Map allows you to search architecture works by their geographic location and relate them with your own position; list shows buildings sorted by proximity, date, or alphabetically.
Inside each ArchiMap, several ArchiRoutes offer themed selections of buildings centered on an architectural movement, a prominent author or a specially interesting area to visit, pointing out the architectural hot spots.
ArchiMaps has been developed by architects, and the compilation of works is made up by experts on architectural history, based on reliable and credited sources.
Each of our maps is focused on a certain author, city or region, and features up to 300 architecture works.
ArchiMaps does not focus only on modern or contemporary architecture, but on every style and historical period.
We hope ArchiMaps would be useful in your next travel, study trip, or just for learning more about the architecture of your city.
Buildings displayed on the app can be filtered by historical period, main function, or through a search field.
For a better control of the displayed info and keeping a coherent and balanced whole inside each map, the app does not accept user-generated content, although proposals and suggestions are welcome.
A favorites tool is also available, allowing you to save a selection of preferred works for later visit or consult.
Each map spans from the earlier relevant buildings present on the site, to the most recent works.
From both of them, you can access a facts screen of each architecture work.
Our database is in continuous expansion: we are always developing new maps, updating existing ones or adding new ArchiRoutes.
ArchiMaps is the definitive architecture guide.
Photographs can also be submitted by users through a direct access from the building facts screen.
