I am a premium subscriber because I value the quality of FT content. The performance of the App which I access on my iPhone is far more variable. I have a physical U.K. sim and a virtual French sim, as I live in France. The digital content on the FT App frequently fails to update or updates the headlines but does not allow access to the underlying articles. Sometimes this is cured by powering down and powering up again, sometimes not. The FT help Chat line has been helpful in resolving some instances but the frequency implies a problem with the design.
I also have the Guardian App. The premium content costs a fraction of the FT. I rarely have a problem with that App although I access it in the same way.
