Saying you have a South Korean car (even though it is actually Japanese) does not make it less racist. Saying you did charity work is an excuse not an apology. Telling people to “go on vacation in North Korea for the next 20 years” in a direct reference to Nazi saying they sent Jews and Gays “to vacation” when they were sending people to concentration camps, which they do have in North Korea. Stop shielding behind the fact that it was “humour”and the usual sarcasm of the host, racism is not funny and not tolerated anymore in our age and year. Stop searching for excuses, stop apologising to having hurt the teenage fangirls feelings and that we all misunderstood and misinterpreted what was said and the heinous and hateful tone used toward a group of artists that tried to bring confort, positive energy into this world. You should apologise directly to THE CONCERNED PARTY not the people calling you out on your BS non apology. We are not teenage girls, we are not killing the time, the ARMY fandom if you had done your research is mainly composed in its vast majority of people above their 30’s from all races, gender, religions, sexual identity, all work fields and social background. We have ALWAYS fought against racism and have raised 1 million $ in just 24hours for Black Lives Mater, we have always invested large amounts of money in charities and fought toward ignorance, bigotry, bullying. We all share the same justice values. We do not care about the members of tge group being handsome or cute, we care about their message, their positivity, their good influence in the world. This comes at a time were the abuse, verbal and physical, and assault of Asian people come at a huge rise. They have always faced racism but times and mentality must change this is neither an opinion nor a matter of humour. Saying that the people calling you out are just disgruntled teenage fangirls is sexist, dismissive, patronising and frankly just disgusting. A cheap way to get out of a huge controversy causing outrage all over the world.
