Mir gefällt die deutsche App namens AUDICLE viel besser.

App is virtually unusable, will have to cancel subscription unfortunately

I am here to listen to the LRB. The voices are wonderful. I just finished chapter two of “The Tower,” and I can see the worth of this app. It is promising but has a long way to go. Mainly, the user experience is unreliable because articles that I thought were downloaded were not and I was surprised to find out at times when I was offline and the last thing I wanted is to go online. Offline is such a great experience, promising solitude and better understanding of the content, but Audm right now cannot help me achieve it. Audm is also slow because every time I open it it has to check for stuff. My internet is ADSL 12mb, so it’s vexing to have to wait for it to fetch new articles while the only thing I want is to go straight to my downloaded articles and hit play. Another feature is still missing: I don’t wanna listen to any other magazine or newspaper apart from LRB in order to reduce clutter and information pollution (don’t get me wrong. All the other publications maybe worth their salt, but I wouldn’t want to have all 20+ of them fly at my face, goodness!). Could you please add a feature that makes it possible to directly open the app into a specific magazine? Finally, a podcast format could have delivered far superior results, especially for me since I don’t use the app to follow with the text, although I can imagine many users finding this very useful. I also understand the need for the in-app subscriptions which may be unavailable in podcast format. But could you please make this like a podcast thing: fast and reliable? Last, could you please add a dark theme? Thank you and I am looking forwards to re-visiting my experience review in one or two months. I would really love to give you 5 stars!
