An app that gives you wrong information is useless! But what can one expect from this company???

The forecast seems to be useless. The app states stage 2 for the next two days even so Eskom has already confirmed stage 4 for the next two days.

Also the app is several minutes late. An area is already on load shedding when the app still displays currently not load shedding.

Only installed the app today. Let's see how useful it might become. Right now a Google search gives more accurate and timely information.

On day 2 of using the app the forecast section has partly caught up with Eskom's predictions, was felt generally still way to positive in comparison with general media consent.

Also display of upcoming load shedding schedule for the day was simply false. While it was currently at stage 2 it already notified of a change to state 4 from 9am but it displayed upcoming load shedding for certain areas only on the current stage and the actual stage it would be on.

I will keep on trying but so far it's just to inaccurate and it's more accurate to look elsewhere. Pity.

Who needs an app whose forecast for the coming days is always green or stage 1, when on the day a stage 2 is declared every day with load shedding taking place in the evening? I may as well throw dices, ask a medicine man or read in tarot cards to predict load shedding. Been using the app now for 2 weeks and the predictability of load shedding is more than poor. Who needs a weather app that forecasts sunshine or light cloud cover when the actual weather is overcast with a high chance of rain??? It's a piece of junk, just like Eskom who can't get their act together and gives South Africa the reputation of becoming a banana republic. Shame!

It’s bad enough that we have to live with load shedding again but the app makes it even worse. Yesterday the app told us there will be load shedding but it wasn’t and today the app showed as “green light” (no load shedding) and suddenly the electricity was gone. If the app isn’t hundred percent reliable it is absolutely useless. How difficult can it be to feed this app with the correct data which must be there at Eskom. But we should not be surprised about anything that comes from this company

⚠️💡This app was made by an independent, private developer who stepped in when Eskom would not come through with an official app and only publish loadshedding schedules as completely unreadable screenshots on Twitter. This app is awesome. If you want to complain that load shedding is terrible, tell that to Eskom. If you feel personally violated because some features is missing, tell Eskom to make their own app.

The App does what it should. It could have a bit of a better overview.

The most amassing thing is that Eskom develops a app like this instead of solving the problem.

The app informs you one hour before load shedding starts with a high accuracy.
Would like to have back the graphic which shows the current capacity vs demand.

This is an very useful App.
It is very accurate, the only problem is you need to close the app completely sometimes to update it!
I hate loadsheding, but this app makes me very prepared.

In the unstable power supply environment good information is the only way to manage our lives

Generally a good app with accurate info but due to an increasing complex environment of different Eskom stages, which change frequently and quickly, plus the different regional zones in which different time schedules apply, it is a complicated environment that a lot of people can’t follow. So my suggestion would be to add a simple 3-5 day Power Out schedule in which only the actual Power Out time for each particular zone is shown together with a reminder option, that can be sent to the user 15min before Power Out applies, if the user so wishes. That would not be hard to do and it would remove the user‘s need to calculate of the Power Out times based on the applicable Stage times and Zones. It could also be used to add info about each user, which is valuable to the developer.

This app is essential if you live in SA and have to deal with black outs! Timely updates, up2date info, easy to know what’s happening and what’s coming at you
The servers are a little slow occasionally, but that’s ok

We use the app several times a day to keep up with bad service from ESKOM.
Without it it would be a night mare as there is no correct information be found anywhere else.

Every morning we start into our day with diese App checking when our area will be affected by loadshedding. The information provided by diese App is very accurate but can‘t be perfect due to Eskom‘s chaos. Usually the app quickly reacts and informs about unplanned blackouts by Eskom. diese App works well with Apple iPhones. Thumbs up!

This app is a lifesaver in trying to figure out when which load shedding schedule applies to which area. It’s impossible to navigate Eskoms constantly changing schedules especially as the stages change so quickly and sometimes twice a day. Thank you to the app developers for navigating this minefield of information
