Game was fun till the bugs and the bots ruin it.

Game allows you to play battles with power ups/leveling up your sword. I played the side/mini games because that’s what I thought was the most fun but now whenever I play any battle matches the bots are nearly unbeatable. No matter which power up combo I use the bots will have access to higher level power ups allowing them to use power ups more often and last longer. I can’t win more than once every fourth game. About one of every four games I start I literally can’t cut a single fruit because the game doesn’t recognize the swipes as blade cutting so ya get 0 points. Even if you’re winning a match many times the game can glitch and will continue while the counter is at 0, and I’ve lost a few matches that way. Upgrading your blade is useless because to computer will just match you with a bot of the same blade caliber. The mini games have been getting more and more glitchy as well. The “mini-game shuffle” will not save your progress so you can’t win any prizes, even if you manage to beat all 12 mini games. The Mayhem game, as mentioned before, will frequently not recognize your sword so you can’t score a single point.

Ads

In general, if ads are in games, they are most of the times abundant and pop up in your face all the time. Luckily, this game does not have many ads. However, this doesn't mean they are not greedy. Anytime i try to open the shop, an offer pops up to buy the season pass, then at the bottom it says “skip this awesome offer”, and I personally hate how the game is making so many people think this offer is some sort of amazing deal, if you play the game a lot and want to progress, sure, maybe, but if you just want to play for fun, this honestly shows how this game favors people who pay and not just play the game. Along with this, the PVP game mode is broken. I keep getting matched up with people that have swords with extremely high power, and there is nothing you can do about it other than watch them destroy your score with one swipe. This game just honestly has many other flaws that I will not talk about in this review. This was just a way to share my opinion, because I think the developers di not care about the reviews. Don't recommend

Not for 4+, shows violent ads

I have a 5 year old who loves to play fruit ninja classic (no ads) and was really excited for fruit ninja 2. I told him it had ads in it and that he should let me know if any of them seemed scary. He has now come to me almost every time he plays saying that he saw a scary ad. These ads show violence and killing. It shows people being scared and dying. How can your game be 4+ if it is perpetuating violence and death? I know game developers need to make a living. I know small game startups and even midsize companies need to show profit in order to sustain the creative team it takes to support these games. What I am upset about is that your game could choose appropriate ads based on the 4+ rating of the game. The ad network you work with should be able to allow you to set limits on the types of ads shown. No 5 year old should have to watch hordes of zombies being shot or a scared mother and child having to be rescued from being burnt by lava. It is graphic, obscene, and morally reprehensible to allow these ads to be shown during game play. I will be closely watching my son when he plays this game but encourage him to play games where they don't show violent and obscene ads. I will continue to write a negative review of the game until the ad network is changed or limits are placed on the types of ads being shown.
