Totally useless app

Why do they publish and advertise this app? It has no functionality, it doesn’t work, it’s absolutely useless.
I was hoping to be able to use the AirPods (with noise cancelling) with the onboard entertainment.
Connecting the app with the seat works. I allowed syncing and searching the local network, but the app remains empty. Only searching for songs works (it finds the albums from the onboard entertainment system), but that’s it. You can’t open or play them. Movies are not even found via search (which is the only option within this totally empty app).
The most basic flight data (destination and time remaining?) are displayed, but that’s it.
Very poor app design and functionality.

Basically the idea is great to stream movies from the entertainment program in the plane on your iPad.
But it does not work, audio is playing on the iPad, video not.
Therefor it is just useless.
