Edit: very disappointing that the excellent, class leading reader was replaced recently by a plain (pdf?) reader which simply replicates the print format and is barely usable on iPad.
I will have to seriously consider cancelling my subscription.

I was purchasing the magazine for several years in a local bookstore. At some point I decided to try the (old) iPad app, which worked for me.
Then the app was updated to a completely new format, which I initially disliked. However, having used it for quite a while I now prefer the "new way" of reading over the old app.
The content, as ever, is world class and levels beyond competitive magazines.
Photography at times is even close to art und unseen in a car magazin. In particular I (and my wife at times) enjoy the outstanding scenery shots.

Before August 2020, the magazine had a dedicated version for mobile devices. Usability was superbe. This has now changed. The current edition is only available as pdf. On an iPhone, you have to zoom and drag around to read articles. You even have double areas of pictures for the print overlap. Very disappointed. Will certainly cancel my subscription.

The pdf-based reader format is significantly worsening the usability (outdated app interface). The former app-oriented format was way more user-friendly.
Taskbar (chapters and search functions) useless in the current format.

I like the app... full of nice stuff and really uses the iPads abilities. But I do have a lot of crashing problems when scrolling and/or watching vids. Would be nice if that could be fixed.

The iPad issues are worth every penny! Only thing I would like to see is an "in app" brightness control.

Habe bisher kein (Auto)Magazin gesehen, welches so hervorragend an die Bedienungsmöglichkeiten des iPad angepasst ist. Man hat nicht das Gefühl, dass ein Magazin für das iPad umfunktioniert, sondern speziell für dieses entwickelt wurde.
Die Bedienung macht einfach Freude und evoMagazine bietet wesentlich mehr als bloßes Seitenumblättern. Auch inhaltlich hat das evo Magazine eine Menge zu bieten: Die Texte sind toll geschrieben aber was mir persönlich am meisten gefällt sind die beeindruckenden Fotos. Weiterer Pluspunkt: Ein Probemagazin gibt es gratis ... Da gibt es auch andere Entwickler, welche bloß zwei bis drei Seiten bereitstellen !

I still prefer the old mag that you had to download. But I can clearly see the potential in the new version and I enjoy getting all the updates as soon as they're ready.
It's stable for me on an iPad 3 and running smoothly.
