Not a lot changed...

Unclear if the 50 is a daily limit or the first 50 forever.

Regardless a sad development and subscription fatigue is real. This app will be cut from my use even though I use it daily because $20 is just too much for something other apps do better or just as good as this app for a one time fee or for free.

Thanks for giving me a chance to look at the new Reeder app. I was looking to give someone money again for a new experience and Reeder will get it.

If you like large amounts of unused space, this app is for you

The information density is very poor. Margins are too large and the article list view remains the same width in portrait and landscape modes. Choosing a smaller font does not increase density, just increases wasted space. I don’t understand the design decisions.

Subscription models aren’t always clearly beneficial to users

When an app goes to a subscriptions model users need a roadmap of some sort to see what that subscription provides to them. Bug fixes are always expected with a set price for a version.

Active work to provide new features and continued progress to improve an app or service through the app lead me to be more supportive of a subscription model. With some apps it easy to see that such will occur. With other apps, that’s not the case. It’s up to the developer to provide users with an incentive to go with a subscription model.
