app freezes on connecting with own server.
Tested on 3 devices. Sad as it took a year for getting an update and now it's dead completely

I really love this app and I’d give it 5 stars, but since the most recent update it just stopped working. I’m trying to connect to my PC and nothing happens and I can’t even click on anything else in the app and have to close it

Ich möchte mich per RustDesk vom PC aus mit dem IPAD verbinden. Ich finde aber die RustDesk-ID nicht. Diese wird nirgends angezeigt. Wenn das ohnehin NICHT angeboten wird, es das also gar nicht geht, dann hat das gefälligst DEUTLICH irgendwo zu stehen.

Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad support would be nice.

The app works fine so far. Unfortunately it doesn't work that I can wake up my Mac. I can't activate the password input field to enter the password. I also wish I could type the secondary click with two fingers.
I hope for further development.

Funktioniert soweit ganz gut, aber mobil kann ich nur zugreifen, wenn ich ein WLAN habe oder workaround mittels VPN mache. Das sollte man verbessern. Ich möchte auch unterwegs ohne wlan auf meine Clients kommen. Ohne den VPN workaround.

Wenn ihr einen eigenen Relay Server habt. Gebt die IP / DNS Name unter ID und bei Relay server ein. Danach lief es bei mir wieder mit der neuesten Version.

Wirklich ein sehr gutes Programm gerade um auch iOS fern zu steuern mit HopToDesk ist nicht so ganz geklappt.

Gute Alternative zu Teamviewer oder AnyDesk.

Hat auf anhieb super funktioniert, wie Teamviewer. Und bei bedarf kann man sogar seinen eigenen Server aufsetzen / hosten. perfekt!

Kostenlos und funktioniert

This App offers a mix of features none of the competitors currently do: You can view a running RDP Session (not offered by anyone else on iPad!), when using AirPlay you can see the Screen on the iPad as well as the connected Display (does not work with Microsoft RDP, AnyDesk, TeamViewer or RealVNC, but works with Moonlight or SpaceDesk), you can use the app in SplitScreen (unlike Moonlight or Spacedesk) and you don’t need a VPN (unlike with MS RDP, RealVNC, SpaceDesk or Moonlight).

The fact that it is open-source only adds to this amazing mix of features, which I think the creators should advertise more.

The only thing missing is support for the Apple Pencil. That would make this app, in my opinion, the best Remote App currently available for the iPad. I hope this can be added in the future.

Update: Nutzung aus dem Mobilnetz funktioniert nun ;) Danke für das fixen des Problems. AnyDesk und TeamViewer haben nun eine ernsthafte Konkurrenz bekommen! War: Nach einigen Tagen Nutzung stellt sich leider heraus das man Verbindungsprobleme hat wenn man im Mobilnetz versucht zuzugreifen. Wenn ich es recht verstanden habe ist das bekannt und es wird wohl daran gearbeitet, liegt an IPv6. Leider so nur eingeschränkt nutzbar aber ich hoffe das Problem ist bald Vergangenheit! Ansonsten: am iPad mit Logitech Tastatur: jedes anschlagen wird doppelt aufgenommen. War: Klasse! Klappt Hervorragend Ich bin sehr positiv überrascht, RustDeskRemoteDesktop ist stabil und beinhaltet schon sehr viele Funktionen. Noch ist Any Desk etwas funktionsreicher, aber dort ist auch viel mehr Entwicklungszeit in das Produkt eingeflossen. Man kann mit RustDeskRemoteDesktop und der Desktop Applikation auf jeden Fall problemlos arbeiten. Toll!

Self hosting is working well and never had issues.

Bin von Anydesk weg, da ich in letzter Zeit Verbindungsprobleme hatte. Habe hiermit die bessere Alternative gefunden.

RustDesk funktioniert sehr gut und hat bei mir TeamViewer abglöst. Ein großes Lob an den Entwickler- Weiter so! 👍

Als Alternative zu den sonstigen Programmen wirklich zu Empfehlen. Gerade als Unternehmen mit der Pro Version.

Ich kann gar nicht glauben, dass Rhode tatsächlich komplett Open Source und kostenlos ist, wenn man den Server selbst Hostet. Es funktioniert perfekt mit kaum Latenz und allen Funktionen, die man braucht. Vielen Dank an die Entwickler.
