Screen Mirroring for Fire TV Reviews

It works kinda, a year later we still have no audio, every 5 minutes a pop up On the tv shows up and basically says “buy the paid version” for 10 seconds, low resolution and it freezes about 10 minutes in. All this just from using it 5 times I was thinking about buying the paid version now I’m not sure anymore. This is the only app that mirrors my iPhone screen to a fire tv and works yet it’s this bad.
I would’ve stopped using it a while ago but like I said this is the only one I got working
Overall bad

Ok app. Had trouble finding a way to turn on the sound. Kept being interrupted with long adds. Not going to pay for the pro if the free app has this many bugs. The Fire TV partner app isn’t too great either. Was out of sink with the iPhone video and kept being interrupted. It finally froze up and wouldn’t connect at all. Not sure which app was causing the connection problems. iweb tv is a much better app if you are watching something from a web page. Unfortunately I needed this for a zoom connection. Made my zoom connection a poor experience.

First thing when you open ScreenMirroring it demands a five star rating and the only way to not read it is to close ScreenMirroring and open it again at which point it will allow you to set up ScreenMirroring start streaming and every 30 seconds it pause your video or whatever and it says that you upgrade to pro to get rid of it in the first five minutes I did this probably 20 times to me oh did I mention it makes you also download ScreenMirroring on whatever device you’re trying to stream to

I thought I would test out the free version before I invested in the pro version. Even with ads I thought I could get a good sense of how it performs.
Well, I did. And it didn’t. Anytime I tried to mirror my iPad or my iPhone 8plus, it would freeze, get stuck on a previous screen, or just not let me stream. Never did it allow me to go into landscape mode, and was a complete waste of time.

Why they give you a chance at a free version that doesn’t work? God only knows. That’s as dumb as the programmers who coded this piece of junk.

ScreenMirroring works but not consistently. For me every time I try to cast something I’ll get an ad that shows up and when the ad ends the screen freezes on my tv and I have to shut the whole app down and restart the screen share. It’s not worth it only getting to watch a few seconds at a time uninterrupted by a bug or a freeze or something else frustrating like ads every few seconds.

First TV mirror app that actually works with the fire stick. The only issue that I am having is that I can’t use the volume from my tv, instead I have to still have my phone close by to be able to listen to what I am watching

App deserves five stars because it seems to be one of the few apps to find a way of wireless mirroring. Needs improvement, top tips are “screen flip on tv as well, full screen movies on tv as well, better resolution”. I hope those could be achieved. App is on the way. Thank you.

I have tried so many different screen mirroring apps and this is the only on that has ever worked. It is so amusing to watch yourself do something on your phone on the big screen.

So, since this is the first app I’ve ever I’ve ever downloaded from ScreenMirroring Store, I finally had some hoe! I came back and read about tonight update. Good luck, ill be back with 5✨ when i can finally gets them integrated! 🤟🏼

Great idea. However it’s not useable for me. I swapped over my fire stick 4K and iPad to my 5g home network, called the cable company and upgraded my internet speed and still can’t make it work. It’s basically showing one frame for 15 -20 seconds then the current frame for 15-20 seconds. It’s not to the point of Glitchy for me. It’s more like a slide show.

ScreenMirroring works really well the only thing is the sound doesn’t link to the tv which it a bit frustrating. I would recommend it if you have a speaker if not it isn’t worth it.

Linked to my devices ok. Started a network app to cast a particular show to my tv. Network app menus were cast. Chose show to begin watching. Didn’t cast what the network app streamed. Plus there’s a periodic 10 second interruption to go PRO. I watched a sponsor ad at the beginning of the mirroring session, bugger off with the self promotion. That’s the kind of thing that makes me not want to consider the few $$ to go pro.

It technically did mirror my screen, but it was a hassle and barely worked. Every 2 minutes or so the mirroring on the tv will stop to ask if you “enjoy screen mirroring” and suggest to buy the pro version. The mirror quality was very laggy and after 6 minutes it cut out entirely. Audio doesn’t transfer over either. Basically, find another way to screen mirror. ScreenMirroring is garbage.

I just purchased a new Firestick latest version. I also have one that is a year old. Older one gave me no volume on the TV during cast from Ipad nor iPhone. New one doesn’t either.
Volume works on iPad and phone.

I wouldn't say it was the best but when I got it the photo was a little hazy. Not to mention no sound to the TV. Also, an very weird set-up. Other than that I would say its awesome!!! 😁😁

So, Great App Works Everytime Two Issues But Not Important For Me Much. Issue 1: No Volume No Issue for me very much. Issue Two Major Lagging. Please Fix These Small Issues. if U Read This Tysm great app and hope u respond Developers :)

Okay so no complaints but you guys keep my five stars if this didnt cost money cause it said downloading ScreenMirroring because it was already bought before????? Was ScreenMirroring free this is my dads card pleasw answer soon!

After a LONG search and trials with other screen mirroring apps , this was the ONLY great app that worked and connected wright away to our Samsung smart TV .

It was so easy to put together and it was only a couple steps to set your phone up to your tv!! I 10/10 recommend

And by far this one was the best one and actually worked so therefore I am going to be purchasing

Broadcasting thru the integrated record/broadcast button takes 1 to 2 secs to pop up to the tv, I have very fast internet but it does take 2 secs to mirror your screen to my Fire Stick second gen, No sound coming from my sound bar that I got for Xmas. Watching an AD sticks! Everyone HATES watching ads! PLZ IMPROVE IT, I see there’s a lotta hate in ScreenMirroring

You have to watch a ad in order to mirror your device which I found interesting secondly my screen freezes as well as the sound isn’t there there are so many issue that I have had with this I deactivated it after 24 hours don’t waste your space or your phone or laptop for ScreenMirroring

Funny how all the 4 and 5 stars are from ppl talking about the audio not working and those just happen to be the only reviews that ScreenMirroring makers replied back to. It’s almost as if they are posting those reviews with the the built in reply that they are working on it. Things that make you go hmmmm....

When I try to mirror from my phone. I only see the video but didn’t hear any sound on TV but from phone. Please fix the audio too.

Video seems a bit choppy and audio plays only on device while video streams to tv. Sorry, but of no use like this. Saw similar comments with only a canned response from developer. I plan to retain app to see if a change is made. If so, I will update review. If not - trash bin.

ScreenMirroring is horrible. Attempted to use this mirroring app with my iPad and fire stick. Very slow and bad delay...we have the highest “business speed” internet. Also, no sound would come through the TV.

I haven’t tried ScreenMirroring yet, just now downloaded it, many great reviews, & as a developer myself, I’m sure it’d be great! Plus if there’s anything that doesn’t work for me then I always do figure it out out! I really wanted to reply to Bebe......., & the rest that are facing the same issue. Here’s some insight regarding the volume “just playing on their iOS handheld.” I haven’t tried ScreenMirroring out yet, but I might be able to help you without having to try it just yet, I mean that I will check it out a bit later today. The least confusing & easiest way to take care of this volume issue, & you don’t have to be tech savvy to do this. I don’t know a single person without a home theater system, or at least some sort of Bluetooth based speaker, even if you don’t then there’s auxiliary cables & that too with Bluetooth adaptors, or some sort of Bluetooth headset to try this. Let’s get started: Now when you’re using ScreenMirroring, just disconnect your FireStick from your home theatre or Bluetooth-Speaker, Aux-Cable/Adaptor/Aux Wireless Bluetooth Box, then connect your iOS devices via Bluetooth function to your Bluetooth speaker (iOS to Bluetooth Speaker/Aux etc..) Once you’re done with the connection, run this aap all over again & see if the volume comes out of your bluetooth speaker. I mean this is literally the simplest solution, yet I haven’t even tried ScreenMirroring . If this doesn’t work for you then please respond & I’ll get you connected! I’m almost done completing my third party best ever App Store for the Fire OS btw!

The volume works on the phone but not on the tv. It’s hard to watch anything if you can’t hear what they are saying on the tv. How do I fix this issue?

Why is the compression when I connect my top tier smart phone to my 4K tv so terrible. There’s no reason my 4K tv should display 480p quality and be choppy at the same time.

I just cannot get ScreenMirroring to work no matter what I do. I even paid for the pro version, if it also froze. I deleted both and started over. Now I can’t even get pro unless I pay again. Not worth the aggravation.

Its really laggy/ glitch and 10 second delayed and there is still no audio from the tv but from my phone. Please fix! Thanks for your time.

Finds my other older firesticks in the WiFi search v1 and v2 but not my new 4K. Too bad had some hopes for ScreenMirroring.
