Permet d’apprendre des mots de vocabulaire dans des contextes très différents contrairement à un traducteur anglais-français. Je réécrirai un commentaire dans un mois pour vous dire si ça a marché. Je conseille pour l’instant.

That's a good one but on my Ipad 2 i can't add a word to one of my lists. Is that a bug ?

Je fais des études pour devenir prof d’anglais et Vocabularycom est tellement bien faite que j’en aurais presque peur qu’elle détruise mon futur métier ! C’est vraiment super bien fait. Ils nous proposent d’apprendre du vocabulaire de la meilleure façon imaginable, et en plus les définitions sont rédigées avec humour! Ça vaut vraiment le coup. ( Écoutez quand même vos profs 😏)

Je partage l'avis des commentaires précédents. C'est excellent, intuitif, bien foutu. Mon vocabulaire anglais s'agrandit sans disparaître la seconde d'après (vous verrez, ils nous font retenir les mots vus précédemment). Bravo, ça va dans le bon sens :)

En achetant Vocabularycom, je m’attendais à ce qu’elle soit aussi grandiose que le site du même nom (qui est par ailleurs gratuit ...).
Quelle ne fut pas ma surprise lorsque je me suis rendu compte que Vocabularycom n’avait pas été mise à jour par les développeurs depuis + de 5 ans et qu’elle n’était donc pas adaptée aux derniers iPhones.
Seulement, il n’y a pas que ça qui n’allait pas...
Vous voulez chercher une liste de vocabulaire ? Cherchez bien, vous n’aurez qu’un seul essai, sous peine de devoir relancer Vocabularycom. De plus, il n’y a presqu’aucune illustration dans Vocabularycom, que ce soit pour distinguer les listes, ou bien pour les mots eux-mêmes.
Bref, si je n’ai qu’un conseil à vous donner, contentez-vous du site web.

La date de naissance est fixée à la date du jour, impossible de changer la date: le calendrier apparaît une fraction de seconde et disparaît... Bref, mes parents n'ayant pas d'email, et n'étant pas intéressé par le vocabulaire de la tranche nouveau né à 3 ans, Vocabularycom est inutilisable en l'état, puisque on ne peut pas l'utiliser sans avoir un compte: une perte de temps pour rien.

This app is a wonderful way to expand your vocabulary. The way words are presented in various contexts is very effective, though some questions are sometimes hard to figure out. The dictionary, with its thousands of excerpts, is great to learn how exactly the words are used within a definite context. I would just advise non-native speakers to be wary though: the app won't propose you to learn what the authors consider ‘standard English’, so it is not the app you need if you try to learn slang (it’s rated PG, so no coarse words here) or even colloquial English. But otherwise, this is really rad.

Easy to use, very we'll written and developed. It even becomes addictive at some point ! I learn ver easily and a lot. I love the fact there is always pronunciation (maybe add UK accent ?). App full of examples and synonyms. So useful and worth the few euros I put in ! Good job keep it up.

I've known this website since 3 years now, and I really considered it intuitive, rich and very pedagogic from the very start. I'm so pleased that it's finally on iPhone and I highly encourage the purchase that is totally worth it.

As far as I am aware this is the best app to learn new vocabulary. It makes the usually tedious task of learning vocabulary quite fun with its wide range of exercises and catchy definitions. In addition to that, its accuracy in predicting which words are known or unknown is strikingly good. Go for it!

I love the way they explain the words, very funny and original, lots of humor. I adore this app because it's so simple to undearstand

Excellent application and delightful way to learn and improve your vocabulary based on a great idea I've already enjoyed on the website and now got mobile! The technique employed in this application as on the website to learn and master new words and meanings is genius and does use the advantage of technology to one's knowledge. Bravo!
