Frustrating...

... It seems like a good game, but the interfaces just too screwy to mess with. I go into the photos and it takes me 5 to 8 taps before AllThatRemains recognizes that I wanna exit out of the photo album. Absolutely horrible. By the time I get backed out, I've forgotten what pattern I was actually looking for in the photos. and you need to be able to rearrange the sequence of the photos in the photo album. It's absolutely ridiculous that AllThatRemains doesn't remember where you were at but makes you swipe through each and every photo that you've ever taken. Again just a terrible interface. Made the game unlikable, although it probably is a good game.

Is there a glitch

First off. You use to be able to make the pics small and still be able to write on them...now you can’t. Makes it very hard to look at other pics then remember then find the pic you want to write on. Of course the pictures taken still aren’t in the order that you take them. Really wish that this would be fixed as well. Now to the game. Got the the pipes using the arrows on the fridge. This made absolutely no sense. Had to use a walkthrough. Used the walkthrough with pics of the box and it still wouldn’t work. Tired another walkthrough. Same thing. The box arrows are printed the correct way but the letters that light up don’t correspond. I pad for this game. Gods thing only $1.99. I’ve played all other glitch games and seems like the first forevers were without problems but then hitches and black screens.

Good game but very buggy **SPOILERS**

I'm a big fan of Glitch games and this would be no exception if it weren't for the fact it is so...um...Glitchy! There are a great many bugs in this game (played on an iPad pro). The big ones include the edits on the photos last about 2 lines drawn before the photo closes for no apparant reason. The puzzle with the map symbols at the door does not have a "return" arrow. If you click the puzzle to check it out (and why wouldn't you?!) you're stuck there unless you know the answer. Otherwise, you must restart game or go online and find a cheat sheet. Turning on the TV is impossible because the photo album icon covers up most of the dial. When the album is opened, it turns on the TV, however the photos cover up the puzzle screen. Sadly, this is at the very end of the game and I was very much NOT amused when I thought I'd have to give up after all the effort. By sheer luck, I was able to randomly fanagle a way to turn on the television for what was (for me, anyway) the final clue to help escape. In addition to other bugs, the game would close every once in a while as well.

A very frustration way to play an otherwise entertaining and reasonably challenging game.

That said, when the heck is Part 2 coming out?!?!

No Hints?

I really enjoyed all the Forever Lost games, so I purchased this without hesitating. The story line so far seems interesting. The in game camera/ notes system is awesome. (Especially for those multilayered puzzles) But, why did you get rid of the hints option? I can't be the only one that gets stuck from time to time. I especially liked them in Forever Lost 3 where it would give you a clue and under was the option to click how. Most, of the time what I was stuck on was so small it didn't warrant an entire walkthrough. (Like not seeing an object to pick up despite having been back to that location several times) Whenever I look up walkthroughs online they inevitably show steps in the process I would have rather liked to figure out myself. Plus, with hints, it's nice to backtrack to review what you've already done. Please bring this back.

Where is Part 2?

I have gone through twice, I enjoyed the brother/sister ongoing conversation. I still needed help from walkthrough the second time.
Ready for the next part.

Another great game from Glitch

Between Glitch and Fireproof games, the true masters of the puzzle/escape genre have emerged. This is another masterpiece from the Glitch team, with just enough puzzles of just the right difficulty to be a really great play. The clues are so well hidden and naturally environmental that you really do have to think, it’s not just “Oh, this door is locked. Oh, there’s a key over here.” - there are layers that make you exercise your brain.

I do agree with others who have said that the delivery by the main character was a bit disappointing. The dad-jokes are cute, but his reads are weak. And the upbeat nature of his counterpart’s responses took you out of the mood of the story somewhat. Despite that, I can’t wait for Part 2.

Good but not great (bad voice acting/dialogue)

This review is for the developers and comes with a caveat that I own a lot of your games.

As creators/developers I encourage Glitch to try different things if they chose so but only add it to the game if it matches the same refined quality as the rest of the game. Forever lost (3 in particular) seemed very polished top to bottom and when you guys add in an layer with audio I just think is has to be polished with the rest of the game. The voice acting is bad and distracting along with some of the sounds.

Also not a fan of the wheel UI introduced recently.

Again please be creative and do what you do but I think you should have parallel development with one game being what you want to do and the other Forever Lost 4,5,6....I know you guys are a small team and wish you the best!

Pre-Apocalyptic Fun

Just finished this today and thought at the same time: WOW & “that’s it?!” I breezed through the game, but that was my own fault but also Glitch’s fault it was so good! Lol. The puzzles were fun and not too difficult and I literally LOL’d at the punny joke about hungry clocks.

The only frustrating part was that the back button got lost behind the album and the camera on the right side when you view the keypad with the runes across the hall from the bathroom. The only way for the back button to get to the middle again was to open the album and delete a photo you took.. at least that’s what worked for me. Still a wonderful game though!

Little Glitchy, Glitch Games, but very good puzzler

I had to restart this game once, because the “back arrow” was in the way of a slider in a puzzle. I could not slide it without exiting the room each time. The game also crashed on my several times. TECHNICAL ISSUES ASIDE, the game itself was very good. Puzzles weren’t impossible to figure out without a walkthrough (although knowing how to input on 1-2 puzzles was a challenge), and they were very enjoyable to figure out. It was an interesting premise too.

Great, as usual

All the games these developers put out are really good. The story lines are interesting, the graphics are great, it has easy to use controls, the puzzles make sense, and some of the puzzles are hard which I love! I know you can’t put out a really difficult game because people would complain, but it would be great if you guys did an extremely difficult bonus level to one of the next games.

AllThatRemains was on par with the others released, it just felt a little short.

Fun puzzles!

Loved playing this and other Glitch Games. One minor bug: if I click on the puzzle outside the office, the arrow at the bottom of the screen disappears. To make the arrow appear and get back to the previous screen, I have to open the photo album and delete a picture. I had to restart the game twice before I figured out how to get off that puzzle screen! All in all, very enjoyable game. Make more!

Fun!

Love, love, love Glitch games! They are all so fun and just the perfect amount of challenge for me. The voice acting didn’t bother me at all...not sure why people were so picky about that. I actually liked not having the temptation of hints! This game is short and compact enough that one can stay on track without them and it’s more gratifying in the end to have done it with just the ol noggin. Thank you Glitch guys for making these and giving this bored housewife something to think about besides chores! :)

Really great game!

My 11 year old step daughter have played all of forever lost series and are now working on FBDO and the forgotten room. Once I saw this had released we were all over it and were SO EXCITED to see some familiar names and were happy to have some challenges instead of tempted to go straight to the hints. So we both have some feedback with the developers of this game. 1. There is only 1 bug, while you’re on the computer it will not let you view what’s on the screen, and when you hit back button you’ll get a very short flash of what’s on the screen. Rebooted the game and it then worked. 2. Part of us loving this game so much is that there are multiple episodes to one game (forever lost 1,2,&3) and we LOVE that in some of this game you see some things that you become familiar with in FL. So keep tying these stories together it’s really great! 3. I personally love the eerie creepyish gameplay, and I think with knowing that something might happen when you figure out a puzzle or a hint keeps you on your toes but also doesn’t make you panic with a time limit to figure stuff out, meaning that you have no rush to enjoy the gameplay thinking that something scary may happen if you don’t finish fast.
ALSO, we don’t play these games unless we’re together, so we would both like to ask to test for you guys if you’re looking for someone to play and give feedback. Thank you for a great game!

Just a couple changes

I would say the voice acting was great except that main characters. That is unfortunately the most important voice acting. The guy who did the main character should be replaced.

The puzzles were good except a couple things were really far out there. I don’t want to spoil it, but there were a couple items I would have never got without looking at a guide.

Otherwise really good game! The story is intriguing, the ending is a surprise, and the puzzles were mostly entertaining.

Love this and other Glitch games!

I just finished the Forever Lost series and was so happy to discover this one after visiting the Glitch website. Really enjoy the flow of the game, the level of difficulty and the graphics. Please hurry with Part 2!! I was surprised by the lack of a Hint option. I don’t like using hints and try to avoid it, but I could have used one at one point in the game (the computer - darn password!! Lol!). I actually had to do a google search for a bit of help. Not a big deal, but just something to consider for next time. Keep up the great work! I’ll forever be a fan.

10/10 would buy again!!

I love glitch games! I'll start by saying that every glitch game app I've downloaded has been stellar and I highly reccomend all of their stuff. There's no ads or arbitrary "energy" limits and none of the other money grubbing features that makes free apps miserable to play. Just hours of well-constructed entertainment.

I stumbled upon Forever Lost a while back and I was hooked from the free preview game (Alice's Cabin I think it's called). I don't normally pay for apps but I immediately downloaded the first one and I was so hooked I had to download the whole series to find out what happened. I made my sister and boyfriend download them too and were all obsessed.

I was so excited when I saw glitch had come out with new stuff! I liked AllThatRemains even better than FL! It's soo worth the money. The quality is so good and the puzzles are challenging enough that you dont finish the whole story in one sitting but not so hard that you have to look up hints. and the storyline is really interesting. I love how glitch incorporated voices this time and the animation is so realistic. You can tell they really put so much time and effort into making an awesome game. Can't wait for part 2!!

Great game!

When it's the next one coming out? You guys are not making games fast enough! I just wish they were longer. My main recommendation would be adding the hint option
I really liked the hint option for one of the forever lost games (can't remember exactly which one but I think it was forever lost 3) and I wish that they all had the same option. It was perfect because it's didn't totally give away the answer, but pointed you in a direction. The only thing I didn't love about this particular game was all of the back and forth banter over the walkie talkies. It was annoying.
I love these games and I don't mind paying for them, is so worth it I think.

The best games...

Glitch Games develops the best games, no doubt about it. I just finished playing the beta “Veritas” (9 hours total) and I’m absolutely in awe of how well that game was made. The puzzles were fantastic, the graphics and gameplay were outstanding. The game had ZERO glitches, and it was absolutely flawless. Well done. I’ve now played every single Glitch Game and I’m bummed that there aren’t more! I just recently found these games so I purchased them all and undoubtedly they were the funnest games I’ve played. I’m not exaggerating. The Forever Lost trilogy was my favorite after Veritas, but I really liked every single game, including All that Remains and A Short Tale. To the developers-y’all are talented and I’m now a huge fan. To anyone looking for great games that are LONG and challenging and totally FUN, definitely give ANY Glitch Game a try. You won’t be disappointed!!

Dying for Part 2!

I loved this game when it initially came out and have been waiting ever since for part two.
Glitch games, you guys are my absolute favorite and I’ve been eagerly (patiently) awaiting the sequel for this game.
[On that note...I am also eagerly waiting for y’all to come out with ANY new game soon. I’ve played A Short Tale 3 times, Veritas twice, and I’m currently in the mist of my 4th time playing the Forever Lost Series (getting ready to replay Forever Lost 3). While playing I came across your requests to review the game. I assumed I probably wouldn’t be able to review it twice, but I’ve become so hungry for new content I figured I’d return and send in a second review in hopes to gently nudge (or shove...whatever works) y’all to please gift the world with a new game.]
Counting down...until then, thanks for all y’all do!

Can’t wait for the next one

I’ve really gotten into these games lately, playing one Glitch Game after another. I like the scenarios that are dreamed up, the challenge level of the games, and I actually really enjoyed the banter. I know some didn’t, but I thought it suited the age and sibling status of the two, who really don’t fully understand what’s going on or how dire the situation may or may not be. Have to admit I needed help a couple times, so I, too, missed the hint system, though usually the answer was less complicated than I made it.

Anyway, thanks and please hurry with the sequel!
