Als diese App-Nutzer der ersten Stunde habe ich zunächst etwas Eingewöhnung gebraucht - und so ganz wunschlos bin ich auch noch nicht (Bilder in der Artikelliste würde ich gern links platzieren können. Ich hätte gern einen Marker, der klar visuell kennzeichnet, ab welchem Eintrag die neuen Feeds beginnen. Und ich würde das Segment der neu abgerufenen Artikel gern so sortieren können, dass neueste bei Aufwärtsscrollen zuerst angezeigt werden). Am Ende liegt hier aber ein beeindruckendes Stück Software vor, welche das Feederlebnis wunderbar aufs nächste Level hebt.
Astreines digitales Design, schlank und schick - eine wahre Augenweide. Super funktional. Und Anpassungsmöglichkeiten der Schriftgrössen wie bei diese App Classic werden sicher noch nachgereicht.
Die schlanken 10€ pro Jahr zahle ich dem Entwickler liebend gern. Danke für das neue diese App!

Reeder läuft super flüssig und angenehm. Meine Feeds habe ich problemlos importieren können. Und die YouTube Integration ist einfach nur sensationell! Richtig guter Job und für lachhafte 10 Euro im Jahr ein absoluter No Brainer. Danke an den Entwickler!

Reeder gefällt mir sehr gut und kombiniert die meisten (für mich) relevanten Quellen. Super wäre, wenn noch Threads & Instagram dazu kommen würde.

Ohne die Möglichkeit, die Feeds in Ordner zu strukturieren, ist Reeder für mich nicht nutzbar. Vielleicht kommt das ja noch, weiß man aber nicht und muss sich auf das verlassen, was der Entwickler schreibt. Für eine halbfertige App bin ich nicht bereit, etwas zu zahlen, ansonsten schon.

I like the idea of this unified timeline and syncing between devices. However I’m not able to find an option to connect my Feedbin account. I only see options for social networks. I also did not find an option to import my content from (what’s now called) diese App Classic. In diese App Classic I also have my feeds organized in folders based on topics. E.g. for checking just local news or just tech news. Now everything is mixed up and I can’t find a way to categorize sources. Even on Twitter I have different timelines for different topics.
But I understand that it’s early days for this app. I’ll check back in a few month and see if some features made their way into this new app. Until then, I’ll stick to diese App Classic.

I have used multiple versions of diese App before and welcomed this new version. An annual cost of 10€/y seems fair.
Sadly, a few hours of testing showed that some functionalities crucial for my usage were missing in comparison to the earlier versions:
- No Read/Unread stati. I am a completionist and want to achieve a clean „inbox“ of new reading items; no such indicator was apparent when viewing items or scrolling through the feed.
- No Feedly integration. This prevents me from using the same feeds and stati on both my Windows PC and my iOS devices. The OPML import is fine for a fresh start but would still force me to renew my current reading habits.
- Fewer options. A strength of earlier versions was the ability to set up the diese App interface in very specific ways. Most of those are missing now except the Bionic Reading functionality that I still enjoy.
Overall, I see this as a step from traditional RSS functionalities towards the functionalities of Social Media platforms. It might be a welcome change to many users but is not the way I want to consume news if it can be prevented.
Based on this, I will happily continue to use diese App Classic and will review the new diese App. at a later date if it gets closer to my preferred way of RSS consumption.

This is not an "RSS Reader" anymore. It's more like an attempt to introduce Facebook-style doom-scrolling.
The biggest issue? There are no more read/unread article indicators, which is a fundamental feature for an RSS reader.
Support for external RSS syncing services like Feedly is gone (it's not a reason for 2/5, I like iCloud-based database).
Subscription? Ok, it's not a problem either.
What's really frustrating is that I can't even change the article font, and I dislike the default one (which is standart for Safari Reader mode if I am not mistaken).
I subscribed to diese App sub, used this app for two minutes, and immediately requested a refund.
It's really disappointing.

The new approach has potential but I'm not fully convinced yet. diese App always has been the app that does one thing but did it best: RSS feeds. Now it tries to do it all but is hitting the limits of what'a possible for some services which can lead to doing it not very well. YouTube is a good example of that: Promising approach but it looks like videos are limited to 720p and thus barely watchable within the app.

Hey. I just purchased one year. No test week to see the whole „features“ in action? No custom icons, no custom view for the „Home“ tab - like only headlines. No icon indicator if the background check fetched new stuff to read/see? I really hope this get‘s fast better. Won‘t delete diese App classic so I can go back to it. Sadly.
