I wad just minding my business when suddenly i see the peekaboo app on my phone ofc i didn’t remember installing it do yep its weird( i give one star for the friends i made)

I’ve never seen an app go from “flawed cute” to utter pointlessness. Here’s how things went down the drain: I too got an email saying I now had acces to an app I didn’t recall requesting or preordering, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt on this. However, it’s a good example of an unfinished product: - there are no notifications for incoming messages (fixed?) - no settings whatsoever - unclear how to open the “profile” of a “friend” from the chat list (fixed), if at all possible - I have to type replies blind because in black letters on a very dark gray background (fixed) - every “profile” has a US flag followed by the actual country masquerading as a 2-letter US state code (changed: see below) - errors on the displayed age? lots of “profiles” of sometimes well under 18yos who don’t look that young … jailbait generator? The support email address seems outdated or otherwise out of order. The US flag issue has been fixed, but now every profile I see has a French flag AND country code. I did like how I saw profiles from all over the world so this is a regression! An update the next day fixed *that* issue, but introduced a new “feature”: I am now seeing only profiles that are within 5 years of my own age. That’s way too restrictive and basically makes the app useless for me at the moment, esp. since it is now stuck on the last, empty profile without even the possibility to go backwards. Replying or reacting to a given message is no longer possible either. Neither of these has been addressed since a good number of updates. They did have the balls to introduce a paying feature (to “get more messages”) behind a frigging big button that obscures part of the message list. UPDATE: the last screen issue seemed fixed for me after an update with “UX/UI improvements”. Instead, I got the same 2 profiles at least 6x before there’s a cycle back effect (oohhh, UX!). Blocking them has no effect until after you restart the app, apparently - and now I’m back to a black screen. Several updates later all this has still not been addressed, and it also seems you can receive only a single mesage because I’m not getting any answers (I am getting contacted by 17yos though, who apparently can see my profile). I do get notifications about having new messages but those are false alarms.
UPDATE 2 : I now have a user in my profile who doesn’t have the thingy to report/block him … new paying feauture ???

Pour moi je trouve que Peekaboomakenewfriends n’est pas fini: il n’y a pas de bio, pas de hashtag. Rien. Elle est tellement ennuyante que je me demande pourquoi je l’ai installée. J’aurais aimé avoir des onglets « intérêts » pour pouvoir sélectionner ce que l’on aime. Bref. Bien pour passer un peu le temps mais sans plus.
