I read your paper almost every day and find it extremely well-informed, transparent, critical and entertaining.
I criticized your slogan, DEMOCRACY DIES IN DARKNESS, the meaning of which you have an obligation to explain to your readers. I think its is inappropriate, should be dropped in favour of a more constructive note.

Continually reloads the articles. They must have to many functions and measurement bots running in the background. I'm lucky to read the first two sentences before it reloads.
When you start the app it takes longer then other news apps to load. When you click on an a headline to read the article it takes forever to open and even worse to top it off you get a failure warning and it blacks out and reloads. And reloads again. And again...
Their app has so many things running in the background that my iPad can't keep up with all their tracking that it constantly reloads. To counter this I will try emailing myself the article so I can at least read it later, but that doesn't always function well with opening the email at the same time their app is open.
Email function has less support over the last months. Finally,I am a paid subscriber and there is no function to leave comments.
In conclusion, I would tell me friends not to subscribe to them. I only gave two stars because of the excellent journalism which deserves all five stars but the crappy app only should receive one star.

Just updated the app and now it’s no longer working in dark mode although everything on my iPhone is set up that way. I find it so much easier to read. Love the content so I hope this isn’t a problem with the app but rather me being too stupid to figure it out...

I am disappointed from the poor Read-Aloud functionality that is less natural than Google's Read-Aloud-Service, which could be used instead. I guess there would also be other options.

I have a premium subscription without tracking and ads. The app still displays ads and keeps tracking me.
//Edit in response to dev comment about there being ads in all WP apps/adfree only on website: Thanks for your response. Oddly enough the other WP app does not display any ads once I am logged in. It is only this, the classic app, not respecting my subscription.

Great app of a fantastic newspaper. But - and this is bummer! - there is no way to toggle between lightmode and darkmode exept changing the whole device. I want to be able to toggle the app to light mode, even if my device is set to dark mode.
