A depressingly childish UX that makes one want to quit photography altogether.

How do you want to gain users if you have to pay right away even if you just want to look around??? Please make a free plan with limited functions and adds for the audience that wants to see our pictures and a paid plan without adds and full functions for contributors.

I promise you this project will fail if there is no free plan to use the app.

I’m willing to pay but if I don’t have an audience why should I do this ??????

You can’t even take a look at anything on this app, without a subscription. Feels like a complete ripoff. Absolutely awful.
Stay AWAY!

Nice basic idea but the execution is meh. The minimalist claims are really just camouflage for almost zero functionality. Discovery is effectively impossible. Scroll positions don’t hold. And it’s already becoming clear that it’s going to be dominated by the established “in crowd” of tech bloggers and influencers. And it’s already not scaling.

So, I love the app and WAS having a good time using it, but then, expecting the app to either sign me in automatically OR prompting me to enter my account data (username and password), but NO, repeatedly on all three of my devices I was prompted to set up a new account. And even though I have a running subscription, I have now been allowed to set up a NEW account on the same email address and am now no longer able to access my account from any device, though I DO keep getting notifications on people following my account or liking my pictures… this seems to me THE most basic requirement for any app but especially one with a subscription model. To everybody interested, great app, but you may end up “overwriting” your own account, so be careful??

It’s the combination of a beautiful app, a lovely and supportive community, a commuted team and a lot of great pictures. Having just beautiful art and no metrics adds a nice touch to it. It’s absolutely fantastic and one of my top ten apps of 2021.

A very nice app, easy to navigate and use. 5 stars for the fantastic community alone, lots of folks coming from the slowly dying Ello-network. Keep up the good work, I‘m excited to see where this is going in the future. 👍🏾
