Sequel Media Tracker Erfahrungen und Bewertung

Definetly would pay the full prize if there was a translation?

SequelMediaTracker überzeugt durch ihre Benutzerfreundlichkeit, klare UI und umfangreichen Funktionen. Die Trakt-Anbindung und Vorschläge sind besonders nützlich. Leider erscheint der Jahrespreis von 19,99€ etwas hoch. Eine deutsche Übersetzung würde das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis verbessern und SequelMediaTracker noch attraktiver machen.

Für Serien und Filme nutzen wahrscheinlich die meisten eine App mit Trakt-Sync wie Sofa Time bzw. FilmNoir. Da Trakt aber die Listen immer weiter einschränkt (derzeit 1.000 Einträge auf der Watchlist für neue Konten und 2.000 für alte Konten, sowie 5 Listen für neue Konten und 10 Listen für alte Konten) werden Alternativen mit iCloud Sync immer interessanter. Sequel macht dabei einen guten Eindruck und die Kombination mit Büchern und Hörbüchern ist ebenfalls super, da es eine weitere App einsparen kann.

Folgende Verbesserungswünsche bestehen noch:

1) Für den Fall, dass Sequel irgendwann nicht mehr weiter entwickelt werden sollte, wäre ein Export hilfreich. Filme und Serien könnten per Trakt übertragen werden, aber wie sieht es bei den anderen Elementen (Bücher/Hörbücher) aus?
2) Aktuell noch keine deutsche Übersetzung
3) Eine Aktivitätsübersicht/Historie fehlt, also eine Art Logbuch / Statistik…
4) IMDb Bewertungen sind nicht integriert
5) Man kann Schauspielern nicht folgen, um automatisch über neue Filme benachrichtigt zu werden
6) Man kann sich nicht alle Hörbücher auf einmal - ohne Watchlist - anzeigen lassen kann
7) Geteilte „Collections“ wären super hilfreich
8) Film-Genres zur Selektierung sind aktuell nicht integriert, obwohl sie bei den Filmdetails angezeigt werden und somit vorhanden wären; auch über die Suche nicht auffindbar
9) Neben Filmen, Serien, Videospielen, Büchern und Hörbüchern wären weitere Kategorien wünschenswert, wie z.B. Apps aus dem AppStore oder gar individuellen Kategorien (Wein, Tütensuppen, …). Ggf. sogar eine Sammlung von den Filmnotizen/Zitaten
10) Automatische Empfehlungen/Verknüpfungen, also ähnlicher Filmtitel als Vorschlag in der Detailansicht wären hilfreich. Bei den Hörbüchern sieht man zumindest bereits die anderen Hörbücher des Autors.
11) Ein einfacher Listen-Export für eine „Collection“ als Text, um Empfehlungen per Mail oder Messenger schnell weiterleiten zu können fehlt noch
12) Man kann einen Eintrag bislang nicht als mehrfach konsumiert eintragen

The app is really beautifully crafted and it works just great! But the price of a hundred bucks is just way too expensive (subscription models do not count since they are a scam, so this is the only option for premium). The price for such an simple quality of life app should be at max 30€, and I would love to pay that.

I'm not using it much for movies or games, except for reminding me on days new games are released. Mostly I'm using it for tracking what I [want to] watch. I tried many other ones, including trakt, with which this app syncs my data. I found Sequel to be the best app that ticked most of the boxes for my habits, especially for navigation.

Even at it’s young age, this app is polished, beautifully designed and has a comprehensive database for all of the 5 media types it offers. Its fluff free, has no social-media-like comments and friending systems, and it just works!

Very excited to keep using the app and keep seeing updates. Kudos to you dev!

Sequel is incredibly well made and I love it!

The only thing that I feel could be improved is the search field, as it usually does not show results that actually match my input, letter by letter, at the top of the list.

This kind of tracker app is only good if you use it and the Trakt integration as well as other features make this app easy to consistently use.

App has awesome usability and design. If only music album tracking was added, the app would be perfect. Still love it!

SequelMediaTracker ist eine sehr schöne Alternative zu anderen Trackern, wie Trakt.tv. Das Design ist sehr gelungen und SequelMediaTracker ist toll zu bedienen. Das UI ist flüssig und sehr schön an iOS angepasst. Ich würde mir für die Zukunft noch eine Version für Apple TV und Apple Watch wünschen.
