Restore purchase? Why would you when you can pay more???

A month and a half or so ago I got my phone stolen and with it went my this app app save data and don’t get me wrong I loved Moody but without the reminders I had stopped journaling and almost forgotten about it…until today! I open my iPad and download the this app app and think oh maybe I can just restore my purchases and get back in the groove. NOPE within seconds of downloading Moody I’m given an option to take an offer for cheaper rates which I reject since I already have a subscription I can restore and when I press the restore button it repeatedly failed to do that but instead took me back to the “offer” page. I understand that Moody space runs on revenue and that Moody has no ads that would otherwise be a way to make money but by god that’s just an awful way to try to get people to buy subscriptions. Moody is overall very fun to use and I had a great time for the 3-4 months that I used it but this is very disappointing to see and I hope the developers can address the aggressive marketing.

Does not correctly orientate on iPad docked in magic keyboard...

Moody and others made by this developer don’t orientate to landscape for those of us using our iPads as hybrid laptop/smart touch device/phone. This IMHO should be a no-brainer and should be fixed ASAP. I’ll gratefully change my review when that’s been taken care of. On another note.... how is there not a driving icon?!!! People’s moods aren’t affected by driving? Mine sure is. Yet, no icon to chose that’s even remotely useful (Bike?!!!) And no option to upload my own icon. Get these fixed and it’ll likely be awesome. Ironically. currently my mood is worse for trying to set this up. FYI, there’s a bunch of issues with the current formatting of your “Help us improve this app” link under settings. Oh, and other thing, with the limited customisation, you can type if the mood first, then add the icon because it resets the label and you have to type it again... :/

A good concept but the tacking data needs work

Moody is helpful for quick day to day mood tracking, but the analytics interface needs a LOT of work- for example if you want to search your tacked moods from last year to look at trends you should be able to quickly swipe from month to month and then zoom in to the day- but Moodys ‘month’ is still swiping one day at a time (same for year) also the notes taken regarding a particular mood at a particular time do not corrisponde and are not in order. I’ve used this to track anxiety which leads to panic attacks- but now I am trying to go back and look at specific notes and trend in a particular day I am unable to see the notes easily. This needs a user interface overhaul for Moody to be practical.

Love it—but there’s something you need to know

Hello there! If your reading this, it will most likely help you and this app, if your reading this? I thank you! Listen, I love this app! I am one girl with a roller coaster of emotions and this app helps me to remain healthy and log how I feel! There is one thing. *SKIP TO HERE FOR IMPORTANT PART* why in the heck do non premium payers not have THE ABILITY TO USE A PASSCODE?!?!?! I get that you want to make money, and with a free app, Premium packages would be the deal, but this app, PLEASE. ALL USERS—PAYING OR NOT—should have the ability to use a password to enter their mood log. You MUST MUST MUST understand that not everybody has the money to be paying for this stuff! Take me for instance—I am a girl that wants a helper with her moods (which would be Moody) and I would like to keep it private. If people like parents look through my phone or a friend somehow gets into my phone, I DO NOT WANT them to be able to see my mood log!!! Please this app, at least open the pass lock so everyone!! Thank you, and hope you all have a great day! 😇

Ultimately overpriced

Thought this could be a replacement to daylio but the free version of daylio has most of what Moody puts under a subscription, with the exception of more in-depth statistics that are also behind a subscription there. Personally I'll stick with daylio since I also prefer the UI and Ux there.
After refusing the first yearly deal it tried to sell me a 5.99/year subscription for the first year though, so for some people it could be worth it if you find something in it that the free version of daylio doesn't do for you. If it were always that price or it had a lifetime purchase I'd maybe make the switch for cost more than prefrrence... But if you like it you'll have to pay the full price eventually, so careful not to get attached if you can't put that in your budget.
I do like that it seems to track moods separately from the daily rating though.

Potentially good apps but terrible update process

I tried this app and Grateful which seemed to have good potential for helping me. The trial was by number of entries instead of time, which is stupid. Posting 5 moods per day meant I ran out of trial before I could even see trends in the graphs.
I decided to purchase the Growth bundle and did so from the Grateful app. That worked ok and the update message in that app stopped showing.
Not so with this app. I spent 30 minutes fooling around with it and finally deleted Moody the reinstalled it which fixed it.
That said, the developers could do much better with this process. I was ready to quit and ask for a refund. Now I am unhappy with this so I guess I’ll try to journal that!

Works great for the first year

I got Moody because I like how it is user friendly. Also, it is great being able to look back and see patterns of my moods. Unfortunately, after about one year, Moody will not open. The problem started when Moody took a bit longer to load and the wait time was lengthening as each day passed. Then one day Moody wouldn’t open at all. I tried updating my phone and deleting Moody . Deleting Moody worked. It even let me restore my purchase. However, all my previous data was gone. I am able to log new moods but what’s the point if I can’t compare it to old moods? I then tried restoring my data from iCloud. After restoring my data, Moody is back to taking a long time trying to open and then stops. I am unable to open Moody .

Love this app - would like to see added features!

I love how easy Moody makes it to track my mood, with icons for different moods and factors. I especially love that I can customize and add different emotions and factors because not everyone has the same factors and not all emotions are included in the way it comes! One thing I would really like to see is the ABILITY TO CHOSE MORE THAN ONE EMOTION! Because emotions are complicated and rarely do people feel just one! Additionally, I agree that I would like to see better and MORE EXPANSIVE TRACKING FEATURES! I have subscribed to the bundle and the discount I received - $10 per year? Awesome! I love that they aren't trying to take all your money and have realized that a lot more people will subscribe if the price is reasonable! That said, when the discount ends next year, I will be unsubscribing because the price goes up to $100 which is waaay too much. Hopefully they will lower the price so I can continue subscribing; because I envision Moody and the other apps in the bundle really increasing my quality of life!

Simple to use....

I was recently diagnosed with Bi-Polar type II disorder. I tried different of apps to track my mood and this one seems to have everything I want. It is easy to use and to type journal entries. I like that you can add moods and icons for each mood and call them whatever you want. The one thing I do not like is the 1-5 scale. I think a 1-10 rating scale gives you the ability to be more precise on how you feel. On a one to five scale, everyday normal would be a 3. I just got married happy would be a 5. I am stupid depressed is a 1. That doesn’t leave much room in between for mixed moods. A 1-10 scale would make Moody almost perfect.

Broken with the most recent update

I love Moody and have been using it for two years now, but ever since the most recent update, opening Moody has been slower and slower, and now it won’t even open. I tap the icon, it gives me the logo screen, and then automatically quits. I tried restarting my phone and that didn’t work, so I assume it’s a problem on Moody ’s end. If not, I don’t know what’s wrong and why it isn’t loading for me.

Great overall, hoping the update has a few more features

Overall I like this app a lot more than some of the other mood tracking apps. It’s easy to use, you can update your mood as many times per day as you want, and you can export your data as a CSV file. There are a few features that other apps have that I wish this one had too, though, like menstruation tracking (as it very much influences mood) and medication tracking (to show worsening or improving of mood). I’m really hopeful these features get added in the future.

Paid user- Love it so far. Key problem though!

I love there is an ability to create new categories and such. However, there is no way to edit or delete a mood category you made. There’s some I made by mistake that already exists and now I cannot delete them. So, I am stuck with redundant categories. Please help fix that. Also, can we have daily motivational quotes please. I loved that from the previous app I was using. It keeps me keep focused and boost my mood. Thank you! Overall a great app. Love inputting my daily moods multiple times to track what’s going on and what’s affecting it.

Very good app

Moody is a great app for people who’s moods may fluctuate from day to day ! It tracks day to day moods all the way up to how you’ve been feeling pretty much all year around, I’ve looked at a few mood apps (the ones without major charges ) and noticed not many of them have that option. And not many of them are free like this one! 😊 I’ve only gave it 4 stars really because it doesn’t have a privacy option (not for free at least) and I don’t really agree that’s something worth charging for mainly because people that suffer from up and down moods deserve that privacy when available , other than that it’s a really great app strongly suggested! 🤩

Best mood tracking app so far

I’ve tried a bunch of mood tracking apps and this one is def the best so far due to the ease of logging , customizations and easy to understand graph. If Moody showed trend correlations like the developer’s other mood tracking app (Reflectly) it would be a 5 star for sure. It’s great to be able to filter by different data, but that doesn’t necessarily help me identify trends at different times of the day / or moods that correlate with specific factors. Ex, what’s are the *top* factors that I’m logging during moods that i rated a 1-2? Also wondering if there is a way to export data via excel for further analysis.

Simple, quick, does exactly what it is designed for

Moody has been great and I’ve used it for at least 6 months or so daily. It is easy to use with some simple customizations. I love that I can export my entries as a CSV file and email it to my therapist easily within Moody . Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was that after a few months Moody starts to big down with data; it crashes on load or takes a really long time to start up (I have an iPhone 11). This can be fixed by resetting the data, and if you export your entries first via that export tool I mentioned it’s not much of a loss. Also, the process for post-dating entries is unintuitive, though not difficult. Overall, highly recommend Moody.

Super customizable

After trying maybe 6 mood tracking apps, I landed on this one once i realized how customizable it is—adding specific factors and moods. I also love after looking at the reviews, many of the requests made have been met (like adding passcode, increasing rating scale) which brings me to my request:

I would love to categorize the factors instead of having them all listed alphabetically. For example, food, work, people etc. that way it’s easier to find and navigate.

Unless I haven’t figured it out yet, it seems like you can’t log more than one mood at a time (like happy and nervous for example) however I like that you can put multiple mood logs throughout the day.

Great design, cute icons!

I downloaded this after I downloaded (and paid for) tally. My therapist was curious if I could track certain moods in tally, and when I found out the same company has a mood tracking app I decided to downloaded it and use it for that. I really enjoy the interface, it has a lot of customizability and ease of use. Also, so many cute icons you can tailor to your mood, you can also mark contributing factors. The design is really wonderful, I don’t have the full version as of right now, but the quality of design in both Moody and tally makes it worth the money alone. It’s relaxing to look at— and that’s important! To me, at least.

Makes journaling fun

i absolutely love that i can make an entry within minutes. at first i didn’t like that you can only choose one emotion, but now i love it because it forces you to really think about what your strongest feeling is. i love all the factors, and the cartons are simple, clean, and cute. i do wish there was either a search feature for the factors or way to create tags using the # symbol. because searching through all my factors makes me avoid Moody sometimes. tracking weather isn’t that useful or relevant, that part could go away. it does crash if you need to edit your entry - specifically if you want to change your mood, but otherwise it is reliable. a big THANK YOU to the developers. i use Moody daily and it’s not a chore at all, i genuinely enjoy using it :)

The best I've tried

My doctor recommended that I get a mood tracking app, but the one he recommended cost $60/year for the premium version so I decided to try others. I downloaded a dozen or so, and this is the one that came out on top. Easy to use, with exactly the features I need, and the premium version is a one-time payment of $5.99 which is pretty cheap compared to most mental health apps. I like how I can see a graph of how I've felt over time during a single day, as well as weekly, monthly and yearly graphs. Personally, my favorite thing about Moody is how easy it is to add moods and factors while I'm making an entry. It's nice having so many emoji options and being able to tailor the features to my own needs. I set mine up with 10 moods instead of the default 5, so I have a slightly more nuanced feeling.

I Am Loving It So Far!

So I only edited one day on Moody but I have to say I am loving it! I love how you can customize anything to you match yourself, and how easy it is to use and navigate. I also really love how they let you try out Moody and all it’s features for free for 15 days to make sure you like Moody before you make any purchases to get the full version. I am very much looking forward to using Moody everyday! Thank you to everybody who put in all of their time and talent into making this incredible app! Thank you this app team!
