Don’t even bother downloading this. Securus claims that if you change your phone number you will have to prove its yours, well you can’t do that if they don’t give you an opportunity. No one is available under the hotline number and no one answers the emails, they just block your account and that’s it. Thank god my loved one will be released in a few weeks, so I’ll never have to use this awful service ever again.

The app doesn't work more often than it does. E-mails are delivered a few hours or days later. Known bugs are not fixed for a long time (apostrophes are replaced with ???, just to name one of the issues) and the customer service is awful. Mostly one is put off on the phone or the blame is shifted to the prison. This app is definitely a pain in the ass! They make so much money with the Inmates and their families and are not able to offer an at least decent service.

One of my friends whom I am writing got a new tablet and therefore also the securus app. I tried to download the app on my phone but unfortunately, I can't create an account. Since I don't have an American number or an American adress address. When I tried to enter my email address and my password on the regular website, it's shown that I should call the number 9727341111 and then provide code 101. I tried but I can't get anyone on the phone because I can't provide an area code and a 10-digit phone number. I'm from Germany. I also sent an email about the problem but nobody answers. I get notification in my email account that he sent me messages but as I said I can't create an account so I'm no longer able to see his emails which means I have lost contact with him since weeks. I'm dissappointed and it's very sad. I also can't use up the 55 stamps that I still have on my jpay account.
