Die App ist vom Grundgedanken her gut gedacht und gut gemacht. Leider arbeitet bei den meisten der vorhandenen EQ-Presets ein Kompressor mit, der bei intensiveren Dynamikwechseln mehr oder weniger deutlich hörbar pumpt. Selbst der relativ dezente "Klassik-EQ" war bei Klavieraufnahmen unbrauchbar. Könnte man den Kompressor selbst regeln, wäre die App gut. Schade.

Meine Idee war es, mich mal selbst mit Gitarre und Gesang auf dem iPad Air 3 aufzunehmen und zwar ohne zu viel Brimborium.

Ergebnis des Versuchs: für einen halbwegs netten Souund brauchts ein mindestens gutes aber einfaches Mastering.
Die App hier macht das so gut, daß man eine Ahnung davon bekommt, was ginge, wenn sie einige Möglichkeiten zusätzlich böte.

Interface mit Lighning Connector ist für die Aufnahme ein Muß, also hab ich mir das Focusrite Lightning solo angeschafft.
Das Teil funktioniert mit der Videoapp vom iPad prima, man erhält automatisch eine Stereo - Spur, auf welcher links der Gesang und rechts die Gitarre rauschfrei und unverfälscht (nicht immer von Vorteil) zu hören sind.

Soweit so gut:
Die Stimme klingt so, wie meine Stimme eben klingt und das läßt Wünsche offen (getrennter EQ, deEsser, Noisegate, Compressor, etc.).
Gitarrenproblem: Ein Instrument mit Piezo-Pickup klingt beim direkten Einspielen in ein Mischpult oder Aufnahmegerät mehr oder weniger harsch. Ist hier auch so.

Hier kommt die App ins Spiel:
Es gibt einen EQ und einige nette Presets, welche natürlich die Stereospur komplett beeinflussen. Der Einfluß ist hörbar und erzeugt eine Verbesserung des Sounds.
Für diese Idee gibts einen extra Punkt, denn der Gedanke dahinter ist einfach toll: Musiker, die nicht viel rummachen wollen mit Video und Schnitttechnik können schnell einen netten Soundclip als Valentine für die Angebetete erstellen, oder so.

Welche Wünsche bleiben dem Herzen offen:
Trennen der Stereospur und Überblendfunktion, so daß von der Gitarre auch links was auftaucht und vom Gesang rechts, wäre für einen Präsentationsclip cool.
Eine Möglichkei, die Gitarre natürlicher klingen zu lassen (Amp/Speaker Emulation) wäre eine tolle Ergänzung und natürlich einfach ein bißchen
Chorus u./o.Reverb.
Wenn die Presets noch Einstellmöglichkeiten hätten, gäbs eine glatte 7,0 in der Beurteilung und ich würde gerne sogar noch etwas mehr ausgeben für die App.

Bis jetzt war mir das Ergebnis nicht ausreichend, weshalb ich zunächst die Demoversion nutze, um beim Einspielen einen größeren Aufwand (Voiceeffect u. Gitarrenpreamp) auszuprobieren.
Aber selbst wenn das dann besser klingt: die Stärke der App läge eigentlich gerade darin, diesen Aufwand zu vermeiden, wenn sie das könnte.
Ein gespeichertes Ergebnis konnte ich daher auch nicht bewerten, da dies mit dieser Demoversion nicht möglich ist.
Super Idee, die App, weitermachen ;-)

I had the idea, to make on iPad Air3 a video of myself with vocals and guitar, with out much ado.

Result of my first try: to get a halfway nice sound, you need an at least good but possibly easy mastering.

This app does the job in such a positive manner, that you get an audible picture of what you could have, if there were just some additional possibilitys.

For what I wanted to try, a interface with lightning connector is a must have, so I ordered the Focusrite lightning solo.

The hardware works great with iPad video, without the need of any other app

You get automatically a really clean stereo track, with your voice und the left and guitar on the right monitor without noise, other than produced by voice and instrument (wich is good). Voice and Instrument are given precisely and realistic (the enjoyment of wich depends pretty much on your musical abilities).

So far so well:

The voice sounds just the way it does and that leaves ideas to wish (single track EQ, deNoiser, deEsser, Compressor....)

Problem with Guitar: the Sound of Piezos beeing played straight in an Mixer is alwas rather or more harsh. There is no difference here.

This is the point, where the app is playing its role:

There are an EQ and some nice presets that of course influence the complete stereo track. Although it seems with the presets, that the channels are already a bit opimized for voice resp. Instrument.

The influence it good to hear and enhances the sound remarkably.

That gets an extra point for the great idea, to make the live of an simple musician at least a bit more easy:

Musicians who do not want to fiddle around a lot with video and cutting stuff, beeing able to produce quick and without much fuzz a valentine clip for their sweatheart...

Or so....

What could there be left to wish?:

Separation of the stereo track, with separate possibilitys to influence the sound.

Possibility to blend the tracks, to get instrument on left and voice on right as well for a more realistic roomsound.

A way to let the guitar sound more natural (Amp / Speaker- emulation)

And - of course - a little bit of chorus and reverb....

If then the presets could be influences at least in some essential aspects, the app would have a 7 out of 5 and I were ready to pay even a bit more for it.

The bundles alltogether are in my opinion too much beeing asked for, although I understand the work behind them and idea is fantastic.

I can not say anything about saved files, because with the demoversion there is no option for savin at least a couple of videos, to get a final impression.

Up till now, the result is not completely convincing, wich is why I still stick to the demoversion and try out more effort in original recording procedure (Voiceeffect and Guitarpreamp).

But even if the result will then sound more realisic and altogether better, the greateness of the app would be, if there would be no more hardware necessary and you could have a great sounding videoclip en route....

Soweit ich etwas finden konnte ist das grundsätzlich die einzige App für eq von Videos. Ich finds schon ganz gut so, würde mir aber die Range der FrequenzLautstärken etwas größer wünschen. Gerne bis zu +-15 dB um etwas zu boosten oder rauszufiltern. Dann würde es auch den letzten Stern von mir geben.
