MPlayer: player for MEGA.NZ Reviews

MPlayer is everything I wanted it to be. However, I have a hard time closing the advertisements. I think I might go ahead and break down and paid two bucks to get the pro version. I wish there was a way I could maintain the ratings and other attributes that I have assigned to my audio files, like I had done in iTunes. I think the shuffle play button doesn't always shuffle. It kind of irked me at first, but it's no big deal because it's easy to work around. Other than that I think MPlayer is really awesome and I thank the folks who developed it. I'm very satisfied overall.

I’m a daily user for Samsung and I have this iPhone only for music at work and I’m glad to be able to have the same library on mega and be able to listen to it on both devices

Ever since I downloaded MPlayer it always seems to find a way of not working on the most basic controls. I had potential to be perfect you guys keep dropping the ball on this one. First it will play the wrong tracks when It clearly played the track before, it seems to have a mind of its own since it likes to crash all the time. And now it has the opposite problem as before where it wouldn’t let you delete songs from your library but when ever I go back into it the same tracks will be there despite deleting 10 minutes ago!!!

Sometimes the songs just don’t load/play. If it does, it does after what seems like a full minute. I have fast internet and playing the same songs/file from google drive has no problems loading audio.

When it does start playing songs, after a couple of songs, it stops loading songs again. Only after closing MPlayer completely and then opening it again does it load the song that it left. I’ve tried deleting MPlayer and redownloading it but the problems persists.

What I’m getting at is the way MPlayer is coded (potentially from loading the songs from mega’s api to streaming) could be optimized better.

I also wish there was a feature that allows streaming at a lower quality/streaming rate to allow for faster song loading.

MPlayer is one of the amazing app i have ever had ,i wish i had known about MPlayer two years ago, it makes things much easier especially if you were an IPHONE user.

Would give 5 stars easily and say it’s the best music player app in the world buuut the shuffling algorithm is just complete trash. It will play the same 20 songs at the start of my shuffle and I don’t hear half the songs on a playlist of 100, even after months of playing the same playlist

I payed the $5 for premium well worth it and now have the apps full capabilities for just $5.
It’s a one time fee just pay it. I have thousands of rap leaks from juice, travis, uzi and carti on here and MPlayer works well playing all of them!!!

Jump on this. The little things make it a GEM.
This is well thought out and does more than I expected.
Works when you close lid, change programs, pauses for phone etc. Good work Guys!

I like MPlayer but the “CONNECT” tab is constantly broken. I can even connect and find files because I’m always getting the error message saying I don’t have internet when I clearly have internet. And it literally doesn’t even try to connect. It just immediately brings up the error message without hesitation

I am unable to add songs to this Music section on your app. I have the pro version. Local files and playlists work. I synced ‘from music section’ and ‘to music section’ and neither works. Support email for MPlayer doesn’t work, it gets kicked back.

Hello devs team everytime I want to log in it tells me I require a Internet connection and. I have a connection idk why it won’t let me log it

Great app for playing my large mega library, pro edition well worth it but the reasons for my 3 star today is MPlayer crashing currently occurring on MPlayer while on a iPhone 13 on iOS 15.1.1.

I don’t want interrupted by a crash that’s all. Great audio player though!

Can you add a feature that allows us to increase the font size of the text?

make it so you can change the album cover of songs you put on there through files

I hope in a future update you guys can add a speed and pitch changer but anyways very good app 😁

MPlayer doesn’t allow me to login to my mega account. Because of this I can’t upload any files. Other than this major flaw MPlayer is really good.

I really wanted to like MPlayer, but unfortunately it doesn't work with newly-created MEGA accounts, only old ones.

My new MEGA account logs in perfectly with my MEGA app, but not this app. I keep getting an "Error Expired" popup.

It's such a shame, because I really wanted to like MPlayer. Technical support haven't responded at all to my emails either.

My old MEGA account is full, and I didn't have the time for the additional hassle of creating space for my 25 GB music collection.

I'll be giving Vibe music player a try instead. They can also stream from your MEGA account, as well as other accounts. Haven't tried them yet.

Try to connect to my Mega account and it would just stuck at the loading screen. Very disappointed. Restarts my phone, update my phone, uninstall and reinstall MPlayer ... nothing helps. Sad to leave a review like this but what’s the point of I can’t even connect to my account?

MPlayer is perfect and barely has any ads at all. highly recommend

My only issue is that I can’t seem to add more than 8 accounts but the pro version is supposed to let you have unlimited accounts. Whenever I try to sign into MPlayer with another account I get an error message saying “Error: Expired” which I am unsure what that means but hopefully there is a workaround or an update coming because I would really love to continue using MPlayer . Thanks!

Otherwise good

When syncing music it will stop halfway through and never fully completes. To fix this you have to restart MPlayer , let about 3 songs sync, restart MPlayer , let another 3 songs sync and keep doing that annoying process until every song is synced... THIS IS A MASSIVE HEADACHE, please fix.

I uploaded several mp3 files to Mega and thought the this app would be the perfect companion app so I could set playlists etc... however, it asks for my connection info and the gives an error (Expired) screen

It appears the API key may have expired? At a rate if you can get this changed I’ll gladly update my review!

There’s an issue with the track control slider on the lock screen. I hope you fix it.

Include flac support and get the 5star rate from me. My entire music library is in flac and converting them takes ages! It's a popular format there's absolutely no reason for not including it.
