Good idea but bad execution. Wow

Please assist as whatever I do I receive no response from the assistant. Please assist

The developer somehow had all the previous negative reviews removed including mine. So here it is again. They sell a “lifetime” license, but then remove the key functionality to run queries and instead FORCE, not “allow”, you to use your own API key which costs you money. This was never explained ahead of time. And instead of responding to these issues, they just copy/paste the same response to everyone else complaining. Stay away.

Have no clue.

Added: even though I’ve made the lifetime purchase, the API key section shows as blank.

Nothing on it work…..not one single feature. Don’t bother downloading it and certainly don’t pay for it as you will absolutely regret doing so.

ChatbotAssistantAI seems to be a monthly membership, but if you input an API key; magically appears to be free. Then furthermore if attempting to use your API key to chat to the bot, outputs null all the time. I would say avoid for now and if you entered an api key, revoke it.

Tried to chat and generate image but app said I needed API key first. I couldn’t accesss key so I deleted and re installed app. I found out I lost lifetime access by deleting app and am unable to regain lifetime access.

Still not working with latest update. Even with API key in place, nothing works. I still have expectations on ChatbotAssistantAI, please make a video to show how to make it work with user API key.

I have it fully unlocked but no chat or image generation, nothing works. And there is no help button in ChatbotAssistantAI for assistance. Even with an API key logged in ……. Why? How does this really work? It seems you are just charging for administrating an already paid service for Open AI

Downloaded and tried to use, there aren’t really any instructions, just several categorized chat areas that did nothing.

As someone who has worked in IT for a long time I am not a novice user, but I do expect something to work out of the gate if there are no real instructions. In the case of ChatbotAssistantAI, it was not at all intuitive and appears to require a lot of messing around to get things working.
I tried for about 15 minutes and deleted, then wrote this review, and went on with my day!

I recommend skipping ChatbotAssistantAI and cut out all the other steps!

I am not a techie but I couldn’t get ChatbotAssistantAI to do anything. I got no response at all when I typed into the chat box There are no instructions or help. It kept asking me to upgrade.

I got a response from the developer on where to get instructions. It said I could either subscribe or get my own API. I went ahead and was able to get an API and inserted it but I still can’t get any response to my requests. I get a message that quickly disappears. Saying something about not having access to something. This is not worth all the fuss trying to figure out how to get it to work.

No response from ChatbotAssistantAI . It looks like a great app if it only gave responses.

ChatbotAssistantAI doesn’t do anything unless you provide your own OpenAI API Key.

Trying to test out ChatbotAssistantAI but it doesn’t really respond.

As of time of writing, there is a free lifetime purchase listed on the Apple App Store for ChatbotAssistantAI. But that option is not available for purchase on ChatbotAssistantAI . May be an oversight, but still feels like a poor user experience.

Ask questions and the reply is a white bubble with nothing in it. No replies

Uh. Info says it works on my iPhone. It did download and launch but every reply from every assistant is a small blank gray chat bubble. I tried using both voice dictation and typing manually getting the same error. I don’t know if it’s not replying at all or it is replying but the reply isn’t displayed. I tried to quit and restart but that didn’t fix the issue. so sadly, ChatbotAssistantAI is worthless to me having that issue.

Got it as part if App Santa but ChatbotAssistantAI is broken and chat does not work. It claims to allow different AI models but there is no response when chat messages are inputed.

First, the error message should’ve said, “Something when wrongly.”

Secondly, why am I getting this error for everything I type into ChatbotAssistantAI? Is there some step I am missing? I created a random API key as suggested. Mine was “boobyprize”. Now, do I need to register that with ChatGPT or other server to use ChatbotAssistantAI’s features? Confused.

Got the lifetime version when I asked a question it only gave a small little chat bubble without any response whatsoever. This is a scam. It does not work or produce any response.

After installing and trying to use ChatbotAssistantAI for a few minutes, I found that it just doesn't work at all. I had high hopes for ChatbotAssistantAI but what’s the point of having it? If nothing works at all. Avoid!!!

None of the application's functions work properly, and no responses are given to requests.

The chat and photo models work for some time (mostly 2-4 minutes) and then stop working. It all looks like the application is dead. I dont understand, whether it is ok or not.
Besides there are no instructions, FAQs etc

Downloaded ChatbotAssistantAI after being recommended. Apple Store shows a $0 Lifetime subscription but it’s missing entirely from ChatbotAssistantAI .

I got this to try it. Unfortunately I couldn’t get anything to work at all even using suggestions from ChatbotAssistantAI . Even the generating a photo does not work. Delete app due to this problem

no matter what prompts you wrote in the description, doesn't work when you start new conversation.

Requires Paid HatGPT Plus or you can’t use it. Since I do not have paid ChatGPT I don’t really ChatbotAssistantAI.

I see a few negative comments posted. ChatbotAssistantAI works as intended, I purchased the lifetime option and use my own API key. ChatbotAssistantAI is installed on my Mac, iPhone and iPad. My chats sync across devices, and I can copy text in say preview, right click and use the text as an input to a prompt.

I had some previous concerns which were timely addressed by the developer.

I just wanted to play around with the AI image generator for fun, but each time I tried it said “something went wrong” . I think it is because my keyboard is not fully enabled- when I went to apple to enable it said doing so would give access to not only things I wrote within ChatbotAssistantAI , but anything I had ever written in the past using my keyboard. Is there a way to allow access only when using ChatbotAssistantAI , solely to generate images?

Love the Mac integration keep up the good work. Sending to my friends.
