SoundID for enabled headphones Erfahrungen und Bewertung

Ich würde mir wünschen, dass die neutrale Target Response, die Sonarworks anstrebt, und wie und warum sie ausgewählt, transparent erklärt wird, z.B. in einem Blogpost. (An der Personalisierung habe ich kein Interesse, ich will nur neutralen Klang.)
Apple silicon Support für den Mac fehlt.

Warum bietet man eine App an, die von IOS und Airpods nicht sinnvoll zu nutzen ist. Was soll ich mit einer App, die mir zeigt, wie es klingen könnte? Ich kann jedenfalls damit nichts anfangen. Vielleicht versucht ja mal jemand mit Apple zusammen zu arbeiten, statt nur immer nur zu kritisieren.

Gleich zu Beginn: SoundID diese App ist eine Katastrophe bzgl. Stabilität und Bedienung und Funktion.
-Zum Verwenden SoundID soll ich meine E-Mail Adresse angeben. Das finde ich nicht gut. Ich möchte nur den Kopfhörer einstellen und keine Werbemails bekommen!
-Mehrmals verbindet sie sich nicht mit den TWS/1. Man muss mehrfach auf Connect drücken.
-Das Laden neuer Firmware hat zig Versuche und nach vielen Abbrüchen mehrere Stunden gedauert.
-SoundID bleibt oft hängen. Sie reagiert nicht auf das Drücken der Buttons.
-SoundID geht manchmal zu und beendet.
-Nach dem Öffnen SoundID erscheint das Logo und diese App für 20 bis 30s und es passiert nichts. Ich beende SoundID über das iOS System und starte sie neu.
-Man muss immer Connect drücken. Warum verbindet sich SoundID nicht selber?
-Den Hörtest konnte ich nicht durchführen, weil schon beim dritten und vierten Punkt des Hörtestes die Bestätigungstaste dunkel war und ich die nicht drücken konnte, als ich etwas hörte. Ich habe dann nach 5 Versuchen abgebrochen.
-Wenn ich den EQ ändern möchte, wird die laufende Musik ausgeschaltet! Wie soll ich den EQ lautlos einstellen, wenn ich nicht sofort nach Änderung eines EQ Parameters eine Änderung am Ton feststellen kann? Ich muss den EQ stumm ohne Ton einstellen. Dann das Menü verlassen. Dann werden die Daten an den TWS/1 gesendet. Das dauert 30s. Dann muss ich aus dem Menü raus und in das Menü Device. Dort muss ich den EQ auf "On" stellen. Das alles ist in SoundID in unterschiedlichen Untermenüs verteilt. Dann muss ich die Musik starten. Das ist alles mehr als umständlich und sehr mühsam. Dann stelle ich fest, dass ich db oder Hz korrigieren möchte und muss alles nochmal machen. Ich habe das nun in den letzten drei Abenden über je 2h versucht. Dabei ist SoundID oft hängen geblieben. Ich bin nicht sehr weit gekommen. Ohne EQ hört sich der TWS/1 für mich zu flach an. Wie soll ich den EQ ohne Ton einstellen?

Wenn man das Menü EQ öffnet steht der aktive Punkt z.B. auf 40Hz, aber der Button des waagrechten Schiebereglers unten steht ganz links. Man muss erst etwas ändern, damit dieser Schieberegler den aktuellen Wert darstellt.

Ich finde das Menü zum Einstellen des EQ nicht gut. Schieberegler für jede Frequenz finde ich übersichtlicher und einfacher zu bedienen. Das Menü ist sehr fummelig. Das iPhone hat einen Touch Bildschirm, wo man um einen Punkt senkrecht (dB) oder waagerecht (Hz) zu verschieben keine Schieberegler oder Pfeiltasten braucht, sondern diesen Arbeitspunkt einfach antippt und ihn einfach verschiebt. Ganz einfach mit der Fingerspitze den Punkt greifen und nach oben und unten für die db und nach rechts und links für die Hz schieben!

4 Sterne gibt es weil SoundID super hochwertig gemacht ist und ich mit anderen Sonarworks Produkten wie reference 4 extrem zufrieden bin. Aber SoundID braucht dringend noch ein paar Erweiterungen. Apple Musik Support sollte auf jeden Fall eingeführt werden, denn ohne is SoundID für viele einfach nicht nutzbar (halt nur für Spotify premium Nutzer) Außerdem eine Funktion Kopfhörer anzufragen oder etwas ähnliches, da es zwar viele gibt aber halt dann noch nicht alle. Wie schon gesagt 4 Sterne, da zu sehen ist, auf was für einem hohen Standard sie sich bewegt.

Well it kinda works? It’s cool to try and get better sound out of your headphones but it would only be really useful if I could apply the Profile as a global EQ on my iPhone.
As it is now it is just a nice toy.

Es fehlen noch etliche Kopfhörer, keine Möglichkeit diese zu melden.
Der Hörtest funktioniert leider nicht.

I own the expensive creator‘s version (Reference with DAW plugin). I was very happy to see the technology extending to portable devices allowing calibrated headphone playback with the app True-Fi. While I was dreaming about True-Fi future versions importing my own calibrations from Reference studio software for simple playback in the studio (even from iOS devices) or even using the technology for having my car audio experience calibrated - the opposite happened. A company with a great product pulled the plug on extending their stuff to the mobile world. They‘ve shut down Tru-Fi and replaced it with something not worth calling it a replacement: Sound ID. No music playback, just a cheap audio flavor preference selector for some money making subscription business plan promising to transfer your audio listening flavor to your computer. Nothing more. No matter how often they will respond to these critics by stating some future ideas about playback options - they have shut down providing their excellent Reference technology for mobile device playback. Very poor decision. Sound ID won‘t succeed.

To be able to use the app you need to sign in to donations which I’ve tried but I can’t sign in to my account. Also tried to sign in via Apple and google but nothing worked. All I get is a loading circle which is stuck and doesn’t move. The reference software works so well, how can a mobile app be the whole opposite from that?

Would be nice to be able to insert the correction into aum and all the other iOS music apps. It does not make sense listening with sound Id but not having the corrected sound when making music.

But good for everybody with Spotify who just wants to listen to music.

Thank you for the response. It would be very cool because I believe most musicians use there iPad for listening and watching as well as creating and recording music. The problem is if I use sonarworks it would be nice to get corrected results if I jam as well as listening to Spotify or watching something from YouTube.
Now it’s only possible to get corrected audio using Spotify? Or are there other apps supported?

Also it would be extremely cool if you would develop a hardware device for correcting!

This is just a testing device. No connection to whatever audio streaming app is possible. The app is just a testing device.
Users are not clients, but participants in a product development field study. This ist kept rather cloudy in the description of the app. I listen to spotify every day on my mobile devices. And I can absolutely not use my profile while listening on these....I can just listen to some horrible Demo-Songs, which intend to convince me of the usefulness of a profile I can‘t use in any reasonable way. Well If I would sit before my Computer, listening to spotify.....I would maybe get a Beta software of some kind, probably only until the product is distributed for money. But I don‘t listen to spotify on my Computer......So I‘m not trying it out.
So: If You don‘t want to waste Your time, don‘t download.

Forced registration, the actual benefit of the app is never properly explained (data mining?), in the end it only works with Spotify (never mentioned beforehand), and the desktop app that it mentions at the end doesn’t even exist. Absolute rubbish the whole way through.
