offline app offers a great map and huge amount of detailed places of interest
for planning your next safari.
• A detailed guide with the following categories: Places (cities, towns, etc), Attractions & Activities, Parks, Scenic, Camps, Lodging, Food & Drink, Fuel, Shopping, Services and More (miscellaneous points of interest).
Apart from the categories already mentioned, points of interest will have associated information such as a description, contacts details, facilities and activities and some places will have photos.
The app will display a map of the country or region and allow you to switch on different categories of points of interest.
The guide information is linked to a location on the map and will display as a pin on the map for you to know where it is in reference to where you are.
The app contains samples of the map and guide information, which can be upgraded to full country maps and guides.
It also shows you all protected areas such as national parks and game reserves together with relevant background data such as rivers, mountains and major attractions.

It contains place names like cities, towns and villages together with a detailed road and track network.
The search functionality is linked to the guide categories.
Otherwise, if you know the name of a campsite, enter it into the search block and relevant results will be filtered.
Guide and Map content is updated once a quarter, and available for download if you have purchased the relevant guide.
The country map roughly corresponds to a 1:1 000 000 paper map in terms of its detail and will allow you to view the map at different zoom levels.
Your position, determined from your iPhone or iPad’s location service, will display on the map so you can accurately orientate yourself on the map.

Without Tracks4Africa we would have been lost on our trips to Southern Africa. The app provides good additional information for trip planning

since thhe last update. the map us not showing. only the request to provide information and input all. but all buttons are grayed out. so if nothing is done on this. no stars. but i have to say. before it was a good supporting tool for planning business and leisure trips

As mentioned above, if Zoom is bigger than 8.00 it goes blank. This makes this app useless. It used to go up to 13.00 Zoom. Please update ASAP!

Haben Tracks4AfricaGuide in Namibia benutzt. Alleine die Möglichkeit offline die Telefonnummern von verschiedenen Lodges und Apartements nachzuschauen ist nützlich. Das geht aber genausogut mt einem Reiseführer. Zur Navigation ist Tracks4AfricaGuide nur bedingt nutzbar da die Karte SEHR grob ist. In der Stadt kann man damit garnicht navigieren. Ein Unding ist, das es keine Möglichkeit gibt die Entfernung zu einem ausgewählten Objekt anzuzeigen!

Achtung: Tracks4AfricaGuide ist nicht zur Navigation geeignet, dafür lässt sich in Ortschaften nicht ausreichend heranzoomen. Es ist mehr eine Sammlung von POIs und den dazugehörigen Kontaktdaten in der Umgebung. Ich vermisse insbesondere eine Rubrik „Emergency“ mit umliegenden Krankenhäusern, Ärzten, Sanitätsstationen, Airfields etc.

Habe die Namibia App dazugekauft, bekomme zwar viele Punkte auf dem Land Namibia angezeigt, zum Beispiel Tankstellen, aber leider fehlt die Karte von Namibia dazu. App gelöscht, neu installiert und dennoch klappt es nicht.

Leider ist Tracks4AfricaGuide nicht zu gebrauchen. Zum wirklichen professionellen Reisen geht Tracks4AfricaGuide gar nicht. Schade. Es gibt keinen Zoom, kleine Tracks sind nicht eingezeichnet und so weiter.

Ich konnte Tracks4AfricaGuide in Botswana nicht nutzen, da sie keine Mehrwert brachte.
Positiv:
- GPS-Daten wurden zuverlässig gesendet
- Nürzliche Hinweise (z.B. Tankstellen, Supermärkte, Sehenswürdigkeiten)
Negativ:
- man konnte nicht nah genug heranzoomen, um genau zu sehen wo man ist
- die Städte-/Regionnamen standen über den Straßenzügen, so dass man nicht mehr den Straßenverlauf sehen konnte....
- Preis
Fazit: ich habe die teure App nach zwei Versuchen kein weiteres Mal genutzt...

Please fix the bug that we can not see the streets in the Namibia map. I need it on Sunday and payed for this ;).
