Mostly good, but needs some updating

I got MyRowCounterKnitCrochet solely for using the tow counter on my Apple Watch. I found it annoying that to even use that feature, I have to subscribe to MyRowCounterKnitCrochet . Fine, I’ll support a developer, no big deal I guess. But the Watch app is… Not great. MyRowCounterKnitCrochet only stays active on the watch for maybe a minute. Then it goes away and I have to push 3 different buttons every time I want to bring it back. This gets really annoying when I have to do it every 2-3 minutes after each row I’ve done. And I can’t make a shortcut to the row counter app with the Shortcuts app for whatever reason, otherwise I could add a shortcut to my watch face and just tap that when it times out.

I do like that I can add my patterns and have counters attached to them. It makes it easy to remember where I left off on a project when I get project ADD. But viewing the pattern can be awkward as I need to zoom in due to bad vision, and that makes it jump all over the place sometimes.

I guess all in all, my biggest complaint is that the Watch features, which I had to pay extra for, are awful. I will be looking for another app to use instead of this one. It’s a deal breaker for me to not be able to quickly access MyRowCounterKnitCrochet when it times out every 60 seconds. Very annoying.

Handy tool

I love several features of MyRowCounterKnitCrochet: uploading the pattern right into it is amazing. The highlighter that follows your line is also nice. I’m sure there’s more that I haven’t explored yet. A couple of things that would make it better: allowing the clock to show when in MyRowCounterKnitCrochet . I can’t tell you how many nights I’ve stayed up knitting way too late because there’s no clock showing while I’m in MyRowCounterKnitCrochet . Gah! Same issue with the battery indicator. one additional feature is live to see is the ability to write notes on your pattern (e.g., I’m making slippers and for size medium I have to add two rows, which throws the row numbers off. I wish I could put a text box or draw on the pattern to re number the rows. Or cross things off as I’ve done them. I also wish it would work with Apple Watch to be able to count the row, as mentioned in another review. Overall, very handy!

Only one problem!!

I absolutely LOVE MyRowCounterKnitCrochet…except that the syncing across devices is horrible! I have all of my devices in front of me, they say they have synced just now, but all show different counters for the same project and my highlighter line is not where it’s supposed to be on one of them. It’s an easy problem to solve if you just stick with one device, but I like to have the option to see charts larger on my tablet, while seeing stitch explanations on my phone, and the row counter on my watch all at the same time. Please fix!!!!!

Otherwise, MyRowCounterKnitCrochet is the greatest thing ever and I will add that 5th star when my devices start syncing!!

I love this app!

It's so useful. Having the pattern along with the stitch count is so helpful. Being able to add multiple counters to a project and name them makes a huge difference for me when I'm using multiple colors and/or have pattern repeats. I haven't used the reminders but that's a great idea! Basically it's everything I've been looking for in a row counter, and worth the price, except...

I'd love for MyRowCounterKnitCrochet to have an Apple watch counterpart. That would make it 100% perfect and I'd pay more for it, and I rarely pay for apps. I was using another app that DID have a watch app, which was nice. It wasn't well implemented, and all the other features of MyRowCounterKnitCrochet were enough to draw me away, but I can't give 5 stars without a watch app. With a watch app, this would be perfect!!!

Great app!

Love MyRowCounterKnitCrochet! It’s easy to use - always my first benchmark. I also love that I can upload my pattern and have it right there with the counters. The ability to set multiple counters for a project is really useful! I also appreciate the ability to specify the row to return to on pattern repeats, i.e. if rows 4-12 are repeated in the instructions you can set it up it to go back to row 4 on each repeat. One of the coolest features is that you can link counters so that as you increase one it automatically increases the one linked to it. I use the voice command feature on my iPad so that, once I am set up I can progress through the pattern with just my voice.

This is a new staple.

I absolutely love MyRowCounterKnitCrochet! It makes tracking row increases so much easier, and the ability to quickly reference my notes by importing images is a game-changer. One of my favorite features is that my phone screen doesn’t turn off while using MyRowCounterKnitCrochet , which means I don’t have to constantly unlock my phone while working on a project. The interface is intuitive, and it’s a great tool for staying organized, whether I’m working on a simple pattern or a more complex design. Highly recommend it to anyone who knits or crochets!

Best Row Counter Ever

This is the best row counter app I have ever found. Every time I have thought to myself, “I wish I had a tool for ___ right now,” I’ve been able to find it in MyRowCounterKnitCrochet . They have truely thought of everything and I keep finding useful tools and calculators the more I look. In addition to the quality of MyRowCounterKnitCrochet , the developers are great too. The few times I have found bugs, they are either fixed before I can say anything, or I submit feedback and there is an update with a fix within a week. Truly a phenomenal app by a stellar dev team.

How did I ever crochet without this app!

MyRowCounterKnitCrochet is a fantastic way to organize your projects and patterns and keep track of where you are using the highlighter and row counter. Importing patterns from multiple sources is awesome and I love that you can add a photo of your finished piece. My favorite feature is counting rows using my apple watch. The developer is extremely responsive. I sent one email about a feature request and another about a quirk with the apple watch and I got a response within minutes - one time was on a holiday! It is totally worth the small annual subscription fee to support this awesome app and the developers.

Subscribed!

I really like that MyRowCounterKnitCrochet syncs with iCloud and you can seamlessly move back and forth between devices. So handy! I subbed to the annual subscription, and so far it’s really cool. I’m new to MyRowCounterKnitCrochet , but my main uses out of it so far: uploading patterns from almost anywhere, it can read charts!!, I can add notes!!, and there’s a really cool community aspect where you can upload and search for stitch/motifs, and patterns too. Does it link with ravelry? I think it does! I’m hoping this is the last app I need to use for this, I’ve tried so many and this one has everything I wanted so far.

😍

The paid app allows me to keep track of multiple projects and not have to worry about where I left, having the ability to add multiple counters has been great I can keep track of row and increases without having to worry about adding markers and it also has to ability to add a widget to your phone which is easier as you don’t have to have MyRowCounterKnitCrochet open at all times. Having the ability to download your pdf and have it in the background is not only amazing but saves on having to carry around so much paper. Love it love it love it

Get My Row Counter immediately if you are a crocheter!

I am a crocheter who if trying to start a small business with cute bags, purses, and so many other things. Back to the point. My Row Counter has helped me a lot and yes even though it says in app purchase it’s optional there’s no 30 free day trial or whatnot this is a app where u don’t have to pay money to use it for a month or for a year or whatever. So if u are a crocheter or a knitter USE MyRowCounterKnitCrochet it will make things really easy for u. I recommend watching a video about how to use this before going on MyRowCounterKnitCrochet because it can be a little tricky to understand how to use the pixel grids to help u.

Most useful app!!

This made more complicated patterns easy and extremely portable! Gone are the days of carrying my magnetic board and hoping nothing shifted. I wish my dear mother in law, who taught me to knit, was around to see this “invention”. I appreciate the highlighting of row I’m on and the counter that can connect to pattern count as well as over all row count. Truly genius and well thought out! And no, I do not know the makers just appreciating a great product! 😄 oh AND I love having patterns stored here. If I found yarn while traveling I can easily pull up a pattern and get started! That along with my short pointed easy to pack Denise needles, but that’s another review 😉

Awesome!

This is such a handy app! I have cognitive problems due to chronic illnesses and this helps me keep my projects organized, keep track of where I am in complex patterns, track pattern repeats within the larger project, and prevents me from ever losing my place (unless I really goof up). It’s so detailed that could use it to track individual stitches if I needed to. I haven’t even begun to utilize all its features but I’m looking forward to trying them out.
I appreciate that there’s a paid version too! That means with our support, they can have the funds to keep making MyRowCounterKnitCrochet amazing. My last app like this was free with no paid version (or ads); it was nice, but buggy, and every time they updated it, I lost all my saved projects. Every time!
MyRowCounterKnitCrochet is wonderful!: Well done and continually improving. Love it!

My crochet journey

Starting crochet I had a difficult time not only learning the abbreviations but as well as choosing the yarn I work with best. What I never knew is that I needed MyRowCounterKnitCrochet to help me keep track of where I am in my projects, it has digital counters you can use, and so much more! After using pens and paper, notes app on my phone, etc. I came across MyRowCounterKnitCrochet and gave it a go. I will forever use it now!! I will always always always recommend it as well to whoever crochets or knits would have any purpose for MyRowCounterKnitCrochet. It really has made my crochet hobby very much easy and simple as well as always on hand since it’s right on my phone!

Excellent App to Take Your Patterns With You!

I’m an avid crocheter/knitter and I use MyRowCounterKnitCrochet daily. It’s easy to import your patterns from almost anywhere(your device, Ravelry, etc.) You can adjust the width of the highlighter as well as zoom in on the pattern which makes following your pattern so simple. Along with highlighting the row you’re on, you can also use the row counter to keep your place in the pattern so that you can come back to it later without losing your spot. MyRowCounterKnitCrochet also has the ability to track time spent working on each pattern which helps when you’re considering how to price an item for sale once the item is completed. Excellent app all around!! You won’t be sorry you got it🙂

Super helpful!!!

I love MyRowCounterKnitCrochet!! I am working on a blanket with a four row repeat and the fact that I can not only do the counter for the repeat but also remind myself which row of the pattern that means I’m on without having to count it out every time is super useful! I ask love that I was able to search the web and upload the pattern directly into MyRowCounterKnitCrochet . No more worry about losing the wrapper from my skein (this particular project is one of those easy baby blankets that comes on the inside of the paper band) or forgetting what row I’m on. I’m sure there is so much more to MyRowCounterKnitCrochet , but I haven’t gotten into it yet! So far, I’m super pleased. The only thing I would add is watch integration so I could tap the watch to add to the counter, etc. but that’s just a minor thing!

Best Tool out there

I usually never invest in subscription based user apps but this one has been 100% worth it. And the help/support from the creators (Pierre helped me with a bug almost instantly)is unbelievably quick and kind. MyRowCounterKnitCrochet holds my
Projects perfectly and lets me categorize them how I want to. The highlight tool and ruler are absolutely perfect so I don’t lose my spot and the timer/notes helps me keep track of the amount of time each item takes me. Helps with my pricing for FO’s. And of course the counter. The counter is absolutely my hero when working on 6 different projects. It saves my spot and row count easily. Highly recommend and supporting MyRowCounterKnitCrochet by ding the yearly subscription is 100% worth it.

I LOVE this app!

I have used MyRowCounterKnitCrochet for more than 3 years and recommend it to everyone. I love that it syncs across all my platforms, even my Kindle Fire. I love the ability to set multiple counters for different sections of the pattern and that they can pop up when you get to that section and disappear when you finish it.
I especially love that I can highlight the row that I am working. This is so much more convenient and portable that those magnetic boards ( of which, I own two). This makes complicated lace and cable charts so much easier!
I also really like that I can directly import patterns from Ravelry or PDF. I convert my book patterns to PDF so that I can use them in MyRowCounterKnitCrochet without paying extra for a program-specific pattern.

Easiest yarn app I’ve found

This program has everything I was previously using multiple programs to achieve. I can make a pattern with either freestanding text, row instructions or by chart.

I love the pattern importing feature. There is a row counter feature that allows you to break it down to multiple parts of the pattern, all rolling up to a global counter so you never lose your place. You can also add notes without “mucking” up your pattern. There is a highlight feature as well.

There are just so many features to this program that I haven’t even tried like the yarn stash. It comes with a trial period to look everything the program has to offer. I’m definitely going to purchase this program because it has everything!!

Super Handy!

I've been using MRC for years now and I really do love it. It's awesome to have all my patterns, completed and those on deck, in one place. Great features like highlighting and annotating. I love that there's a timer—I always forget to use it but it's there which is awesome! Easy to import all my patterns. Multiple counters makes it easy to know how many repeats, increases, rows, etc. you need to complete as pee the pattern. The creators are always updating and improving MyRowCounterKnitCrochet itself which us great. Huge shout-out to the team. Love MyRowCounterKnitCrochet and recommend it to all my friends!
