I would have given it 5 stars, but I have an issue with the advertisements. I understand that advertising support pays for the service, but inadvertently, my finger sometimes misses touching the TV show that I want information about—instead, up come the dang ads. I wouldn’t mind that so much, but they plant some kind of spyware that tracks my interests so they can market similar products. If these businesses were legitimate (i.e., a physical location with their contact information) they wouldn’t get away with this type of deceitful practice. After writing all this, I lowered my rating to “3-stars.”

It’s not actually TVListingsPlus. It’s just that digital TV doesn’t have anything new they just keep playing the same old crap over and over. I can watch stuff on the Internet quicker and easier so. You might want to tell the broadcasters that they need to step it up and quit playing crap over and over it’s ridiculous! Which in turn is fixed your app. Does anybody understand. Otherwise your app is fine. Just pass this down the line. If not they’re all going down. Including your app. Thank you

911 is different from 911 Lone Star. I don’t find it reliable for one to be listed when the other is actually being aired. I don’t watch both, so I am annoyed when I turn on a channel based on your listings and they are wrong. I had used TV guide for years, but didn’t like the newest version, so switched. TVListingsPlus is better than others because the descriptions about the storyline of most shows, especially reruns, help me decide if I want to watch. However, I get frustrated when the information is wrong, such as giving information about the incorrect pilot for The Closer. Also, I miss the information about which actors perform in each episode. I now have to leave TVListingsPlus and open a different one to find out who that familiar face is.

This is the best app I have found to replace TV Guide app since they “improved” it. (Everyone hates it.) You can put your favorite shows on a Watchlist and they appear in the Today tab for easy viewing times. The only problem I have is that if you view the Today list even one minute after your show starts, it no longer appears on the Today list. So it makes it harder to know quickly that one of your favorite shows is on right now. You have to go to the channel list and scan all the way through it for shows that are on right now.

TVListingsPlus does a lot of things that the new and ruined TV Guide does not do, but it has a few shortfalls that others have addressed. I highly recommend TVListingsPlus as the necessary companion to TV Guide.
If I could only have one TV app, I’d pick TVListingsPlus.
One problem that plagues both apps is inaccurate information when the source of the listing data is obviously wrong; in other words, the apps display what the network source provides. I used to blame TV Guide but TVListingsPlus has the exact same inaccuracies, so it’s definitely not the fault of TVListingsPlus .
PRO:
The presentation of TVListingsPlus is user-friendly: dark type on light background. TVListingsPlus also gives you real details about the program content, not just the name of the episode, season number, and episode number. The only plot & cast details TV Guide provides is for movies, which is useless for normal TV shows.
CON:
TV Guide displays more high-level information per screen, so there’s less scrolling there and gives you a good idea about what’s showing. With TVListingsPlus, it takes longer to see the overall schedule and there’s a lot more scrolling. When you have over 30 channels that you watch, this is a real problem.
CONCLUSION:
You need both apps. Use the TV Guide to see the big picture and also for movie details, and use TVListingsPlus for TV show details.

The major item lacking in TVListingsPlus is the same gripe I have with others in that it fails to show all the channels I can receive and won’t let me add them either. Otherwise, I have little to criticize about it. It’s slim and offers a fair amount of program info. I would love to see a link to IMDB for a more complete show description as well as a listing of actors but that’s minor. All the others I’ve looked at are either way too skimpy with not enough info or they overwhelm with too much info with no way of paring them down easily.

East enough to use but sometimes inaccurate. It does not list all the channels available that I have access to on my cable network and it lists the wrong music channels. It even lists channels that aren’t on my cable network. I have Music Choice on my cable system but this lists Stingray, which used to be the music network before our cable company changed the lineup a bit, dropping some channels and adding others. I do have a way to check my other channels but it is time consuming and I can only see an hour at a time. But I can see what’s on 10-12 days ahead whereas I can only see 6 or 7 days’ worth with TVListingsPlus.
When will TVListingsPlus be updated to match what I am getting on my cable system? One network I like to watch is NatGeoWild on channel 493 on my cable network but it’s not listed in your lineup. Please update to the current available channels in my area.

TVListingsPlus is great for allowing me to know what what is for the apps I use on Apple TV. I’d give it 5 stars if there were a way to modify certain channels. There’s a couple of channels where it has the wrong time for what is going on for the live tv. It would be great to be able to set the time for individual channels that get the time wrong.
It’s a little bit of a bummer when I see a show and get to that channel and it’s not on. I understand it’s not the developer’s fault that the station is sending them the wrong info based on a time zone. The solution would be to offset the time zone for the channel so that it offsets to the proper time due to reality.

I use TVListingsPlus to set a reminder for when my favorite movies come on. It’s pretty good with that. The only thing is the TV Guide app has a watchlist app that you can add your favorite shows and or movies to. I can always go to that list and check to see if my favorite movies are coming on. On TVListingsPlus I always have to search and then set a reminder which is very annoying. Just make up a favorite list or watchlist that your users can frequently check instead always having to remember what movies you like and search for them. You have this only for shows and not for movies which dumb and annoying. Please add this feature ASAP or update your watchlist for movies.

I love TVListingsPlus for the broadcast channels because they are never listed in Conventional places where the review of what is on broadcast television that night. It is always correct with the listings plus a little bit of information about the programs. When I first moved to the country and had broadcast stations I never knew what was on from one time to the next each day or each week because I did not get the newspaper and I did not have cable. So I had no idea what was available. TVListingsPlus is fantastic I have had no problems with it whatsoever and it lists all the broadcast stations that I receive. I highly recommend TVListingsPlus for anyone who is watching broadcast stations or free to air stations.

TVListingsPlus is so easy to navigate. I love that it gives not only a channel’s lineup for the week, but also gives a brief description of the show or movie as well as the date it was made or started on tv. It sometimes gives you some info on the actors or the show or movie. I’m really big into trivia, so this is terrific. On shows you can also see how many seasons there were and a rundown of the titles on each show in a season. You can also set a reminder if there is a show you’d like to watch (or watch again). I’m so glad I’ve found TVListingsPlus!

Had TV Guide app then it would not upgrade
on my old iPh 6 which could not go higher than iOS 12.5 & needed 14. Was getting tired of all the ads popping up anyway.
Just upgraded to iPh SE 2020 & still issues TVGuide. Downloaded TVListingsPlus & like it so much better. Can see what is on the channels for nxt couple hours at one glance.
Plus can get additional info. I just have broadcast/antenna TV but still have 40 channels

I am still trying to find out how it all links & where to find stuff but it is rather easy to understand - for a person who has had a traumatic brain injury anyway.
I appreciate the individual line-up for each channel by the hour progressively on a separate screen plus a description then of each show (if available). You’ve made it easier to see exactly how long each show lasts.
I just am really appreciating TVListingsPlus. It might be nice to have even a gray scale gradient to differentiate sometimes. But it still works great for me!! 5 stars from me!!

I tried several of the tv listings apps & found most of them difficult to set up and use. Some are so cluttered with ads & promos that I hated using them. This one works really well for me: *easy to select OTA channels *when you open TVListingsPlus , you can see what’s coming up for the next few hours, or, *you can select a channel & see all upcoming programs & jump to the next days if you want to schedule some viewing *program descriptions indicate new shows I’m very pleased with TVListingsPlus & hope that giving it 5 stars & a good review helps others avoid wasting time on the others

I had been using the " No Cable" app and had to list my daily program line up in a document on my phone. Also there was not much of a description of the programs. I decided to see if there was a TV guide app. I downloaded TVListingsPlus and it was just what I was looking for. I like the features of seeing what was on channels in the next few hours, a detailed description of the program including key actors, and the season number of daily sitcoms. Thank you so much for placement of TVListingsPlus. It really is a "TV guide".

This is a fantastic tv listing app! We don’t have cable - we use an Eclipse indoor antenna, which picks up a lot of channels. I’d been using TV24 app for years, but had to delete because it wouldn’t sync with new local channels. TVListingsPlus found all our channels, and I can omit channels we never watch. The advertising is minimal, TVListingsPlus data size isn’t huge, and it works like it should. Definitely recommend. Thanks developers!!

TV Listings Plus is so much better than the others. Like another user wrote, I’ve been using the TV Guide app for years but decided it was time to change due to it hogging a lot of memory for advertising and trailers I’m not interested in. The ability to add favorites was useless since the networks were still scattered. TVListingsPlus is clean, simple and loaded with customization features. I just wish I’d known about “TV Listings Plus “ earlier. Very happy now!

I rarely ever post a review that saying, I felt I had to give TVListingsPlus a four star rating. When TV guide did an update several months ago it was horrible so I went looking for another app and found this one. I have been using it now for months and am really happy with it. Very user-friendly, which is important to me, very easy to add or delete channels. I don’t think you can go wrong if you just give it a try.

I stumbled upon TVListingsPlus and decided, what the heck I’ll give it a try. I’m glad I did.
No more channel surfing! Open TVListingsPlus and I can see what’s on or going to be on every channel I get. I no longer have to suffer through ads before seeing what’s playing, or flip back and forth trying to catch what’s on. Not to mention how much time is saved trying to find something to watch when I had to channel surf!
Worth a try!

We cut the cable to the mega conglomerate cable, I don’t want to feed the rich as they stick it to us on their over prided cable. We bought a proper antenna and found this great app, it is so much easier and quicker to find what you are looking for on TVListingsPlus than looking on the tv. Good job ladies and gentlemen!! Cable is in the rearview mirror. Take the money you save and open up a savings account for kids, grandkids college fund. Take the money and donate to the children going to bed hungry every night in this country that is sucked dry by draconian taxes!!

Version 2.5.1
I live in Scottsdale AZ.
Channels 51.1 ION and 51.3 ION Plus have some of their programs off by 1 hour. Channel 45.5 KUTP5 has reverted to a tv schedule from months ago. This started since the change to Standard Time, although most of AZ is always on MST. Would have given 5 stars before this started.
I need to keep using version 2.5.1 because my iPhone 5s uses iOS 12 and can’t use iOS 13, which is required for version 2.5.2.

I’ve Used many different TV guide apps including spectrum and several others. They always crash or will not load. I’ve been using this one for over a month and have never had an issue yet. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because I do not like the layout choices. I’d rather see all of the TV shows listed straight across instead of down for a given channel.
by Captain Jimmy V
Simple. Accurate. You still can’t keep the times correct for channel 6.2. All others are right. Is it because it’s a children’s channel? Or is it the fault of the channel 6.2 personnel? They can’t be the problem. It’s your lack of due diligence. This isn’t a complaint, I pay nothing to use your app, so have no right to complain. We don’t have daylight savings time in Arizona. Is that the problem?
by Lagj0
I’ve been using this for about 6 months and I love it! It has never given me any issues and always has the correct information. TVListingsPlus I use to have would always switch to another time zone or cable provider, this one has never done any of that. Very pleased

I live 15 miles from the Canadian border, and most of the TV my antena picks up comes from Canada, yet TVListingsPlus only gives me the option of the Seattle broadcast listings - which is over 100 miles away ; beyond the reach of my antena. I switched to the Canadian version and it shows that there isn't any over the air TV broadcasts in Vancouver, when there are about 16.

This is a great app. I use it for my over the air channels. Even though TVListingsPlus shows the majority of channels, some channels are missing for the over the air channels for the Sacramento area. But other than that this is a great app.
Thank you Developer for adding the missing channels on your guide for the Sacramento area. I’m changing the ratings to 5 stars because this is an excellent app.

This is the best App our there! Control of layout, minimal ads...only issue is occasional time zone issues for certain channels, programs being am hour off?...But this is likely from the providers themselves, and/or the fact that I live in AZ/Mountain Time Zone, where daylight savings time is not practiced or adjusted for. Though there are settings for this, certain channels are still off. AAA+++

I love TVListingsPlus. I finally can customize and re-order my channel listing the way I choose! We haven't had traditional cable for years and was struggling to find a guide where I didn't have to endlessly scroll through dozens of channels I didn't have.
This guid makes it easy to cobble together the few channels we watch from the 7 or so we use direct logins with, like Syfy, Foxnow, TBS, TNT etc. paired with Philo.
Thank you thank you!! 👍👍

Found TVListingsPlus to replace the recently “updated “ TV Guide. Nice I don’t have to create an account to save my preferences. The format takes some getting used to. Would have been nicer to be able to scroll through the listings and channels quickly without having to open another window just to see what’s on that channel for the rest of the day. It’s be nice to have info such as when program first aired and when future airings will take place. Overall the design and content are great.

I switched from the TV Guide app to this one, and it is much better. You can change the order and also easily navigate to different days and times. When you click on a channel, it shows all programs for the day. Fast and clean interface. ++++
