I think it would be great if you could see the current balance on the account directly and also see the outstanding payments. At the moment this is very confusing.

Also, I would like to see if I update my account balances below the time of my update. At the moment there is a date I can't assign.

I would also like to have push notifications to issues of my cards.

Compared to neo banks such as Revolut, this app is a joke. Embarrassing that one of the largest banks in the UK is so technologically unsophisticated. Many of the functions are not available within the app. Instead, you will be redirected to the web browser which uses antic verification technologies such as security codes that can oddly be generated only when you log out of the HSBC app.

The HSBC app is suffering from underinvestment. The design is horrible. It’s not intuitive. Currency accounts not available on mobile, only online. Trying to speak to an agent involves speaking with a poorly designed chatbot which goes in circles.

Always demanding to download a new iOS, which my device cannot. The App has stopped working now.

Completely non-functional app that is far from user friendly. By far the worst banking app I have had to use

Just tried to login to my account with a new Validation code because I have a new phone but all I get is „Something went wrong. Please try again later“.

Not progression. Why the UK arm has not simply re-used the previous international version of the app is beyond me. The new app is cumbersome and offers less functionality.

Overall a decent banking app but creating a new payee is buggy:
1. You can’t paste the payee name from gmail for example.
2. You get asked the payee account type (business or personal) but the selection button has no options (no yes or no is displayed) so it is not obvious what you are selecting.

Quick and simple, what more can you want?!

For someone on the go a lot the App is very useful!

Im really flashed by the HSBC app as it’s eventually the one that omits any enigmatic dialogues. Reduced richte essentials and really, really easy to understand. Well done, chaps
