For a number of years now I have used this app as one source of news, while my sons are deployed. But, your last update has introduced terribly intrusive and annoying ads. So intrusive are the ads that it’s difficult to simply read through an article. I understand the ads are a/the source of revenue, but seriously this is ridiculous.

I hate ads. I can tolerate an ad banner at the bottom of the screen, but pop-up ads are my biggest pet peeve, especially when you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can close them. I’d be willing to pay a couple bucks for an ad-free version, but unless/until that happens I won’t be using this app.
