The Vault Erfahrungen und Bewertung

Although the app has its plus points i will now stop using it entirely. The syncing never worked properly, maybe because I have an iMac, a macbook, an iPad and 2 iPhones. It probably just got confused.
Syncing via dropbox was also another nuisance which I don't have using apple's native notes app. Previously the native notes were not using 256 bit security but since they now do this very elegantly there is really no need for another third party app.

The help in the vault is terrible. With a little effort a decent web-site would have been much better.

The feature where all numbers and anything this darned thing believes to be a user name, a password or any other type of identifier aopear in green, can't be easily copied or cut, can only be deactivated by putting values in quotes or adding a single quote at the end of each line. A terrible piece of unintuitive user interface.
Even though I used this app for several years, for lack of a decent alternative, I am glad now to be able to ditch it once and for all and use Apple notes which sync perfectly across multiple devices and platforms.

Update: bis heute keine Antwort vom Support, Daten weg :-(
Unter iOS 7 nach Update TheVault, plötzlich keine Eingabe von Buchstaben mehr möglich.
Supportanfragen blieben unbeantwortet!
Nach Update auf IOS 8 war die Eingabe von Buchstaben zum Einstieg wieder möglich....allerdings waren die ganzen gespeicherten Daten verloren.
TheVault ist nichts worauf man sich verlassen sollte!!!
Finger weg !!!!

...stürzt seit Update bzw. iOS6 beim Öffnen von Dateien in Ordnern mit Umlauten (ä, ö, ü) im Namen ab und schaltet sich selbst aus. Bitte nachbessern!!!

Auch bei mir geht nichts mehr nach dem Update. Nach dem letzten Zeichen bei der Passworteingabe schmiert das Programm ab. Man kommt leider nicht mehr an seine Daten. Bitte schnelles Update.

fuer schreibsachen ist TheVault bestimmt prima, aber fuer fotos kann ich sie nicht weiterempfehlen. reines chaos. schade, klang so perfekt.

TheVault an sich ist sehr sinnvoll.
Bei allen Versionen ist allerdings die Passworteingabe zu bemängeln. Ich weiß nicht, warum das so kompliziert zum Umsetzen ist.

Up to my opinion and i tried out 5 other apps in that field of secure password storage. Most of them are not the money worth and full of bugs. But this one here is simple with a clear structure and easy to use and a graphical interface without all that decoration and it is free of charge for the basic version and everything works as promised. So i decided to pay for the backup/restore option. Works fine with dropbox but crashes when i tried to transfer the Backup to a MAC or ipad with the WiFi part. Five stars when fixed and sync over Apples iCloud is in.

This app works stable!

I use it as my favorite password Manager!

The App can not only save notes and pictures, also any other formats too, including e.g. pdf and any video!!

I am just missing some usability things like:

- auto arrange of pictures within a note (auto spaces for each picture to show line by line or a number of n pictures each line)

- auto thumbnail from a video

- auto arrange for video or any data file

- a special media overview for all medias like pictures, videos, pdf and so on

- a slideshow with possibility to mix any format (pictures, video, pdf...)

- currently import from internal photo library is restricted to pictures, why not videos too?

- support importing files from dropbox

4.4.1 lost the direct alpha keyboard input on my iPhone. The response of the support team was very quick and helpful and offered an alternative solution: shake the phone to change the keyboard. Thank you!

Absolut Spitze das Programm, volle 4 Punkte, 5 Punkte, wenn Dropbox Sync kommt. Habe lange nach so einer Software gesucht.

Funktioniert sehr gut. Bin sehr zufrieden.
Wenn eine gute Sync Möglichkeit dazu kommt, gibt es den fehlenden fünften Stern.

Secure, reliable, flexible - it just does what it supposed to do.

Sadly you have explicitly search for it, because trillions of wannabe password manager pop up if you have a look in the App Store.

Funktioniert jetzt wieder wie gewohnt!

Erst einmal, diese App ist free, also probieren, es ist einfach Topp! Wie versprochen und beschrieben.
Kernfunktion: Fotos machen oder aus iPhone Album in eine Textdatei importieren mit Text versehen und mit AES-256 Bit verschlüsseln.
Funktioniert tadellos.
Für Zusatzfunktionen würde ich zahlen.
Fazit: wertvoll.

Was in den Details TheVault beschrieben ist, trifft genau zu: Einfach, dabei gleichzeitig hocheffektiv. Der höchste AES-Standard ist Pflicht. Solch eine App habe ich gesucht. Und noch ein Vorteil: TheVault speichert auch Fotos, zB. von meinem Führerschein. Ich nutze das Programm seit einem halben Jahr, ohne In-App-Käufe. Tadellos, bin sehr zufrieden. Meine Empfehlung.

Ich hab erst nach dem Download gemerkt, dass man da auch Fotos (z. B. von Ausweisen, etc.) drin speichern kann. Insgesamt sehr aufgeräumte und funktionale Anwendung ohne Werbung in der kostenlosen Variante.

Bei einem Sync Problem wurde mir binnen Minuten geholfen.

Ich verwende TheVault schon seit langem. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und die Weiterentwicklung ist erfreulich. Mittlerweile bietet TheVault eine optimale Synchronisierung zwischen iPhone und iPad über die eigene Dropbox, schnell und problemlos. Die Daten sind sicher aufgehoben (nicht irgendwo in der Cloud, sondern auf meinem Gerät!), leicht zu organisieren, einfach abzulegen und über Bilder einfach zu ergänzen. Ich kann die Verwendung TheVault jedem empfehlen, der Ordnung in sein Passwort-Chaos bringen will!
