🏷️ Über: The Klappið app is an official Public transportation payment app, made for Strætó Iceland (the Administrative body for public transportation in the capital area of Iceland). The purpose of the app is to provide payment possibilities of various sorts in public transportation, including single tickets and period passes (such as monthly or yearly passes) for the citizens and guests of Reykjavík.
I bought two single use tickets and now it appears I can just activate both in the same time.. which is not what I want and is a waste of money. The options for tickets are so limited also, just a one time use or a monthly or yearly ticket. What about a day pass, a week pass, a ten-time ticket and stuff like that?
I cannot register a credit card. I tried several - without success. The process stalls infinitely. So the app is useless to me because i wanted to buy tickets with that.
absolutely horrible experience for us as tourists. my credit card did not work with the app and my friend couldn't even open the app on her phone since it didn't even let her create an account with her phone number/email. i wish you could pay as you go just as it works out of the reykjavik area.

App does not accept my credit card, nor does it send an SMS confirmation code to my phone.
Credit cart is the only form of payment.
Planner shows wrong destination and busses. Routing to REY Airport should be not that difficult.
Hint: use Apple Maps, this works perfect.
Buying a ticket with credit card did work. At least for this it‘s helpful
