I’d give this game 5 stars if a few simple changes were made. Such as the combat being completely unbalanced in certain situations and missions like the princess rescue. You could pay real money and get the best of everything in the game and still be killed in 5 seconds just by walking towards the enemy pirate camp before you even have a chance. Sometimes before you even see who is shooting at you! And there’s no way to heal yourself! How ridiculous! The controls and graphics are almost there they just need a little update to be a little more smooth then they currently are. The game is a ton of fun and has a lot of potential. Right up until you get slaughtered and lose all of your good items. A few new ships and making sea battles feel a little more in-depth wouldn’t hurt either. Until the fixes/improvements are made it’s really really not worth spending money on, but if you’re looking for a low rent game to play for free this is it.

I downloaded the game a week or so ago. I played it, liked it, so I bought the full version, because what they offer you in the basic version is close to nothing. But just two days ago, I go to start it up and it crashes. I payed 8 dollars for the game to crash. And what is worse, when I go to contact the devs, it gives me an error. And I tried on both my iPad and my iPhone, no difference. So I had to go to their web sight and write them an email. And surprise surprise, haven’t heard from them for over a day and a half now. I tried reinstalling the game, resetting my devices. It’s something with my save, which is now probably corrupted. If they made it easy to contact them, I’d be fine with that, but they really don’t. If I don’t get a reply by tomorrow I will be contacting apple.

The game would be pretty great (only reason it got two), IF it were not for a serious flaw in game controls that the developers seems unwilling or unable to fix. The camera view and movement controls glitch so the movement starts to control the camera view, and NOTHING controls the movement. You have to stop touching the screen for a second to get it all to reset, and in any close battle, especially in the 3rd person player mode where you run around with a sword, it will cause you to die, A LOT. Such a shame! On top of that, the advertisements for expansions and boost packs randomly appear the top of the main sailing gameplay screen, larger than any other icons on the screen, no way to hide them I can find, and when tacked on next to the normal icons, they block the top left part of the screen pretty well, which is no good. Sell things when players log on or go to menus, NOT in the middle of gameplay.
