I’ve been using this app for years and bought it under the old name (MentalCase) for my mac and I use it on my iPad and iPhone. From the start, I was disappointed that it didn’t have a true spaced repetition mode (for a good exemple, take Brainscape, which is just excellent). In this app, you only have a right or wrong mode, while in a true spaced repetition app you have somewhere between 4 and 5 choices (1 = Don’t know it at all, 5= Know it perfectly). This system is superior, since it will sort your learning material into five heaps, the lower the number, the more the cards from that heap will reappear quickly. So basically, I’ve been waiting for this system to arrive for years now. I’d also prefer the Brainscape interface that’s way more efficient to work quickly through the cards. So why am I not on Brainscape ? Well, the answer is simple, they don’t have the same efficient card creation system (on the mac). So creating cards is ten times more efficient than on Brainscape. Which is why I’m still on this app... for the moment. Until an app comes along that finally is the perfect marriage between the two.
