So slow it’s dysfunctional

Version 4.0.0 is a bust, mainly over lost features and Silly RV cosmetic decisions.
1. The thumbnails on the home screen take 30-40s to download on WiFi before you can see anything other than grey lines. On 4G, I haven’t been able to load the app at all. I don’t need the thumbnails at all! Just a list of titles and participants, etc.
Scrolling down takes another 10-20s per time I move my thumb.
2. RV removed player controls, like speed of playback. This is an essential feature.
3. The upgrade deleted all my saved content, that I haven’t had time to listen to yet, and the app is so dysfunctional I can’t go back and look for it again.
RV should consider a hard revert, and should stop spending so much time on cosmetics, and a lot more on testing functionality.
The new announced functions in 4.0.0 may be good, if I ever get to use them, but the player controls were more important.
Most recent overhaul broke numerous pieces of functionality

The lates update has made the app nearly unusable. None of the issues listed below existed previously.
1. Audio plays over Bluetooth briefly only to disconnect. My Bluetooth device (which I will add works fine with every other app on my phone) then mysteriously disappears from the selectable devices in the TV app.
2. Video and audio playback does not remember ones location. One must screenshot their position in order to return for a subsequent listening or viewing session.
3. Downloads speeds are inconsistent and overall much slower than they were previously.
4. Navigating away from a screen while downloading seems to (inconsistently?) stop the download entirely.
VERY irritating to have such a poorly tested version of software pushed to production. I am strongly considering unsubscribing and would if not for the high-quality content RV provides.
Hard to take serious

Been a subscriber for years and it’s become clear there is no interest in making the mobile app any better than a few bug squashings. Hard to take the platform serious if you cannot take mobile serious. It’s disappointing as there are some greats guests from time to time but getting farther & fewer in between with a growing focus on crypto. Sad to see as this was once a great source of content.
