WhiteNoise had all of its features available for free. It not only does not function well and the noises don’t loop well what so ever anymore, but you’re required to pay a weekly sub to get proper functionality?? Come on….I’ve used WhiteNoise for a long time and I’m having to wait to fall asleep because I have to find another app that meets my needs. Extremely disappointed.

Not sure why this isn’t possible. Incredibly limiting.
Gave feedback, but the thunder sound s very quiet even at max. Immediately covered by any sound over 1/3 volume.
Would be a great app otherwise.

Overall very pleased with WhiteNoise, simple interface Smoothly fades into the noise, and even fades between sounds when you switch between them, though curiously "reset" volume jumps to 100%.

Some requests to improve it would include having the volume control be right alongside the sound selection bar, so adjustments can be made according to the changes in unwanted background noise and changes in music I may be playing alongside it. On the Mac, I would expect all dialogs to be able to be dismissed with the Esc key.

WhiteNoise is amazing at everything it does. From the noise selection to the aesthetic gui. However, there is a very annoying niche issue: if you have multiple apple devices and decide to switch from laptop to phone for sound, instead of pausing the sound, WhiteNoise keeps insisting that the headphones stay focused on the laptop. It’s been an issue to the point where I have to angrily quit WhiteNoise multiple times a week.

I’ve tried over 20 apps and keep coming back to this one—it’s great for the basic sounds I would seek out on other apps + has the customization within the sound. My only complaint is the sound is not loud enough even with my phone at full volume (can still hear birds outside, a car door shut on the street etc)

I cannot live without WhiteNoise. I imagine you think I am exaggerating, but let me tell you: WhiteNoise is worth 10 stars at the very least. It puts my infant daughter to sleep. It puts me to sleep. No one in this family can sleep without it. I can’t even tell you what my willingness to pay is for this thing. I would gladly sign over my paycheck. In addition, the customer service is incredible. I asked a question and Mark answered it immediately. Someone make this man rich if he isn’t already - he deserves it.

Totally customizable which is great because not all speakers sound the same. My neighbor snores like an ogre and the other one blasts russian soap operas so I think WhiteNoise rocks

I try it sounds for 4months it’s best for any Bluetooth help me sleep and wake up energy

So many sounds to combine and with other sounds and also play that sound by itself. LOVE IT! You need to try it!

No ads, no subscription, no crazy features, just a few different tracks and easy one click operation. Absolutely perfect app!

This is an AMAZING app!!!!! It helps me when I'm stressed, scared, and bored. It has helped me when I have meltdowns and it has helped me through my problems!!! It's a fantastic app!!! EVERYONE should get it!!! It's like mediating with your phone! Get it!!! It's awesome and helpful!!!

Very good noise selection no adds and is very good there is no Sussy glitch’s or anything like that just a plain old white noise app with a nice amount of options and ya that’s it

I’ve been looking for a simple, free sound machine app, and imagine my surprise when every single stinkin’ app I tried either wasn’t remotely customizable or was going to cost me between $30 and $60 a year to use. Um, what? But apparently people are willing to pay that. FYI, you can buy an actual sound machine one time for the same price. Save yourself a buttload of money, people, and download WhiteNoise!

Love the noise choices as well as the customizable length of time. Had a white noise app that would crash (and the silence would wake me up!); WhiteNoise does not quit until you want it to.

I am able to sleep much better now. Stayed on throughout the entire night, it didnt drain too much of my battery at all, but it might depend on the device you use.
Would recomend WhiteNoise

This worked to help me sleep in a city setting, in a foreign country, while I was away from my air cleaner. It never failed. I highly recommend it for someone who is used to a constantly running air cleaner noise.

LOVE WhiteNoise! It's helped me relax through some tumultuous times. Just be ready for a bit of energy drain if you run it all night. I love the ability to change up the sounds, and adjust the frequencies. It's always just right for my needs.

Just downloaded but it seems I finally found a simple white noise machine with a timer. No crazy subscription or dark-patterns to get you to buy.

Yes , there are extra sounds you can pay for, I might do it just to support WhiteNoise if we continue like it!

Do wish we could just have a black background rather than the animation, but… I can just minimize WhiteNoise too. :)
