. Often, the “training bot” seems to have extra phantom moves or simply doesn’t lose when you use “strike” against them, even when their cover is fully blown. These are not issues I encounter when playing against other humans.

Aside from that, I’m shocked to see that TwoSpies has been around for as long as it has, because the tutorial is laughably uninformative and barely covers the base “beginner” rules before shoving you out into the real game that has a totally different set of rules. You’ll have to do a lot of trial and error to figure out those actual rules. And again, you can’t rely on that training bot because it doesn’t follow the rules, either. Good luck!!

Great game with great potential

I think this is a very cleverly designed game and is very strategic. The game can pass time very easily. That being said, I do not think this game is the type of game that I could play for hours on end. The reason is because there really isn’t any rewards for playing. I think if you make the game have a ranked system then it would be great, because now there would be something to grind for and show off to other people. When you’re just playing the same thing over and over it can get boring, but especially when it is a strategy game, people would definitely like to flaunt their skills to other people. It would make me want to play the game for hours on end.

A rare gem

This game is fantastic! The strategy is enjoyable and the graphics are nice. The game is simple enough for a beginner to get the hang of easily and more veteran players to start playing around with risky and clever plans...
My only wishes for this game to make it the absolute best it can be, is to make free pins obtainable for players who don’t want to spend money(like through a challenge based system, once you complete these certain challenges you get this cool pin) and for there to be a load out maker(there will have to be more abilities but then you can choose to swap Go Deep for a different ability or something) so the game has more depth to it!
10/10

Truly deserving of praise and attention

This is my favorite game I’ve ever seen on an App Store.

Why? Simple: Because it is a *game* in the sense chess or checkers is a game, its unique, it’s incredibly thoughtful, and the skill ceiling is massive.

I would describe this game as an “achievement”. I’ve been looking for a game that’s really oriented around “game theory”, that is balanced, simple at the mechanical level, etc.

I really would compare this game to chess, with one difference: it involves prediction, and risk/reward decisions that chess does not, because information is a fundamental part of the mechanics.

I hope the creators feel pride and that they get the positive feedback and praise they deserve.
And if you guys read this: ELO competitive mode!!!

It will take you to the next level and create longevity for your community. Not to mention it deserves that because I could see people becoming incredibly good at this and getting really into it. It’s a truly fair, turn based, 1 v 1 game that is perfectly balanced: exactly what ELO systems are designed for. It is the perfect move for you guys.

Great Game

Ever since I’ve downloaded this game I’ve loved it. It’s exactly the kind of strategy game I love and I appreciate the added multiplayer functions like pass and play. I appreciate the fact that you have no need to spend money unless you want to since it doesn’t affect the gameplay. Two things I would love to have would be a 4 player mode, although I understand that might be difficult to add considering how the game functions, but please keep the random match option for internet multiplayer, since it gives you someone to play with almost all the time. Thanks again for your creativity and dedication.

Great potential

Let me say that this is a great game with much room for improvement. There a couple thing I would want to add personally.
1. More decks: making more ability decks would be amazing like a better technology card that doubles that next intel bonus or a sniper card that allows for farther strike range though both or these can only be used limited times. The 2 card thought were going with playstyle such as the rusher or long game.
2. Adding online vs: adding online would improve the game for better experience and that games take like 10 minutes. You could even do ranked mode where you can play the best of the best or causal which is just anyone.
Overall, great game, can’t wait to see the future of this game

SICK!

Where do I start? This game is so dang good!
Okay, this is the best board game I’ve EVER played, and it’s a shame it isn’t more popular. I love the pin designs, like The Unsuited from Season 3. There are, however, two issues I have with this. 1; I can’t change my name for online mode but I can with my sister on local wifi? And 2; you aren’t able to get pins any other way except the free season pass, paid pass, and the cycling pins in the market, which cost money. Please, add some way to change your name from “Amber Sabre” to “Exocrown” and add a tournament or something. (Like what others said a uh…year back LOL) Otherwise, SICK game!! <3

Fun, but with problems

The premise is simple yet fantastic, there are no ads whatsoever and some moments feel really intense. It’d get five stars if not for two issues:
- There are some game-breaking bugs where a CPU opponent with move three turns when it should have only moved two, or will be located around cities it couldn’t have been able to reach, or won’t be shown as potentially hiding in a city where they could have been hiding. These bugs are rare, but when they appear, they’ll often result in your defeat. It’s infuriating.
- No random online matchmaking and no ability to add friends for easier online connectivity. Online in general is unnecessarily obtuse.

Without these two issues it would be perfect; with them, the game will wear you out in a few days.

This game is a breath of fresh air!

I was doubtful about this game, because of the amount of clickbaiting ads, but I was pleasantly surprised after having played the game. The graphics are smooth and the sounds and music provide so much ambience to the game? The gimmick of never *really* knowing where your opponent is forces you to utilize logic and strategy to try and deduce where your foe is. The power ups and tricks are fair and balanced, and if you don’t play your cards right the game can be over instantly. Absolutely amazing game for me and my friends to play when we’re bored, and would rate 5/5 again! Good job!

AMAZING GAME

I never write reviews but this game is absolutely amazing. It requires a lot of strategy and thinking, but is still somehow fun. It is one of those games that don’t require luck, which I love. Also you can play on the internet with other people, but they still keep it safe. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts is because there is no overall progression with the game, which would have made it more fun and rewarding. Every short game is only for itself and does not add to overall stats, increase levels, etc. Also there is no way to friend people or really communicate with the community which is unfortunate. Other than that, however this game is very interesting and fun to play.
