Leider geht diese App nicht mehr, seit ich das neueste Update eingespielt habe. Das war am 17.1.2024. Seither geht es nach dem Öffnen sofort wieder zu.

Usernames are not displayed, because th date is too long and squeezes the username to a single letter instead of displaying it on a separate line.

Random posts disappear as deleted even though thy are not.

Muted posts still take up space. Also it's impossible to mute hashtags containmg uppercase letters, because all filters are treated as lowercase.

Floating UI elments like the post button and the update indicator are annoying and not disablable.

There is no answer on feedback to the devlopers.

Overall it is a pretty good and very snappy client, but the display of threads does not work properly. I’m sure that in a month or sothe few leftover rough edges will be smoothened out. It is a bit uncalming that there is no explanation of the clients business model (or saying that there isn’t any). Feels weird to not know how the app is being financed. Usually that means that we are going to become their product sold to someone else one way or another.
It has dark patterns about which instances it proposes you to sign up for. That is a bad sign.

The new app design looks great and I love the new functions BUT with the new version of Mammouth the bookmarks are not working properly. I can add bookmarks but when I delete them they still appear in the bookmarks and I can’t delete them. There are only two ways of getting rid of them, bookmark the article again and then remove it or signing out and in of the app, both ways are not very user friendly and annoying. Thank you for fixing the problem!

Es ist eine schöne App. Auch die Schnellzugriffsfunktion auf Hashtags ist super.
Mich nervt aber die Tatsache, dass sehr oft zitierte Posts als nicht verfügbar angezeigt werden - andere Apps diese aber anzeigen. Und auch die Aktualisierungsfunktion beim Öffnen Mammoth nervt. Ein Springen zum neuesten Post ist nicht schnell möglich.

Bis vor kurzem war diese App meine absolute Lieblingsmastodon-App. Seit die Listen-Aktualisierung nicht mehr automatisch zum neuesten Tröt springt, nerve ich mich jedes Mal und nutze diese App immer seltener.
Könnt ihr bitte die Listen-Aktualisierung wieder wie vorher machen oder so, dass ich wählen kann, ob „neuster Tröt“ oder „vom letzten Punkt“ aus. Ich lese von oben nach unten … es gibt unterschiedliche Lesegewohnheiten.
Mammoth ist an sich sehr toll und hat ein angenehmes Layout und ist zudem übersichtlich trotz der vielen Möglichkeiten.

Ich habe schon einige Apps für Mastodon ausprobiert. An diese App mag ich das reduzierte Design und die Klasse Zusatzfunktionen. Zum Beispiel die Follow-Suggestions, die Themenlisten und Quote-Posts. Werde erstmal dabei bleiben.

Endlich mal eine Mammoth den größeren Bildschirm des iPad gut nutzt. Auch die Schriftgröße lässt sich gut anpassen. Alle wichtigen Funktionen sind vorhanden und meist gut nutzbar.
Da können sich andere Apps ein Beispiel nehmen, Apps die für ihre SW unverschämt viel Geld oder gar ein Abo verlangen.

Die erste Version war gut, aber Version 2 ist nun richtig gut und bringt eine Menge an Verbesserungen mit sich. Weiter so…👍🏻

Love how I can tweak this to my likes! One thing I miss would be an option to configure the Home tab bar button to jump to the last read toot, instead of to the top of the timeline. (If the option is there, I missed it, in this case please let me know where it is.)

Speedy Client with some nice details (e.g. touch & hold for translations). Like it.
