Air Bubbles: Live Air Quality Reviews

I have used AirBubbles for at least 2 years now. It’s been of great help during wildfire season to know when it’s safe or unsafe to do activities outside or even travel to certain parts of the world. It’s also helpful to know where to go to escape the bad air! I love how AirBubbles is swift and easy to load and access AQI data. Thank you.

Ever since the Northern California wildfires last fall, I have been very curious about the air quality in my area and if I’m breathing in “healthy” air. AirBubbles definitely provides that information and helps me feel safer around the area I live.

I’ve had AirBubbles for a couple of years and it used to be trustworthy; now it’s inexcusable inaccurate for an app that deals with information relating to health issues. I live in the second most polluted area of the country, compounded this summer by wildfires. Air bubbles has today’s reading as a 29. It’s not a 29 on the best days. I’m giving up and uninstalling because I haven’t had an accurate reading in months.

Easy to use, easy to read, and not overly complicated, this is one of the best air quality apps out there.

I’ve been using it since the Napa fires. It’s fairly accurate and alerts you when AQI worsens. Highly recommend.

What was a good app became a P-O-S in one update. Now it blares ads every time you tap something and 1/3 of the map is covered with information that could have been presented in a much better format. I switched to the AirVisual app for the same data with better presentation. 4 stars became 1.

Why did air bubbles did not show the air quality results some times?

AirBubbles is totally unreliable. The smoke from a nearby wildfire was awful, and it had my area listed as “good” air quality. Also, it had two bubbles right next to each other, with one listed as “good” and the other as “unhealthy.” How is that possible? Do not use AirBubbles.

I downloaded AirBubbles due to recent wildfires In my area. AirBubbles doesn't always show the air quality in my area or surrounding areas. Too bad, had high hopes.

I love it. Great to know conditions of air besides just temps. I have COPD and asthma people need to know especially.

Discovered during the Camp Fire in Northern California that suddenly the air quality in Chico was listed as a delightful 16, according to Air Bubbles, when it was actually well over 300, and in the Hazardous range. Deleted AirBubbles and got a more accurate one.

AirBubbles is very easy and intuitive to use. All you have to know is a higher # = lower air quality, that's it! Every else is suuuper self explanatory. I also like how convenient it is - which is really helpful for when I'm traveling to a more distant locale or thinking of a friend/family member living elsewhere. This is an awesome app!!

AirBubbles used to be good, now is nothing more than an advertisement for their air purifiers. Every time AirBubbles is open and you get an ad for their air purifiers. If I could give them less than one star I would do so.

AirBubbles was at one time useful, but now is worthless. The AQI where I am is 160 today based on multiple reputable sources. The sky is grey at it smells like smoke. AirBubbles says the AQI is 45. Laughable!

Suddenly stopped working. No longer shows air quality.

There is a 16,000 sq mile fire in Geyserville CA but it gives it a 52 reading. I think not. Considering deleting this program.

After Thomas air quality on app said “19 the air is good in Oxnard”. The real quality was rated as unhealthy. If AirBubbles can’t be right when I need it why bother.

No bubbles anywhere where I live (San Francisco) or anywhere else I panned to on the map, including asia.

Recent update remove nearly all data entries from China, so the map is almost empty

Why does not work app?

Difficult if you’re trying to keep an eye on things while you’re out and about and anywhere near the CA fires. iOS app works just fine.
